Sunday Roll Call, July 14

Good Morning!

Hope you all have a great day today! Also hope we hear from Doris and find out how things are going with their new home. Was so glad to see Verleen's post yesterday - when you're up to it, please drop in and let us know how your move goes. We all wish you the very best.

There's a chance of rain for us It's only supposed to be in the mid-90s today

BBL,

Thanks for starting us off today Michele. Do you still have some vacation time left? any plans?

Good to see Verleen's post and that she has settled in.

Waiting for Doris to get settled in next.

Cloudy and a little cooler today here but the 90s are on their way back.
No special plans for today.

Good Sunday morning. Thanks Michele for start up.

Mary Anne and I may go to Va. Beach and "play tourist" today. It has got to be cooler on the shore.
Got one more wash and the laundry will be cauht up. Oh how I have plans for around here come this winter- the yard, the house, the Cherokee... I can hardly wait. Course I have plenty yard work and just keeping up house work to easily last till October- Halloween (the for sure jacket/sweater fall time of year) . Sept. 30 th would be a good goal to begin house things as the house is now A/C.
Verleen, I was just about to call you and Anne. So very sorry you have worsened with your health. I sure do wish there was something I could do besides offer up prayers for you. Have you thouht of using "Hospice" more for DD & DH than for yourself? Mom had Hospice for 7 months and Dad for less than 24 hours but I found them to be so necessary for everyone as well as the patient.
Needing a little breakfast here so off I go!

A quick pop in to say hi before heading to the graduation party.
So good to hear from Verleen but Lainey is right. Hospice might be a huge help for you and everyone.

Thanks for the Start off , Michelle and hi to the rest. We leave tomorrow for our little trip, but hope to be able to connect to the ISP there.

Hi All,

We have had some lovely weather this week, but we are back in the steamer again today for the next 4-5 days. So indoor chores for me.

Glad to hear from Verleen and Doris.

Thank you for the putter tip Linda.

Lainey, Glad to hear you have your seasons sorted for the house, car and garden.

Waving to All and hope to bbl...

I'm checking in tonight, haven't read other day's posts so will go back later.
Sorry Verleen is not doing well, and worrying about her daughter and husband makes it even harder.

I've never been so tired in all my life, at least the furniture got here, but there are boxes all over the place, and lucky thing we have that glass garden room to stash a lot of them, besides the garage. Daughter in law was helping so much with unwrapping the kitchen and china closet stuff, even I can't believe how much there is though. The tv won't get hooked up until Wednesday. I haven't even called about the internet, figure it will be on the weekend though. Oh well, it could certainly be worse so I'll shut up.

It's rained all day, did you get some or a lot of it, Michele?

Linda, I'll have to read to see where you are heading to.

Going to head for bed, soon.

Take care of yourselves, and hope the heat wave in the Northeast won't make you guys sick. I've heard of another heat wave moving into the west coast before the end of the month. And look how hot it's been in eastern Canada, doggone it! It was in the 70's here today, but it feels different than the 70's where we used to live.

So glad to see your post, Doris. No, so far, we haven't seen a drop - but.... there's still hope for later tonight and tomorrow!

Sleep well everyone,

Glad to hear from our wandering Doris and that things are getting settled...it'll still be there tomorrow so don't try to get everything put away today. I've still got boxes that were packed in '94...of course, I know what's in 'em and know I can't use 'em now...soon, but not now. Not surprised that your comparison of the two 70-degree climates being different. It'll take a while for you to get used to the flatlands...I'll ask again, what part of Tejas are you now in?

/verleen, good to see you here, too...so sorry you're not doing well...hope it picks up for you. Won't go into the hospice, just to say the one family member who was in one life was made much easier. I was really impressed with the caring they provided him and the family.

Hope you had a good day.

Good evening folks. I felt a tad better today and was able to eat a little mac n cheese.

Susan, I meant to comment yesterday about your avatar. You looked lovely. I don't know where mine came from. I used it briefly once and bingo, it reappeared when I logged back in. The internet ghosts must be playing around.

Doris, I imagine you must be exhausted. Its exciting to have new appliances. I afraid we have to learn how to use ours. I think we have to return our new microwave. Its noisier than is even close to normal.

Welcome to the new people. Love this new bee emoticon.
