Good morning all. More rain on the way but I am feeling a lot better. Since this sinus malady is on the way out the door. I got invaded by the ants this week end, but think I won that battle. I have millions of casualties on the other side. I found this stuff a few years ago at the dollar general. It is called tat. Not only does it work now, but leaves behind residuals. my carpet was black with ants where they came in and made it no further. I got all of them up yesterday and then today I had another grave yard. So cleaned them up and put down another layer of defense just in case. Since the fire ants took over around here, seems like all the ants bite. Cant do much about the ones in the yard. We are still getting rain. Had another downpour this morning and supposed to be off and on the next week. And the heat it on. The joys of summer. I will take it over winter any day.

We also have more rain. It has been a very wet 2013. I hope we don't get a drought in August like we usually do.

Hope all are well as can be on this fine June day.

Morning all...pt today but I think I'm going to make this the last one for now. feeling good and I have the routine down so I'll be able to do it on my own...also if I need more later in the year, Medicare will pop for a few more.

I'm not going to burn out my eye this morning on the 'puter so I'm not staring at it. We'll see if that works.

Y'all have a great day and I'll type ya later...

Good morning everyone.

Not much going on here. Last week spent $10.95 on a frozen loaf of cinnamon bread that has 5 net grams of carb per slice. Like eating cardboard sprinkled with cinnamon.

Been a lot of years since we last we on low carb, and 6 years ago there were products galore available. Now everything is gluten free, but gluten free is NOT carb free.

Good Morning and thanks Doris.

Keep getting rain reports but it does not show.
I stepped outside with my coffee and the sun burning on my back thru my shirt sent me right back inside.
I got about 5 stuffed leaf bags for the pick up thursday. I have pruneings of a tree by the side fence to pick up and stuff into bags- again a chore that could have very easily been done during our warm winter. Sure have learned that lesson well!
Whoo, made my morning coffee too strong because I was adding ice but still too strong so goind to ice it some more.
Hoping for rain so I can pict up the inside of the house which is deplorable at this point.
Lets all make this day count looking after ourselves in all the little ways that sure add up- I plan to paint my toe nails a pretty pink with a glitter top coat.
"Why does she train that winter curl in such a spring like way?"

Got a call from the therapist just as I was leaving the house; they're cleaning the pool so my appointment is cancelled. Sure glad they caught me before I left...now Wednesday will be my busy day...eye doc in the morning, then therapist in the afternoon. So now my day is clear...what kinda trouble can I get into? hmmm?

Doris, you mentioned on Saturday's thread about losing the deer as pests as you move to Tejas...are you going to be armadillo country? I'd take deer any day of the week over those pests...hmmm, and of course fire ants are in Texas...hmmm, and jackrabbits. Lotsa of pests everywhere you go.

Babette, you are so right...finding real low carb foods are much more difficult now and finding really good low carb stuff is even harder. I was fortunate to find some good bread at the Sprout's store...it's Mahler's California Bread for Diabetes...it's 6 carbs with 5 carbs fiber, so one net carb. So you might start checking for products for diabetics as that's another catchword now.

Have a good one folks and stay warm or cool, or wet or dry, whichever one you're praying for...

Beginning to thunder and lightning here, and we are on the way for some R & R time, before the big moving, packing shebang begins on Thursday.

The reason l/c stuff isn't made too much anymore is because most of it was tasteless, and, even if it tasted good, you still could only have one or two servings, the same as if you were on any eating plan, have to limit the starch servings. So may as well find a tasty bread of any kind and only have 2 servings a day......... Plus, when stuff doesn't sell, it doesn't matter who liked it or likes it..........money talks and the rest of us walk.

See yah later on or tomorrow, once we get to our place, lol.

Mary, I don't think it's armadillo country, but snakes, red ants, and some kind of mountain lion country, and squirrels galore!! I don't even know if there are hummingbirds there, but I'm taking new feeders I bought last year.

Have a safe day, friends.

The thunder finally quit for awhile. Lainey, do you have a radio with batteries so you can hear what is going on if your power goes off? Just wondering.

Phone is ringing off the hook, whatever that means, gotta go.........

Safe travels for those on the roads. zeee, tell us about the doctor appointment then, doesn't sound like it went well.

Storm is just past me and headin to Va. Beach. I have never seen my front and back yards standing with a couple of inches of rain. Storm really moved kinda slow at 25 mph. No damage or injuries reported as yet.
More storms later toniht.

Hi all! Late check in, then off to bed to read till I fall asleep. I figure I'l get about half a page in before I doze off! Busy couple of weeks coming up, but all fun stuff. Sister coming from GA for Summerfest (our big-ass music festival on the lake), daughter (Air Force) coming for weekend, party with family to celebrate, then going out of town for a long weekend with DD#1 to visit DD#2 (who will have just gotten home from visiting up here!) for my birthday weekend, and other assorted dinners, evenings out, and nonsense. I won't come up for air until the second week in July! Then I won't have a thing going on for the rest of the summer. Feast or famine!

Yes, if I get here, I read all the posts in the daily. Only way to get to know all the people here!

I had to comment on weather people as I've noticed the same thing and laugh at them. Here in Southern WA, I mean, there is a big deal if we have some ice. Or snow flurries.

One year the station that carried an important NFL football playoff game interrupted the game to go over the very same info they reported half a dozen times earlier. The station had to apologize due to the furious reaction from it's viewers. It's kinda' funny, but wasn't at the time since I was one of those fans.

Awesome!!! I feel like I run in and out...seem too busy and stressed. I didn't do well on diet today. I mean, I stayed low carb, but I think I got up to 30 or 40 carbs.... not sure. But today I sort of didn't care. Someone brought me banana pudding... I thought about diving in...but gave it to another co-worker. Well, for a bad day,...perhaps not too bad. Hey thanks for listening!!! Oh by the way, the heart doctor said there is an issue with daughter heart... but that doesn't account for her extreme low energy syndrome.

I will start again to focus on LC. I am sleeping in..... way in... so if I come late again.......

Oh!!! weather is fine in NC!!!
