Usual walk and workout. I have been taking an evening walk lately also. About 2000 feet that runs along side the cow pasture.

I haven't been on the bike yet, but maybe by next week I'll have some free time to spare for it.

Walking all around this house, over and over, up and down, seems to be my only exercise, except when we go shopping, and the stores here are huge!! We have been to Lowe's often, keep finding some things and forgetting other things, so have to go back several times.

We walked all over Wal Mart today, went first to buy lots of "stuff" for the house that we needed, packed the car, went home, unloaded, and then went back and walked all through the grocery section, didn't go to the garden section though, thankfully. So that is it, except for all the walking and standing and lifting, pulling and yanking stuff out of boxes here. A guy came this evening to pick up the boxes and packing paper, they are moving and needed it, were very thankful for it.
That's it for me for today.

Yes, almost every day.......we are going in an hour or so to watch him while son and daughter in law go to son's ultra sound test late this afternoon.

I have done no exercise today, just unpacked more boxes, and watched the A/C tech fix up the unit and clean it up so it works more efficiently. Then furniture delivery arrived, so had to make a spot clear for them to carry the pieces in.

I'm still trying to "keep at it everyday", folks, but no time for the bike at ALL, still unpacking, washing, carrying, etc., plus housework..........can you hear the violin play?

LOL Doris, moving is NOT a fun job at all.

Been walking everyday in one of the air conditioned, big box stores around here.
Off to Wal Mart to do laps again.

Hand weights later.

Unpacked some more, laundry, dishes, we wound up going to son's for afternoon, trying to pass the time for son's sake, from waiting for tomorrow's diagnosis, just came back this evening. Didn't do anything extra of note.

Three hours of chasing horses and kids around an arena...4H English Riding and Jumping class. Pedometer says just over three miles, plus 280 mile drive round trip to get there and back! But at least I spent the day up in the Arizona mountains and out of the heat.

Taking the car for it's 5,000 mile check up and tire rotation so will do a walk and wander there while waiting the hour or so it takes.

Might get to the hand weights this evening.

We left the house right after 8 am, went to Lowe's and walked from one end to the other, looking for all kinds of things, getting lost, etc. After that, we went to Wal Mart, found all kinds of things, for the house mostly, just bought some veggies and fruit and frozen shrimp and frozen stir fry veggies for dh's supper. Once we got home, we were pooped, but dishes and laundry had to be done anyway.........and so it goes, friends.

Hello
First time on this exercise board, but need all the help I can get.
Will start Adkins induction on Thursday as that is the 1st. Have been on my own with just watching calories and no luck. Only 1-2 lbs in 3 weeks.
As far as exercise, I am very boring. Go to YMCA and swim laps for 3/4 to 1 mile. That takes 45 min - 1 hour. As I am slow. Young stuff passes me up all the time. But I am very dedicated. Swim laps 5 - 6 days a week. Always. M, W, Friday I add deep water aerobics or deep water jogging for 20-40 min. So the weight should just fall off right? Wrong! Plan is to add walking outside as my walking is very bad. Today I went, are you ready? 5 minutes. Hope to add in a few minutes each day.
That is why I'm starting Adkins on Thursday. I did it about 10 years ago and lost 50 lbs so hope to repeat that, though I'm now 73!

Hi cookie, good luck with ATkins again, sometimes you have to make a change if you don't really like the plan you were on, it doesn't suit you anymore. There are some writings out about swimming not being that great for weight loss, but good for your heart and stamina. But if walking is hard, swimming is what you do best. Good you have been doing that for so long and keep it up! Many won't do that.

I walked, bent, lifted today, but not like all the shopping the other day.

Gladys, I still have to wash some dishes by hand, even though the dishwasher is nice. Old cookware won't allow being placed in a dishwasher.

Off to get ready for bed and the stress of tomorrow.

Just a two hour walk today and light hand weights this evening.

Doris, wishing your son the best tomorrow.

Hi Cookie, great that you are swimming and getting some exercise in.
Been on Atkins myself since 1997 or so and kept the weight off, but never left the plan. Hang in there. You can do this.

swam laps 1 hour. walked 1/2 mile.
Will start tomorrow on induction. Torn between Adkins Induction and Joel Marion Cheat to lose diet. Very similar, though CTL stresses low fat and after 3 weeks of induction you get one cheat day each week. Last time that is something I kind of looked forward to.

Walked a very long way from the parking garage to the huge medical building that housed this liver specialist's suite, in Dallas. It was uphill most of the way, lol. And hot as the dickens, there was a special heat warning today.
But that is all the exercise I had today.
