Sunday's foods

B: zucchini, mushroom, cauliflower, green onion, browned. 1/2 cup egg subs. Flaxmeal, garlic. curry. grated parm on top.

L: sourdough bread sandwich, light laughing cow cheese and turkey. H/B egg. Bowl of spinach from the can. black coffee

Snack: hot black coffee

D: salmon from the can, and large spinach salad, need to rid myself of it.

Sunday's foods DD
Spent the morning watching NASCAR at Dover, Del, goooo Smoke!!! (Tony Stewart for those non-NASCAR folks). and prepping some mushrooms and asparagus I bought at Costco earlier this week and procrastinated on putting up...browned the creminis and blanched a huge bag of asparagus in order to freeze it up. Can't figure out why I keep buying big packages of stuff...no one here but me and the pups. Will stop that soon, I hope.

Saved the bigger mushrooms to stuff...gonna try stuffing them with chopped chicken and broccoli in the light cream of chicken & mushroom sauce I have left over. Should be good...I'll report on it if it comes out okay.

Today's eats...coffee /hood's, half cup of cottage cheese, and the stuffed mushrooms later. Don't have a calorie/carb count yet so will check back in later.

Time to switch from the race to baseball...my team (Dodger's) are in the cellar this year, just can't get it together.

How does that old saying go????? Man proposes and god disposes? or some such.

When I pulled the chicken/mushroom soup from the fridge, it wasn't any good...let it set too long I guess. Oh well. Dinner was a bowl of light minestrone soup with a bit of chicken breast. Didn't feel up to trying the stuft mushrooms, so grabbed a can.

500 kcals for the day

Very early morning snack: 2% cottage cheese.

Breakfast: 2 HB Eggs/1 slice Dill Rye Toast with Butter
Snack: Lite Greek Yogurt (no fat)
Snack: Cream Cheese on slice of cheddar cheese.
Early Dinner: Spagetti/ 5 Pieces of cut-up Fruit (watermelon/cantaloupe/honeydew)
Snack: Jello with Cool Whip

One more snack tonight, but not sure what it will be.

I drink coffee with half and half throughout the day.

I love my salsa. It never tastes quite the same because I don't measure anything, but it is definitely garlic-y. Mmmm. Love garlic. Aso use tomato, onion, serrano peppers, fresh celantro and garlic. A bit of lemon juice and olive oil is optional. I would love to hear any alternative recipes you have for salsa

S. Lean Cuisine chicken teriyaki, a bit of added chicken and stir fry veggies, probably water or my arnold palmer to drink with supper

not planning a snack as of now...

500 kcals but 50 carbs...sigh!, probably not that much as I'll not eat all the rice with the frozen dinner.

But, I'm afraid that was not the reason I ate vanilla frozen yogurt with fudge brownies, a small pkg of M&Ms, 7 pretzel sticks, and a 100 cal pkg of gold fish..... I've noticed that if I stay strong, I stay strong, but once I start cheating, I can't stop.

Tomorrow we start again...

Wednesday's Food UD
Thank goodness today was an up day, don't think I could have made it without food...but didn't go overboard, tho' I did splurge...even had two cookies myself, Doris.

B. Ham & cheese omelet at the hospital, with a couple slices of bacon and a slice of ww toast, coffee

s. more coffee, Starbuck's this time, with a couple of macadamia white chocolate cookies while killing time waiting for the eye doc. then an iced latte later

S. slice of pizza and a Buffalo chicken wing...didn't feel like cooking, so I didn't. Had a diet pepsi with it

1600 kcals so good for the night, maybe a sf jello cup later, don't know yet.

The warmer weather doesn't help, seems I feel hungrier now, but back in the "old" days, watching what I ate was easier in the summer.....

Michele, maybe all that walking made you hungrier, too?? Sometimes, it isn't any ONE reason at all, that makes us eat :hugs:

My husband is nauseated lately when he even looks at vegetables, so I eat mine in another room. He is able to eat pickles though :D

The moving guy didn't blink an eye when I showed him the old cast iron sewing machine, lol.

I will take heed of the warning to take good photos though, I hadn't thought about that one, thank you for those tips. dh wants to put important papers into a suitcase for in the car, plus all of his meds, good grief, that will be a big suitcase full right there.

How is everyone who has a garden doing? I know Lainey's is beginning to bear fruit, but anyone else out there growing stuff? Loretta?

I'm off to bag some stuff to donate, trying to clear up space. :hiya:

Doris, it's really important to keep medications, important papers and valuable items in the car with you when you move. Never take a chance with those movers. They are careless and not really honest. AND take lots of photos even after they load the truck.

Anyway, been MIA again for some reason.:stars:

Brunch: two hard boiled eggs with mayo, cantaloupe cubes and coffee.

Dinner: Chinese food, chicken,pork and some vegetables. Coffee

Doris we've been enjoying our zucchini for a couple of weeks now. Catching them when they are on the smaller side makes for great taste for them the yellow summer squash. Don brought in a few of the cherry tomatoes that were ready but the larger tomatoes are still green. Can hardly wait for those.

This morning I had a Pamela's Baking Mix pancake along with scrambled eggs and coffee. Has anyone every tried that baking mix? It's all natural and main ing. is almond flour.

Will be back to fill the rest of menu at end of day. Happy eating. :)
