Looking for committed buddy(ies) to lose weight with me once and for all!

Hi :hiya:, my name is Sophie and I need to lose 111 lbs  I have no idea of how long this will take me, but I am allergic to soy and won't be eating packaged or boxed foods. Nor will I only eat protein. I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT BY SWITCHING TO A HEALTHIER WAY OF EATING (LEAN AND GREENS, A FEW FRUITS AND DEFINITELY EATING MORE ORGANIC AND NATURAL FOODS). You can be on any diet. I just need to find a buddy or a small group of people who are committed to losing this weight with me once and for all.

I'm a daily weigher and need somebody who is willing to weigh in at least once a week for accountability.

I'll be 60 next year and want to live the rest of my life lighter and healthier. I'm 5'.5" and want to weigh 140. Right now I'm weighing 251. Need to lose 111 lbs. I know the big holidays are coming up around the corner, but I want to lose at least 1/2 of it (55.5 lbs) by my next birthday (01/19/14) and I have 5 months to do it. The other 50% I'll lose byt next Summer.

If you want to ride with me on this journey, please reply to this post, stating your goals.

Let's team up and lose this weight once and for all. No going back and no more cheating. This is a new healthier way of living for me!

Blessings,

Sophie.

Hey Sophie, welcome to this forum...hope you'll stick around long enough for us to get to know you. We're an assorted group who have been leaning on each other for some time now...an eclectic group who have different woe (ways of eating). We have the menu and exercise threads where people post their daily shortcomings/successes and I'm sure you'll find them interesting.

Be sure to check out other sites on this site...there are several in the weight loss groups that might fit your needs. I follow the JUDDD alternate day dieting woe and have lost about 40 pounds through the support I found there...there are some threads that support challenges that you may also find interesting.

Good luck on your journey...it is a change to your way of life, no longer a diet...keep the faith, you can do it.

Hi, Mary!

Thank you for your support. I hope to buddy up with one or two committed people. Don't think I need a big group. That would take too much time to keep track of anyway ...

But if no one is interested or find my post, I'll definitely check out those sites or threads you suggested.

Thanks again and congratulations on your success! :shake:

Blessings!

Sophie
