Thursday, Aug. 1 Roll Call
Something my cousin in NC carved. He does a lot of them.
Starting us off for this Thursday and hope that our Doris can get some much needed rest.
Off to the dentist tomorrow.:stars:
Awesome August- and it is raining. Thanks Linda.
Steady rain since 6: am and much needed- told ya the rain dances work! I dearly love it when nothing in my house is wherring.
Doris, hope you ot some rest and I too am glad son got to come home.
Have a headache this morning but think it is coffee withdrawal. I went back to bed and slept till just now before making my coffee.
Hair wash day and ordering my Rx's at Sam's for pick up tomorrow S.S. day. It is great that if the 3rd falls on a week end they deposit it on Friday. I WILL run the Dyson today and hope to get a good beginning on tossing papers that are about to bury me at this point. Any pointers Susan? I know you just did that.
It is nice having my coffee hot for a change but it is still supposed to heat up later even with the rain.
Good morning all...cool and overcast here so enjoying it. Today's luncheon with my old work crew...they go out at least quarterly as a birthday thing...and they're including me which I kind of look forward to seeing all of the them. Also, today is the third anniversary of my retirement...my how time do fly!
Since I'll be in the neighborhood, I'll see the movie Red2 (I loved the first one and don't usually see sequels as they're never as good, but with Helen Mirin...I gotta see it) After that I'll go to Sprout's...a market that sells some bulk things I use and organic fruits and meats, although I really don't need but a couple of things....so it'll be a busy day.
Hope you all have a great day and good tidings of great joy come your way (and yes, Sharon, MOST old things are better.)
p.s. BTW, I've given up on the daily weighing, so imagine my surprise this morn when I discovered I lost two more pounds this month...something went well...I'm happy with only a two pound loss per month. Wish it were more, but I'm not struggling with in now.
Good Morning gang,
Got most of my grass cut yesterday, will finish today. It was very warm.lol
T&P's for Doris' family.
Louise and her family also.
We are ok here just a little limp from the heat.
Doug,are you seeing family?
Hogged out at Golden Corral and just miserable... goin for a Alka Seltzer right now!
Gladys, while on the Oregon Coast we are just being tourist, no family visits. Once we head toward Idaho and Utah later this month we will be visiting family.
We just love the Oregon Coast and the seafood available and always want to come back. This area has some of the biggest sand dunes in the country.
Hi All, I can't believe we are starting another new month. Whew! Summer is flying by! :dunno:
Love the carving Linda. Thanks for our start today.
Lainey, there is no magic wand re the paper sorting. It is just being self disciplined to sit and go through them. That's why it takes me a while to get around to it. :dunno:
After tossing about 50 items, I usually allow myself to taper off.
It should be a daily thing but I do it when I am in the mood.
The fly lady would probably suggest putting a time on it, say 15 to 30 mins. Maybe that would work too. Report back what you manage to clear.
Be brutal, some are no brainer purges, ...others not so easy.
Sorry you have an upset tummy today...been there done that many times.
:aprayer::aprayer::aprayer: and :hugs::hugs::hugs: for our very dear friends here needing them today.
Hello! New person here. May I join your thread? Would love to have a "home" thread to visit a bit.
Norfolk Mermaid: My husband and I ate at Golden Corral on Tuesday. Our timing was such that we hit the end of lunch and then the start of dinner. I am just doing a basic low carb so ate green salad with blue cheese dressing and pork chop and baked chicken. But ate way too much. Then they brought out the steak and I stuffed in a piece of that. Oh dear. Hope you are feeling better.
LoveMontana: That carving is just beautiful!
MsSarge: Patience and Persistence not perfection. That will be something for me to remember for sure. Patience not one of my virtues and I tend not to try things if I can't do them "mostly" perfect.
Hello bird lady and Doug_H.
I enjoy Reading LowCarb Friends in general and I thank you for letting me drop by here to visit and read of your adventures. See you another day.
Welcome 35dowwn, happy to have you join our daily blather thread. Please stop in on the menu and exercise threads. It helps us keep right on plan to put things down.
LOL Mary, gave up scales years ago and was happy to do so. Nice that you had a wonderful surprise.;)
Hi Doug, enjoy your vacation and that wonderful sea food. Will you be able to get those razor clams?
Hi ya Susan, yes it is difficult to believe our summer is almost over. Yikes!!
Hi Lainey, I do like Golden Coral but just must eat only LC foods, otherwise we suffer.:p
Hi ya Gladys, sure do hope we hear from Doris soon.:(
Heya 35down....patience is my downfall....I'm the old "lord give me patience and I want it right now!!!!" Welcome, hope you stick around long enough for us to get to know you and vice versa.
