BABY STEPS - LET'S DO IT! June 3rd -

Just starting over on an exercise plan to get back in shape.. I'm taking baby steps...just a little bit at a time until I gradually build up to something. I challenge anybody who needs a little encouragement to join me. We can do great things in numbers, just 10 minutes! Any form of movement/exercise/activity, whatever floats your boat, let's do it! There's only one rule - you have to do it for 10 minutes. Now share..... what did you do, how did it feel? I'll be back later to share my experience!! See yah later....

Good morning! I am trying something new today. Since I've been having trouble getting up early enough to go to the gym before work, I'm going right from work. This means having to bring all my crap to work with me, but if that works, then so be it. I'll let y'all know tonight how it went.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

I need to start doing "stuff " too...
I want to do more than 10 min, but I think I will play with my 10 pound medicine ball for 10 min this morning.

Let you know how it goes!

How'd your baby steps go? I know 10 minutes is light, just wanted to get started with something... to motivate myself! I'll be right back at it tomorrow!

Yesterday - I tried walking inside the building since it was air conditioned, and for some reason the app that tracks the mileage said I had walked 5.3 miles - HA! I had a good laugh over that one - It was probably closer to one mile.

Today - My co-worker and I left around 10:30 and walked 2.3 miles. It didn't take too long and the heat was bearable.

Did 15 minutes of Taebo yesterday...couldn't finish the tape... but one day I will. Anybody else doing anything interesting or got a good idea on how to get through an exercise routine? I don't know if its induction or just lazy, but I feel exhausted while doing exercise.

I started an aqua Zumba class this week, went on Tuesday and it was great working out in the water! The class is on Tuesdays and Thursdays (I didn't go yesterday because of storms). On Saturdays, there is a drop-in water aerobic at a facility 10 minutes away, so I plan to do that as well. At home, I have a stationary bike and a weighted hula hoop, and I also enjoy walking outdoors, so I will do 30-45 minutes on my bike tonight. This is a great thread, something to keep me accountable and moving - baby steps!

I bet the water zumba was fun, years ago I did water aerobics and I tell you my abs & thighs trimmed down alot...I just wish I had stuck with it! I'm going to the gym today and do 30 -45 minutes on the eliptical, we'll see how that goes! I like the hula hoop idea, hmmmm.. wondering if I can get it going.
