Thursday, may 29 or 30?

Sorry I do not know what day it is.....I do know tomorrow I am getting up t the crack of dawn to go see a garden that is supposed to be spectacular but on th mainland .
Just wanted to tell Doris that if that house is half as nice in person as in the listing photos, I am moving in with you!

Just kidding....maybe if it was in a blue st.

Have a good one

Norfolk Mermaid 05-29-2013 10:02 PM

It is the 30th...4 days till soc. sec. auto deposit!

Erm? what is a blue street?
Oh, yes! that house is a wonder of wonders. Thanks Doris but Linda e-mailed me the link. I got so excited that now I cannot get to sleep. Course being physically utterly exhausted might be a factor as well. Doris, 4 bedrooms? Are you sure you not like a live in housekeeper? hmmm- chop those veggies to your exact specs.... keep those wood floors sparkling; do the bills & shoppin; and of course the veggie garden and flowers everywhere. That is oin to be a magnificant dwelling for you two- oh, how I love that gas stove and fireplace.
G*d bless you both.
Might try to sleep again after a few Russian double solitare games on here.
bb in the morning.

Nice house Doris, don't know how this compares to the one you live in now.I like the sidewalks, never lived where there were those.lol This one comes with a GRANDBABY.lol Enjoy.
Weather is overcast with wind.
Had to go feed the cats, the bag was still in the garage so,dh didn't feed them.I keep the bag by the back door so it's easier for him to feed.
As usual nothing planned for today.

Thanks, everyone, for the house hugs, lol. This one is more house and far less yard, an acre is just too much for two old people, and I don't do anything out there anymore, anyway. dh is in charge of the yard work and planting.
He does vacuum, though. It will be nice to have the washer and dryer in their own room, instead of in the bathroom behind sliding doors. And a linen closet and hall closet, this house now doesn't have that at all, it's rather small, but we managed with the two boys, anyway.

Be back later, have to eat and rush off back to the bigger town, have barely any food for the present time. :dunno:

Good morning everyone.

Thanks for the start off, Babette.

Heathern, hell no!:hyst: I sure don't count calories. If you do Atkins Low carb, you only count carbs. Been doing it since 1997 and am still maintaining.

Gladys, Side walks are OK if you don't have to shovel them.:D

Off to visit my GYN for the annual. They only reason I go these days is to get my Vivelle patches, since I can't buy them on line from my friend's pharmacy in India.

Mssarge 05-30-2013 08:33 AM

Good morning all...the sun is a'shining to welcome the day :sing: Wish there were a fair to go to, but those come later when it's hotter than you-know-what. Anyway, it's a good day. I'm taking Snoopy back to the doc's today to remove the drains and maybe get some more info on what the lump was. Should take puppy in for a clipping, too, and he's scheduled for snipping on Monday. Other than that nuttin's planned...maybe a trip to Wally World as I can't find my resistance bands anywhere; I guess that's what I get for clearing out the clutter.

:hugs::hugs: More hugs, Doris, for the house...it looks great. and I finally remembered who I know who lives in McKinney...the ex-husband of one of my fellow co-workers. I only know him from reputation as their kids visited him every summer. Good luck with the move and the new domicile...

Y'all have a great day, may be back late but will be lurking fer shure...

Doris, don't pack your heavy coats/shoes/hats/gloves,donate them. The only time I wore a coat was for my MIL's funeral cause they keep funeral homes cold, then it was my light leather coat.Mostly wear a long sleeve shirt or my fuzzy hoodie.Begete can tell you what is cheaper to buy than ship.

Hi everyone,

Doris, love the house.

Took Jo in this morning for right knee replacement, the left was done 14 years ago. She's doing fine in recovery now.

Doug

mykneesareback 05-30-2013 12:16 PM

Thank you, Doug, and I wish Jo an uneventful recovery from this knee replacement, hope she doesn't have to stay in the hospital for too long!

Thanks for letting us know, I forgot!! :dunno:

Still waiting for the mover to set an appt. for estimate.

Mssarge 05-30-2013 01:42 PM

Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhh!!!!!! Two hours at the vet's to get the drains and stitches removed. He says it was just an abscess...benign tumor??? how can it be both? I had also seen another little lump on her back so asked about that...he felt it, then brought a needle and drained it, calling it a cyst. Why have I been going there for 18 years? Beats me...

Any way, get back home and give her the meds, then give them all a treat. Turn my back and look around and puppy is p...ing in the kitchen...lose it. Chastising moment which scares the c....p out of him, (literally, so now I have two messes to clean up) put a lead on him and he goes crazy...scared outa his mind....calmed him a bit and now my shadow is nowhere to be found. Will wait a while and see if I can approach him again. This will make it doubly difficult to take him to the vets on monday...big sigh! I feel like such a bad mommy.

Hope your day is going better.

AWWWWwwwww, Mary it is all good.

Puppies are not like kitties- A cat will sit on a hot stove ONCE- but he will never sit on a COLD stove again either. What are your guys names? 3 right?
any pic to post.
I think I told yall that my neighbor is in the hospital- Well, NeCe (their Papion) looked up at me and I swear to you the pain of missing him was right there in her eyes. It shocked me to the core. I had heard of that but to actually see it just broke my heart. They were waitin for the Dr. to make rounds to find out if he is coming home today- I sure am praying for soon for NeCe's sake.
I figured out what kept me awake till after midniht last niht (besides the excitement of seein Doris's house) I had filled 4 thermos containers with "Peach Iced Tea" and had guzzled that and even some refills. Needless to say i filled them all with ice water today. That tea just made me more thirsty and of course all the caffine & not to mention sugar sure was so stupid of me. Waiting for the sun to et real low and then weed whack till dark. Losing 4 hrs this morning was also a big mistake I won't do again- the mid day and afternoon ( highest heat is usually around 3: with noon already too hot to work in the sun ) . Babete, how do you stay cool? and Gladys, now you have some real heat?
Think I'll make some pasta salad for toniht.

Hi All,:D
Busy day,:stars: mani-pedi, waxing, shopping for an outfit for tomorrow nights. "Girls Night Out" it is a fundraiser for the Hospice. A meal and a show, with some dancing all ladies, and 20 firemen to escort us to our tables. Poor guys. :hyst: Tickets were $70 and then there is silent auctions. I hope I am not tempted.
I am wearing black pants, red top and red shoes. Hair do is at 1:30 tomorrow, then when I get home, make up and contacts which could take a while. LOL! :dunno::eek:

Doug, I am sure Jo will be home today or tomorrow. Sending good vibes to Jo  for a smooth pain free recovery. PT will get her going soon enough. Is she okay giving herself injections? You will have to play nurse this week Doug.

Lainey, Yes, I sure hope that neighbour is home soon to save that pup any further distress. I guess no more peach tea for you.

Mary, I "caved in" and I have my pup booked for the teeth cleaning and surgery next Tuesday. Hope your pup has warmed up to you again by now.:hugs:

What can I say Doris. I want to move right there with You.
What a terrific find, well done.

Waving to All and hope to be back tomorrow, if not Saturday. ;)
