EXERCISE WEEK, June 9 - June 15
 
Please feel free to post what extra movements you do each day, friends!!

You needn't run a marathon or half a marathon to post, :heart:

I lifted 5 lb. weights in the bedroom around 4 AM, just couldn't sleep and anxious and needed to "do" something that was not noisy and tried to not wake up dh.

Will do the bike time later on.

OK! I work in Lowe's hardware. And today I was a spotter. So I walked fast and slow up and down the aisles..... I broke out in a sweat!!!! Does that count? :)

It sure does count, do you wear a pedometer, Z ? Some of our members walk around Lowe's or Home Depot or those large stores for exercise, when we go there, we notice many seniors doing that. Like Mall walkers, but not everyone has a mall to walk at, lol.

Did 2 hrs. on the bike, even while the people looking at our house were here.
Beginning to do kitchen chores now, and then yakking with my mother on the old telephone. That's probably it.

Sunday:

Walked 2 miles, did 15 min. on the elliptical at level 1, and rode 2 miles on the bike at level 3.

Some of those big stores like Lowe's provide such a nice place to walk, summer and winter.

Out to walk but forgot pedometer. Usual hour walk. No workout today.

Did 1 hr. 30 min. on the bike, the rest will be walking to and from the ballpark. No weights.

Walked and walked to and from the parking garage to the stadium, yesterday, and same thing this evening, and this morning, walked all over the mall, bought some better comfort shoes at Skechers, so sore foot feels a bit better. That's it, will be back home by tomorrow afternoon.

Later walk today with temps already in the mid 70s with humidity afoot.

1 hr Exercise Class, 30 mins power walking on bike path and then 30 mins floor exercises for core, indoors at the gym.:up:

I am drinking more Water today since I heard about my elevated Creatinine levels. :dunno:

Glad to hear those new shoes are giving you some relief Doris.

Hello folks, we are going nuts here at the "home", pardon my not posting the way I used to do........so many things have come up, changes made, etc.
Messing our minds up.

Walked from the lobby all the way around to the parking garage several times, had to go back and forth to the room because we had some extra baggage, and it's better for dh to stay in the car, and I do the walking and carrying, etc. Then went back to check us out, lol.

So, that walking and carrying is all the exercise I did for today.

Good for you guys, keeping up your end!!! :shake:

So, you have to drink more liquids, Susan? I haven't read the roll call yet at all.

Made time for 2 hrs. 45 min. on the bike today, then just the odd kitchen push ups, washed dishes several times, dh wanted catfish today, for a change.

Hope you guys had a safe day, what with the weird weather back East, etc.
I'm still waiting to hear from a locksmith, ANY locksmith...............:dunno:

Made myself do the 10 lb. weights tonight, doggone it, and the weight bar, now I'm ready to go to bed..........;)

Hey guys, going to list my workout here so in the future I can just post "water workout" and "table workout"

Water workout - walk with paddles 5 minutes, march 3 minutes, side lunges 3 minutes, side and back kicks 2 reps 15 each, squats 2 reps of 15, arm press with paddles, floating kicks 3 minutes, floating bicycles 3 minutes, and suspension 5 minutes, total time about 40 minutes with 5 minutes of jets on back

Table workout - resistance bands row and press 2 reps of 15, balance ball stretch 10 reps of 5, chair press 4 reps of 20, one pound arm press each arm 2 reps of 15, resistance band on knees (clam shell) 2 reps of 15, leg lifts 2 reps of 15.

I'm doing two miles walking on days I'm not doing exercises and will add recumbent bike when I go to the gym as well as searching for other equipment to work on as well.

Monday will be my last day at physical therapy and will miss the spinal and soft tissue manipulation but may start going to a masseuse a couple times a month to make up for it.

So today I walked and will go to the gym tomorrow to see about doing the exercises there.

Doris you will be out of routine for a while. Just take is all as it comes. You might have to make several adjustments.

You are right, Loretta, hoping to walk more and bike less, unless the weather becomes annoying, in Texas, since there will be someplace to actually walk to. I read that there is a library on the main road, need to see how far it is from us, would love to go to a library again.

Did 2 hrs. 15 min. on the bike today, we had locksmith here, plumbers working inside and outside, real estate guy, and neighbors chit chatting, phone ringing, all kinds of distractions.

Walk over 4 miles with the help of the mosquitoes. My legs are eaten up.

Exercise workout upper and lower body.

I dislike the mosquitos, also.....

Did 2 hrs. 15 min. bike time, the rest is standing at the sink, or cleaning out cabinets here and there in the house, catch as catch can......and phone yakking, Lordy, people calling who never called before, lol.
