Keep on keeping on. Exercise is just one important item in getting to and maintaining a goal weight.

Thanks be to Loretta for keeping this going.......

I didn't do much today, but I have found a box with the rest of my weights, out in the garage! Going to show grandson the rebounder, see what he does with it. We spent too long today yapping with the Terminex man, and than went out to lunch right after he left, oh my! He was telling us about his lap band surgery woes, showed his scars and everything......then dh showed his liver transplant scars, and the show was on.

Yes, Thank YOU again Loretta for keeping this thread going and keeping us on our toes so to speak.

I am presently, "Desperately Trying Susan." Ha!

I just took a small jog and fast-paced walk in attempt to get back at it.
DD is coaching and pushing me along asking me daily, so that helps.
I am not going at the pace she goes but it is a start for me and all this extra weight I have gained this past year.

This thread really helps too.
So thank you again Ladies for keeping things going.

I weighed myself at dil's bathroom and have lost 8 lbs., not really trying, it has to be all the walking around this house where every room seems to be at the end of a long hallway. Even the kitchen is bigger than the one in Calif., with the island and all, always have to go around it to get to something.
Other than that, doing laundry, looking through piles of old lines, matching them up or putting stuff into yet another donation bag is what I've been doing. Nothing special at all, we are both tired today, not used to all the talking, carrying on, food prep, etc. dil did so much of it, she is on the ball, that is for sure!
Susan, does that group of women you walked with still go out on the weekends, or is that not done during the heat of summer? We still have not walked here, just too danged hot, you don't see others out, except very early in the AM, usually walking doggies, very quickly so they can get home.

See yah tomorrow!

Yes Doris, the Walking group still goes on alternate Saturday mornings as usual. We walk rain, snow or shine. Most just stroll along busily chatting what's on their minds.

Well done on the 8lb loss. I guess I should move house huh?

Way to go on the 8 lbs lost Doris. Hope it wasn't too much of a loss for you. Yes, all of that stress from the move and all of the running around will do that.

Just did a two hour walk today but no hand weights.

Nope, Susan, I don't recommend moving to gain more exercise to lose weight, lol. Glad you had time to walk in the woods though.
We unpacked several more boxes, unearthing missing pictures for the walls, but still not finding the ones we have been looking for.

See you tomorrow.

I did go out for an afternoon walk yesterday, probably 3 miles by my signs on the road.

3.6 miles this am. Nice morning for a walk, no workout.

dh suggests we stop at a mall we have never been to, on the way back from the doctor appt., so that will give us some "walkies" time. Other than that, I'm switching things from one room closet to another room's closet, and filling up another bag for donations, somehow, we have too many towels and weird sheet sets that don't match up. Extras.

Oh Doris, it is too bad you live so far away. DD is collecting old towels for the pony's bath time. They dry her feet well as she has 4 white feet to keep them clean for the shows and such. I have a few old towels ready for her.

I had a small 'jog and walk' tonight after work on the bike path near to me.
I just did some stretches as my legs are not used to jogging. Ha!

It IS too bad, Susan, I would have close to 20 towels to send, dh suggests I save some in the garage to use for odd cleanup, and then I don't have to put dirty stuff in the washing machine. When we lived in the mountains, that kind of thing happened rather often, but here, we don't have too much yard, and we have a guy that mows, so no cleaning up of gas infested machinery, either. I can understand how important it is to clean the pony's feet up properly though. Our niece used to do that kind of riding, she leased her horse, but went to the place where the horse boarded, and did have to care for it. It was good for her to do that!

We wound up not going to that mall, the doctor appt. took longer than we thought, a lot of talking with the new doctor, he is fully ready to exchange info with the liver specialist, and take it from there. dh will have access to the lab there, so we don't need to drive to some other lab, and they do x-rays and other things there, on purpose, so the "elderly" don't have to travel far. I noticed on the way, a large assisted living facility, beautiful looking, and a whole bunch of Senior apartments, too.

See you tomorrow.

Sounds like good news with the new doctor, Doris. It might make DHs care easier so you won't have far to travel.
My prayers and thoughts are with you for your DS and family.

Partial walk this am, cancelled due to rain.
Exercise workout upper and lower body, have yet to finish the bottom.

Looks like more rain is on the way.

Wish we had some rain, Loretta, but then again, you might have had enough for awhile and are tired of it.

We walked around that huge courthouse, what a huge bldg., and got lost a bit, just looking for restrooms. Sort of odd to us, to go into the courthouse to register our car, and they had a huge room for that, with rows to keep the lines inside, sort of like the rows they set up for lines at Disneyland......except very few people were there this morning. The woman who served us was very kind, telling us what we Californians needed to register our car, lol. Goodness!

That walk was it for me for today.

That rain does sound a bit unusual, Loretta. I know people in PA who complained that their gardens are ruined this year, way too much water, Delaware people also.

We walked all around that county courthouse today, and, at the end of our business there, we noticed that off down another hallway, you could go right outside, there is a whole parking lot there, so people can just park and go into the 2nd and 3rd floor from there!! We walked from one end to the other, used stairs and so forth to get to this end of the bldg., lol. Of course, now our business there is done and we shouldn't have to go there for awhile.....

But that is all I did today.....tomorrow will drive all the way to Sherman, to go to the motor vehicle place there and have licenses changed.

Nasty thunderstorms and tons of rain overnight that produced many flash floods in Central NY.

Heading out for a two hour walk before it rains again. Might do hand weights later since I did nothing yesterday but have a tooth that was cracked badly in the accident removed. Oh well, at least it's way in the back upper right side.

Did Yoga class for 1.5 hours, then a lovely soak in Epsom salt tub, heavenly. ha!

Linda, that's too bad you lost one of your choppers to the accident.

Doris, Love the way you described those lines, like Disneyland. Ha!

Loretta, too bad you lost some of your tomatoes to the birds, if its not the weather its the critters. Oh well, St. Francis will bless you for that, feeding the birds.

It is the Hospice Walk in the morning so hope to attend and get my hips moving.

Looks like an all day rain here in Ky. Sometime next week the rain is suppose to let up.

Exercise workout upper and lower body.

The Hospice Ladies Walk about an hour, but 3 hours in all in the Park.
A gorgeous day with a lovely breeze off the river. The sail boats are a delight to the eyes too.
