Law of Physical Surfaces - The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich landing face down on a floor, are directly correlated to the newness and cost of the carpet or rug.

Close to Memorial Day already. Have a great week folks.

Monday's Eats UD

Great PT today...the shop was so busy the therapist just let me do my thing while they worked on everyone else, until it was time for the back manipulation...of course, I'm doing basically the same routine I did last year but doc asked me if the exercises are getting easier. Like a fool I said yes and he said, "okay we'll add more on your next visit." Oh well...I'm hurting tonight, but it does feel good.

Had a couple cups of cafe au lait before pt, then asked one of the therapists for a place to get a good lunch and I'm so glad I did. She sent me to a little hole-in-the-wall Mexican place that was busier than hades and the food was excellent. Adding that place to my regulars.

L. carne asada burrito, lemonade

S. roast chicken sandwich on lc toast, lettuce & tomato, Arnold Palmer and a nectarine.

Irish coffee

1300 kcals

Mary, don't worry about what you ate, worry ain't gonna change a thing. Someday, you will look back and wonder at all the fuss, really! Go easy on yourself, you are human, after all, not a machine that programs food into one's body. Glad you got at least one pair of glasses, finally.

It's going to be another cold night, and they say a little chance of snow Friday night, lol, wouldn't be the first Memorial weekend with snow though, but odd feeling, I suppose.

We had some really good asparagus tonight, it was that really thick kind, the kind they tell you not to buy, but it was cheap, so I did, anyway, and it tasted great, even dh liked it. Lucky.

See yah tomorrow.

Yeah, Doris, you're right...life's too short to worry about stuff...trying to keep myself motivated on the JUDDD.

Double M, in the Johnson Alternate Day Dieting, we have Up days (UD), down days (DD), MD days are Middle calories, and UUAD, Up Up and Away Days when the calories go crazy. UD's are our normal caloric days, mine is supposed to be about 1800 kcals, my DD's are 340 kcals for a 20% of my normal caloric intake, but they've found that by staying under 500 kcals, most women lose weight at a steady gait. MD are 50% of our UD's intake....kinda sciencie, but they've (the ubiquitous "they') discovered that eating this way is as beneficial as fasting for long periods of time. In addition to weight loss, alternate day fasting promotes several beneficial hormones and other good stuff. Sorry, short lesson in intermittent fasting. So yesterday was a scheduled DD, but I kept picking until it became heavier caloric day, thus the MD.

Thanks, Mary in SoCal. I never did understand all the JUDD terms stood for. On the plan I do I go from higher cal days to lower cal days by changing the proteins from highr fat ones to lower fat ones, same with yogurt and dressings. So I get to keep the quantity the same but the richness can vary from around 1000 to 1800+. It satisfies me. I am usually around 1300-1400, but eery so often I kick it up a notch.
