There are two excellent theories for arguing with women. Neither one works.

Wonder if any of the fellas will read this.

Have a great week folks. Enjoy as much as you can.

LInda I sure do agree with you about "tis the season". I enjoy eating many of the summer veggies like corn, tomatoes and things that come from the garden. I will probably not eat toms all winter long.

Looking forward to a HOT week here with temps over 90s all days of the upcoming week. Getting ready for Chicken Fry at church for Labor Day. We will have our fry on August 31. Labor Day comes early this year.

L: Sara Lee bread sandwich, turkey and light laughing cow cheese. grape tomatoes. iced coffee

Snack: pickles iced coffee

Well, dish is up and the techs didn't get zapped by the weather; we've been cloudy all day but not thunder bumpers...for those who wondered about my "line of fire" comment, I live on the side of a hill, not in the path of anything above me and well above where it levels out and causes flooding....I'm set here in case of really bad weather.

B. coffee/milk, jimmy dean light breakfast muffin, crystal light for the pills

s. raw turnip and a baby bel light...just water all day to drink

S. Lean Cuisine chicken marinara and a diet pepsi

oh! somewhere in there I had a couple segments of grapefruit

600 kcals...may have some popcorn later, we'll see how I feel..

Tuesday's foods UD

Had that nectarine with pepper and balsamic vinegar last and didn't sleep too well...wondering if I had it too late and if balsamic interrupts sleep like aged cheese is supposed to? No other reason for the disruption, so I'll go with that.

Coffee/milk

B. turkey sausage & scrambled eggs with a bagel thin and crystal light for the pills.

s. small cuke, 3 small radishes and 3 small red peppers...everything came in threes today. Sashimi (a couple ounces each of tuna and salmon with pickled ginger (gari) and an arnold palmer

Wednesday's Food DD

Glad to see you found some strawberries, Doris...I picked up some at Sam's today when I returned the TV I bought yesterday...too big for my cabinet...well, it would fit but would be overwhelming...Took N with me before she cleaned and bought a few things for her as well. They had some cute sleepers for the young'un, so she's set for this winter (if it ever comes)

coffee/milk a couple through the morning, then a couple bites of melon while I was slicing 'em up.

About 3 p.m. a small veggie plate, cucumber, mini peppers, cauliflower and baby carrot...arnold palmer

About 6, NS risotto and a couple pieces of lo salmon

that's under 500 kcals and may have some strawberries as evening snack, or melon,

Thursday's food UD

Thanks, y'all, glad something is working. It's not much and probably not as much as I've hoped, but it's a loss and I'll take all I can get. Hoping when cooler weather gets here, I'll get the b in motion and work some of it off. Right now it's hotter than blue blazes, 106 today with high humidity, rain all around me, flooding and huge boulders being moved by mother nature, but dry here...more of the same tomorrow and I have to go through the canyon to Redlands so hoping it all goes well.

coffee/milk

B. hb eggs, bacon, and a tomato, grape/pomegranate juice for the pills...have cut regular juice down to the four ounces we got when we were children.

L. lo pizza, diet pepsi

S. fruit - couple of strawberries, a nectarine, and about a cup each of watermelon and honeydew...a bit of cottage cheese.

decaf/milk for later

1100 kcals

Mary, I think running around with your niece these past several days has helped things to move on in your body, without you having to make a big deal about exercising!! Keeping busy, and enjoying it too, that is great. Wish your heat wave would expire soon, I'm not looking forward to this weekend, ours is staying put until next week. We can all sweat together, I guess!!

Good Night!

A fairly good day with lots of cleaning as my workout...

coffee/milk before and half a banana about noon.

L. about 1330, BLT on lo carb bread, crystal light for the pills

s. decaf, some veggies...red bell pepper, cucumber, cauliflower, and radishes

S. about 1800, chicken livers and some kale...fixed Okie style, bacon and onions, with a lot of pot likker (tomorrow I'll make cornbread to go with it)...tried the kale chips and just don't like 'em. I'll take my greens cooked and maybe the kale salad from costco, really liked that.

Just had water to drink...trying to figure out if I want anything else.

550 kcals and only 19 carbs
