I had 2 pieces of fried chicken for dinner, iced coffee. That will do for the type of eating we have been doing. Haven't had any zucchini and egg whites for seems like forever. We just got the refrigerator installed yesterday afternoon, it is so danged big, have to get used to it. Need to shop for food.

Drinking more than I've ever drank before, all day and night, iced anything, even iced coffee for breakfast......

Sharon, how is your garden of veggies doing?

See you tomorrow, hopefully.

Sunday's foods UD

Completing first week of NS but won't weigh until Tuesday morn following my next DD..can't say much about the taste of the food as it's pretty bland and is, of course, mainly processed food. Still not eating the three meals and a snack daily of the NS foods and adding more proteins, veggies and fruits. Usually doing just two meals a day and a couple of snacks...

B. coffee/milk/hood's, hb egg, NS granola, 1/2 cup of 1% milk, a bit of ocean spray light for the pills, canteloupe

L. NS chicken & Dumplings, 3 chicken tenders. iced tea

s. pistachios, a couple of candies

S. 2 chicken hotdogs on the Joseph's oat bran pita, white wine

1200 kcals

Hi were getting our zucchini, tomatoes and green beans now. Hot peppers are still on the plant. Won't pick them until I need them. Don had his corn and loved it. Put the cobs in the bird feeders for the birds to finish up. We're enjoying our zucchini and eggs in the morning now. I have been cubing them and I feel like I'm getting fried potatoes by cooking them that way. Dh loves them that way too.

Linda when your menu showed cantaloupe chunks with greek yogurt that sounded so good. It's been a great break from eggs for me for the last couple of days. My scale shows another drop of a pound this morning too. I think the body likes food changes to hold it's interest. I can so easily get in a rut if I'm not careful.

Happy eating ladies!

Sharon, that is exactly why I have a zucchini every day, to take the place of hash browns, one of those replacements for what you really like, that has less calories. I'm missing them, won't get back to normalcy until next week, most likely. We haven't even shopped for food yet. Do you freeze your green beans?

Monday's foods

B: egg sandwich from Tom Thumb's store, coffee, black.

L: nothing, iced coffee

D: spaghetti and meatballs, ice water.

Snack: nothing

So far we haven't had to. We're just picking as we eat them. I will though if they get out of hand. Just by blanching them and then putting in ice water. Then dry on paper towels and bag in ziplock freezer bags. Is that the way you do yours if you grow them?

I hear if you get too many tomatoes you can freeze them whole in air bags. When you want to have a marinara sauce just put them in a pot with a little water and simmer with spices. They defrost in the pot and add additional liquid. Use a potato masher to crush them when they get soft enough. I'm going to try that if our tomatoes get going crazy.

Tuesday's foods UD

Finished one week on the Nutrisystem, down one pound...yech! I'm thinking I'll not get the second month's food as I'm not really sticking to their plan..over all I am, but adding more protein into my meals. I've found I'm not hungry which is a good thing, but I have a lot of gas...which is not. They have a lot of inulin in the food which accounts for both things...heck, I can add inulin to my food for a lot less. The food's not bad (remember I'm still used to meals-ready to eat (MRE's) and really like the C-rations which was their forerunner. but I can't eat three meals plus a snack of carbs and inulin....we'll see how the rest of the month goes before making my decision.

B. coffee/1% milk, NS bran flakes/more 1%, 1/2 banana

s.. coffee & NS granola lunch bar

L. Panda Express bowl (chow mein, veggies & orange chicken) green tea

S. corn chips, cheese, ham nachos, 1/2 avocado & a plum tomato, diet gingerale

1200 kcals
