Exercise Yourself July 1 ~ July 10
 
Will get this going for our gal on the move. Something we all need to be doing, moving these bodies.

Walk 3.12 miles, no workout today.

Thank you so much for doing the Exercise thread, Loretta, I forgot, dingle head here.

Was on my feet since 5 AM. Trying to get stuff done before the packers arrived.

Carried boxes, dug around in boxes in the garage, boxes that I didn't even know what was in them, since the flood of 1997, for heaven's sakes. Had stuff written on the outside, but it was wrong info.

Hopefully Doris is doing OK with the last of the packing and those movers. It's such a stressful thing to do.

Did only an hour and a half walk this afternoon and used the light hand weights after dinner.

Too darned warm and extremely humid again to walk outside so I did an hour and a half of laps in Sam's club.

Our exercise bike is stuck right in the middle of a bunch of large boxes, some with mirrors and stuff, dh tried to move them, but he would have hurt himself if he did, he is not like those professional people. Those movers pick up heavy boxes like they are nothing. Amazing, I'm impressed, so far.

So, we tore and pressed loads of boxes into flat forms, in order to help get the most out of the dumpster. It arrived before 8 AM, and was filled up by 8:30, so, I had to call them, and they sent the guy to unload it, and leave it there, to be filled again. The guy says he won't be back up here until Friday, so just to put bags next to it, and he will take care of it.

That's all I did, those danged boxes, my arthritic hands and wrists feel it tonight, dh says his hands hurt, too.

Anyway, that is my exercise for today. I'm online for some down time right now.

Loretta, it's so darned hot here too . Not very comfortable for walking because of the humidity.

Only did some laps in Sam's again and then did a bit of cleaning too.

Just back from a walk in air conditioned comfort of the Mall. Hardly anyone was there, so it was very nice.

Out for walk, no mosquitoes but did see several deer.

Exercise workout upper and lower body 30 min.

Walk around local antique car show and day of celebration.

Made a trip to Metropolis, Il, home of Superman. Then went to Casino. Played for several hours on that same $20. Didn't bring any back but had a good time.

Did two hours worth of laps at the mall. Nice because hardly anyone was there.:cool:
The plan is to use hand weights this evening.

We got an early walk today before the fog lifted with the fur boys. Felt good to get that walk in. It's been awhile.

Today it was over 10 hrs. in the car, only got out for potty breaks, lunch and dinner break, and that's it. We had lunch at that casino near Albuquerqui, so at least walked through the casino to get there, lol. My ankle and heel are worse, have to find a doctor after we move, think it's Achilles heel, and need a boot to wear for awhile, because I never rest it.

Doris, I'm so sorry to hear that you're in some pain - don't hesitate to take some advil or some OTC medication. I don't think you take things like that on a regular basis so if you need some now, please take some in order to help you through this very stressful time.

Doris, if possible can you apply an ice pack? Don't know if you're traveling with a cooler or not. I know several people who have had doctors prescribe Ibuprofin in 800mg doses for inflammation/pain. I take 600mg if necessary for my hip inflammation. Just the gel kind, not prescription.

Haven't been doing too much in the way of exercising, but am getting on the ball a bit. I ordered a Jumpsport Rebounder so presently am just doing things to get me ready for when it's delivered - probably Wed. The reason being one has to work up time on the Rebounder, like starting 2 or 3 minutes a time doing the Health Bounce. I'd love to be ready to do a 20 minute workout video I found. It does come with a DVD workout too, but I don't know what that one is yet of course. This should be so easy on my hip joints!

So for the last four days I've been doing the Health Bounces on my bed. LOL My 14 yr old cat loves them!!! She just lays there looking up at me as she bounces up and down. It's pretty funny. Today I plan on doing three 5 minute Health Bounces plus Leslie's 1 mile walk.

How so silly to finally start exercising to prepare me for exercising the way I want to. :laugh:

Just walked around the house, back yard, it's an upward slope at the house, that in itself would be helpful to walk often. It's hot, but windy, so it doesn't feel so hot, yet.

We are tired, but need to get busy tomorrow.

Exactly, Doris. :goodpost: Ice really helps as does script ibuprofen.

Just did about an hour walk with mom and came home. Did hand weights this evening.

I've been taking aspirin now and then, haven't had time to sit with leg up and ice pack, always having to get up and move around. Went shopping today for a new bed, wound up buying a bed and dresser, and some bedding, but no mattresses. Walked this morning, but not any laps.

Walked at the house, boy, it is a Big house, to us, any way! ha ha

Up and down the stairs here at our son's place. Going shopping tomorrow for house stuff, so will be walking at large stores. That's it!
