Menus June 23 ~ June 30
This is a view of a church in Kelso Mo that John and I visited last week. It was built in the late 1800s. John's grandmother went to church there.

Sunday's Eats

B: 1 sl muli grain tst w pb n smear of jam

L: 2 egg cheese omelette, daubs of ketchup

snack: 2 tbsp plain yoghurt with 2 tbsps of blueberries sprinkled with splenda

D: chicken breast, Caesar salad w pine nuts

May have a 1/2 caramel rice cake for the evening.(6 carbs)

PM: SF Cocoa

Another lazy day...catching up on last years Dexter before the season premiere next Sunday...

snacked all afternoon, it seems...chicken sandwich on Sara Lee bread, lettuce, tomato and an avocado slice..iced tea

mozz sticks with a bit of merlot, then some liverwurst & flax crackers

1900 kcals...tomorrow's DD will be a good one...in fact, thinking of doing Atkin's induction again...

Oh No, Mary, my dh will really be let down if the movers take apart the tv on Friday, so he has none to watch that show, one of his favorites. I've never watched it, lol.

B: zucchini, brussel sprouts, mushroom, green onions. 2 eggs. flaxmeal, garlic. curry powder. Grated parm on top.

Monday's Eats DD
Oh yes, Doris, new season of Dexter starts early this year...June 30, but hubby will be able to catch up when y'all get settled in Tejas...if they're packing you out Friday, when are you guys hitting the road? And should I stand out on the highway in Barstow with my thumb out? Or how about standing with a sign "Farewell Cali's, Hello Tejas"

Had a bit of luck at the casino, got even but then gave it back plus some....sigh!

coffee/hood's, black coffee, and a hb egg about 10 ayem.

Supper at five p.m., arroz con pollo in a ranchera sauce (just tomato sauce with some veggies thrown in), and a can of diet soda.

Sometimes, the shows are rerun later in the week, but our motel probably doesn't have the Showtime channel. Son says you can watch stuff online, after it's been on, but I'd never sit in front of a monitor and watch tv, we like to be comfortable, lol. Thanks for the idea though, I'll let son know because he knows how to "do techy stuff", so he can figure out a way. They don't get those channels where son lives.....well, they don't want to pay for those channels, don't have time to watch a lot of tv. I'll keep your reminder in mind though.

Monday's foods

B: brussel sprouts, small zucchini, green onion, and 2 eggs, scrambled. chipotle salsa. Flaxmeal, garlic. Grated parm.
a little bit of black coffee, since we had to drive through the canyon, no toidys. Sure enough, had to wait twice, for 30 min. of waiting time.

L: at our favorite place to eat in Chico, Sierra Brewery, had a good free range??? chicken sandwich and mixed leaves of green plants salad.

With Showtime and HBO, if you subscribe, you also have the Show to Go and HBO's whatever they call it....you can watch their shows anytime after the run...with TWC, it's the On Demand function...yep, I started both for the start of their "season" which starts this month....

Crazy day for food...od'ed on carbs again...oh well, within calorie-count, tho'.
Stopped at the market for Hood's carb countdown and just couldn't resist the ears of corn...sigh!

B. Coffee/hood's, Jimmy Dean light muffin with crystal light

Casino...coffee and a Fiber One caramel nut bar...and OMG, had a real rush of gas...hmmm, will have to re-check the label.

L. late...mixed greens salad with blue cheese, cucumber slices and cherry tomatoes, some crab salad and ceviche; beef burgundy, braised brisket and a few green beans...pineapple and melon, then a bit of flan...coffee and milk

S. two ears of corn buttered and salted...then two cookies and a decaf coffee. Planning on a nectarine later

1600 kcals..147 carbs...oh my! Tomorrow is another day.

We get those channels, but have Dish Network, have no idea if they have any buttons to push to watch reruns. Usually, the menu shows when they are on again, they do run them several times, and the one from the week before is on before the new one on Sunday. But, I don't watch tv, so don't really know what is what on that in the first place. :dunno: :hyst: Will have to ask our grandson for help.

Off to get dh's meds ready for tomorrow.

Dinner was simple: burgers cooked on the BBQ grill wrapped in lavash wraps.

Hot, hot, hot...102 was our high temp for the day but I stayed in and didn't do a thing...
