Tis that time of the year for our annual spiedie fest and hot air balloon rally. Sure do miss seeing them fly over our old house.

Hope all of you have a nice day.

We are back from our dinner out, and Blue seems just fine.

Our friends who were the first to meet the boys back in April, cannot believe how
"Friendly and fearless" the boys have become.

Before, they used to hide under our bed when strangers came in. Now they examine any new visitor and even allow some visitors to pet them.

Not sure what we will do Sunday. Our original plan was to take a scenic drive to Bellingham to visit a garden there and then hit Trader Joes and COSTCO, but DH is really tired out from the all day fundraiser at the animal shelter.

Have a good one.

Cool down today and for the next few. Thanks Linda.

Good O Begete. The little feller is a trooper. I love those boys.
Weeding and emptying the Cherokee out and a inside cleaning then off to the "plastic surgeon" for fender and bumper replacement tomorrow morning. No clue how long I will be without wheels.
Ms. SuSun slept on my pillow at the top of my head. She started on my back as usual but didn't like all my trips to the loo I think. Maybe she knew I was sad about the Jeep and stayed close to me for a bit of comfort.
Gotta et this day a rolling.

Good Morning Everybody,

Lainey, Ask if they can give you a loaner car to use while yours is being worked on - can't hurt to ask ??

Babette, Glad to see you're able to get around with the broken ribs - be careful -

Linda, Nice pix - Have always wanted to go to the Albuquerque balloon fest, but haven't made it there yet.

Will be meeting a friend for brunch today to discuss a possible volunteer opportunity, and then later on meeting another bunch of ladies for a jewelry party. Fun stuff!

Hope you all enjoy your day,
Michele

Thanks for starting, Linda, I was simply too tired last night to even turn on the computer. Son is uncomfortable but has pain med, after the CT scan tomorrow morning, maybe he will know more and see what's next. Sorry the Amish market was not too special this time around.

Begete, are you wrapping your rib up? Can you do the trip to Bellingham tomorrow, and all that shopping, sometimes Monday the stores are less full. We need a Costco trip really badly, hope to find it this week.

Lainey, wishing your Jeep a good fix up, do they have Senior discounts, perhaps? We are surprised at how many places have that here, even the plumber has Senior discount, and we will need him soon, too.

Michele, I hope you find an interesting volunteer opportunity, you have a kind heart! Enjoy your jewelry get together today. Yes, the power bill is a surprise, we had a 25% discount in Calif. due to dh working in the company his whole life, does make a difference.

Gladys, enjoy your nap time during the day! Do you still take your I pad to bed?

Plano has a big air balloon extravaganza in September, and during springtime, too, sometimes you see several going up during the week, dil wants us to go see the show this year, don't know if the heat will interfere.

Had our first larger gathering here yesterday, lots of laughs, and the burgers my dil makes are huge, could barely finish one of them. Was fun to watch Silas interact with everyone.

Trying to have a slower day today, it's supposed to be less humid today, so the weather guru's say.

Enjoy what you can, friends. And prayers for those who can't

Sunny Sunday, but still in the mid 70's.
Slept till 4:30 not bad, waited for daylight then went to the horse barn. The earlier I let them out the less ...I have to rake out.
Will be napping later.Linda, yep that's what retirement means to me.A well trained husband helps also.lol
Lainey, did the jeep have to be fixed or could you still drive it like that?
Michele,have fun with your friends.
Doris, how is your DH feeling about the new life, bet he is enjoying it.
Begete, you need to write a children's book about the kittens.
Linda,nice picture in avi.

Gladys, been driving it with it's black eye.

Got strange looks when I did hand signals on the left turns but the right turns worked. COPS gave me some stares but no persuit Thank Heavens. No loaner needed for me- happy to not go anywheres and don't hardly go anywheres anyway.

We are still dringin up tp Bellingham today but forgoing visiting the garden.

As long as I keep taking my pain meds, and keep my posture very rigid, the rib doesn't hurt too badly.

Gabe is arriving the 15th and for other reasons, today is the ONLY day we can get to the mainland for shopping before we pick him up at the airport.

Hi everyone. We're back and had a great time. I'm suffering now with an eye problem that I'll need my doc to correct. There's always something huh.

The weather up there was just right and no problems with flying creatures. We did have a bear come through camp. We didn't hear a thing not even the dogs. When D got up he was surprised to see the paper stuff scattered and our sun shower water bag distorted. Ha. I bet that bear got one heck of a surprise when he bit into that thing. Would have liked to see him when the water hit him in the face.

It's a little hard trying to type with one eye closed so will see you all later. Have a lovely Sunday. Bye for now.

Sharon, I'm glad you are back, but sorry about your poor eye, is it safe to wait for the doctor?

Julie, been wondering about you! Bet you are lovin' the I pad, my son wants me to get one someday. Says my pc is too old now.

Hi Mary, any races on today for you? dh was watching some motorcycle races and than bike race, kept him occupied.

Begete, I understand how you have to set your shopping days on a calendar, to avoid extra trips.

Tomorrow, dh goes to meet his new primary doctor, supposed to be a good one for Seniors, but we shall see. Looked him up on the internet. We like the liver specialist he met last Thursday. This primary doctor is only close to 3 miles away from us.

Son has early AM CT scan, I'm already nervous about it, but nothing we can do to change anything, even money wouldn't help.

Hoping to hear from Verleen at some point.

Taking a heat break.

Hate to stop cause starting back takes a real push. Dr. in N.Y. said that was like most people with low BP.
It is a beautiful day but the sun still feels a bit burney on the skin. Breathing clean, sweet air and way less sweating sure is nice though.
Saw my beautiful frog again yesterday ( who knows if it is the same one ) so I named him- guess what? KERMIT of course. He was not in the same place this morning and needless to say I have visions of the kitties dinning on him like kitty gourmets.
Seems I have worked up a big hunger so gonna see what is easy in the firdge till time to shuck and cook my corn fest for myself toniht when it cools way down.
Ouchie on that eye and I sure would perfer knowing a bear visited than be there when he/she does. You were in the wilds, huh?

Fingers crossed Doris for your DS's results. Waiting with bated breath and waiting to exhale, not a pleasant time.

Michele, what kind of volunteer work?
I too am on the look out for something rewarding and interesting.
Although I am still working a little, it would be good for something fun for my future days.

Babette, glad your kitty has recovered so well. Kudos to John for the fundraising at the animal shelter. A much needed job for sure.

Hi Julie, seems you are getting used to your ipad the more you use it. Hope to meet up with you again over the Winter for lunch again.

Ouch Sharon on your sore eye. Hope you can get it assessed by an MD soon. The nearest wild life I see is a regular little black squirrel that comes right onto my deck for his breakfast every day. He like filberts. I did drive along a country road last night with DGD and a young deer crossed in front of me, glad I was going slow.

Nothing much on my agenda today, small BD celebration at DDs with a BBQ.

DS is in the black forest region today, he said he walked through the woods with a friend, she is letting him stay at her house for a couple of nights on his way to Strasbourg then on to Cologne the rest of the week.

I am working tomorrow as it is a Stat holiday up here so extra pay Ha!

Waving at EveryOne, hugs and prayers to those needing them right now.
