Thanks Doris for our push off for another Sunday. Love the Madge Palmolive commercial. Now if I come into contact with detergent, the back of my hand erupts with dermatitis, too much hand washing for years in the hospital days with harsh soap. I am glad to hear that you will have a dishwasher at your new home.

Doug, Glad to hear Jo is doing so well. Don't let her do too much too soon. Gently does it. She will heal much easier in her own environment more peaceful and less noisy as Doris mentioned.

Linda, WOW! Thank YOU for sharing those stunning Prom pics of your DGDs. They are very pretty girls, lovely for them to be starting their lives now. Where will they go to school in the Fall? All that moving comes huh?

Michele and Doris, Alas, No can't keep the firemen.

I feel much better today. I guess I can't do long evenings out like that any more...unless of course I start 'training' for them. LOL!

Wishing All a pleasant June 2nd and hope to be back later...

Linda, those DGD's are beautiful! Hope they enjoyed the proms.
Susan, sorry you couldn't take home one of the firemen. Now, that would've been a prize....:-)
Went to Kohl's yesterday which was having a huge sale. Picked up a pair of badly needed shorts, a bra which is going back, and a nice pair of earrings for the DGD who will be here in about ten days. I also have a nice pair of stud earrings to give her that I got as a gift years ago. I was so tired after walking all around that huge store and driving about 10 miles each way that I fell sound asleep on the living room sofa after. It was all that walking, not the driving that did it I think.
Doris, when will you be moving? All systems on 'go' on the folks buying yours?

Here I am starting my day early for a change. There just may be a nap in order later. Yesterday I scrapped my toe coming through our front door. Now I have one heck of a bruise and very sore. Last night's sleeping was a challenge to say the least.

Our weather has stayed in the 80's here. Still getting some windy afternoons to keep it down. I'm going to take some clips of my geranium in the front and start some new plants to spread to the backyard today. That plant was from my Gramma as a starter. She loved geraniums and had a bunch of different colors. This one is the last she had.

Doug so glad Jo's doing well.

Nice to see you iakaren. Welcome back to the Goldens.

Our garden is going good now. Looks like we are going to have loads of tomatoes. Wish you all were closer so I could share them with you all. The raised beds we did this year are the way to go.

Waving to the ones coming in later today. Will try to check in later.

Hey y'all...80 degrees at nine a.m. and it's supposed to be two or three degrees cooler today...when out temps climb here, I've begun thinking "at least Doris won't be freezing." So something good comes from higher temps.

It's Sunday, so that means staying home, staying cool, switching between the Q and NASCAR which starts early and maybe doing a load of wash.

Hope you all have a great day and good things come your way.

Thanks for all the well/bday wishes for DW. I passed them on.

She is really doing better than either of us ever thought. The muscle isn't cut like they did on her other knee 14 years ago so the recoup is much much faster.

Sitting inside today. Supposed to hit between 110 and 113 this afternoon with a hot breeze. Going to be a hot summer.

Hi all! I'm on Day 1 of SBD, and am thrilled to have found this forum. Is this the place to introduce myself if I'm planning on hanging around? I'm 56, divorced, live in the Milwaukee area, and have two amazing daughters. One is 30, married, a hair stylist, and currently in nursing school. The other is 27 and in the Air Force. Luckily, she's stationed only a couple of states away! I've been fighting the battle against my weight for over 40 years now, and have never gotten to my goal. But that changes NOW. I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and sharing support on our journey.

Good evening Ladies. Good to read of you again. I have been reading at work and cannot post there. We are in our busy season, and this year seems worst than most. Everyone wants to know what the shipping is, and then say they will check to see if it is cheaper at home and call back if not. I always heard "if you got to ask, you cant afford it" but guess no body told them that. I do pay shipping, because it is too hard to find things at the store. I went to my brothers last Saturday and he took me and the grandkids to a mongolian restraurant and on the way, he was telling me about this stuff to put in my car to help it live longer. I have been to 3 walmarts and not found any yet. I talked to people at 2 of them, and they never heard of it. He said he got it at walmart and when I look at the mfg website, it says walmart has it, but not around here. I will have to let him get some for me. Got up Friday at a new low. I love Juddd. Still dont know how it works, but glad it does. Then I got my bathing suit on, and went to pick up my friend Bev and we went to the beach for the day. Elizabeth and her family were coming 2 but by the time they got there, we were on the way home. Dont understand how people can sleep all day. Guess because I cant do that much. I had to work yesterday and then went to a party at Elizabeths afterwards and when I got home and checked my email, I decided to sit in the recliner and listen to the end of my latest book again. I did not hear part of it. After I fell asleep and it finished again, I gave up on it. Then listened to another today and now on the 3rd one for the weekend. I am listeneing to that stephen king book that is coming on as a mini series this summer. It is "Under the dome." Bet it is a lot different on tv. I went to church this morning and then out to eat with dd and grandkids. Then we went to walk around the mall and then went to walk around walmart (they did not have it either) and when we got back to her house, I walked down and around the school with the kids. So got my exercse in today. My grandson will walk with me every time I go over. But my granddaughter hardly ever want to go. So glad she went to day. She will be going to that school this coming year. She wanted to check out the trac field, but we did not find one. It is a big school though.

Lainey you are not so awful far from me. I am outside of Raleigh. I have headaches also. But mostly in the winter when my head gets cold. It wakes me to with a headache. I have found if I wrap my head up with microfiber cloth, it helps a lot. Have not needed it lately. I do not have the air on either, and have a little garden going. I hope we get rain so I can dig a hole and plant my blueberry bushes this week. I have them in water at the moment.

Doug, glad your wife is getting along so well. Think I might need a hip replacement. Or knee not sure. I thought it was knee, but pt think it is hip. Happy birthday to her. My grandson is a june baby, and a week later is moms birthday, but she is july baby.

Welcome to the newbies, and hello to everyone else. Got to run 9:30 already. Have a good night, evon

Belated Birthday wishes to Jo, Doug. Isn't it great, how far those replacement surgeries have gone now? My dh also will be needing one for his left knee, and the left hip might need a 3rd. replacement, but that will be after we are moved.

It's been warm up here, hit 92, began the day with the woodstove, switched to fans, and then the A/C is on for a spell, until the sun goes behind the mountains, and then, open the windows and doors, and bundle up in bed.

I'm going to just wave at everyone, mainly because I can't remember all the posts on here anymore, lol. So many people, too little time.

Stay safe if you are one of those out traveling. Gladys, how is your daughter doing now?

Have any of you watched Anthony Beadoin's shows on his travels on CNN? The last two were so good. One was in Libya and the last one tonight was from Peru. Since one of my DDIL is from Lima, Peru I was particularly interested. She cooks some of the dishes they showed.
Time for bed; it's after 11 p.m. See you tomorrow...

Hey y'all..what a day!!! Took puppy to the vet's this morning, waited an hour and half before talking to the office manager and then N showed up...she used to work there so gets a pass and has been a big help to me with the tail-waggers.

Called the therapist 'cause I was running late with the delay at the vet's to let them know I'd be late but it worked out that I was only about five minutes late...it's twice as far via the freeway but takes half the time, so it was freeway flyer all the way...worked the full workout, then finally had time to eat...brunch at one of my favorite fast food places...bacon and eggs at noon-thirty.

Then decided to run out to the little indian casino as they started giving me free play money, so spent a couple of dollars there.

Went to pick up puppy and waited another hour and a half before they brought him out...not castrated. They tell me he has either already been neutered or his testicles have not dropped...did get his shots and micro-chipped. Finally got him back home and he is so relieved to be back with the pack and the other girls are sniffing him, making him feel good. Now there's confusion about the payment...they tell me it's already been paid. aaarrrrggghhhhh! I'll get with the office manager tomorrow and get this straightened out.

Now it's almost seven p.m. and I'm finally getting ready to fix some dinner. BTW, Evonne, good to hear from you...I know how it goes with being able to access at work, but not wanting to, or able to, post....that's okay we understand and as long as you check in occasionally we're happy.

Doris, you definitely get a pass until you're settled into the new place...

Welcome newbies, hope you stick around and get to know us ol' folks...

Sending love and hugs to all...gotta flash something....type ya tomorrow.
