What advice would you give your daughter

What advice would you give your daughter if you had one, or two, or three...

I've not been that lucky but have several nieces and, of course, all the soldiers in the Army...one piece of advice I always give is...Never, never, never start wearing elastic-waist pants. They lead you to the road of overeating because they're so comfortable when you overeat...at least if you wear buttoned pants you have a warning.

What advice would you give...just asking????

I sure wouldn't blame elastic pants for overeating, that comes from something deep within a person..................

These days, I'd make sure a daughter had birth control and hopefully some sense about dealing with the male animal. And tell her that celebs are totally useless in our culture.

My advice to my girls when they were growing up "Don't do anything stupid".
When they were teens and thought they were fat, I told them not to try and lose weight but just maintain their weight. They would be happy when they were 40. They didn't listen and wished they had.

Yes, it's not the telling but the listening part that's the "rub" about this kind of thing................

elastic waist pants are totally a matter of body type. for people with large middles compared to hips, butt, and thighs, normal zip up pants NEVER fit. no matter how thin I got, they never fit right. when the waist fit, the rest hung like a sack. so it was either practical elastic waists or getting everything altered at what cost? I think almost every piece of advice might be true for one person and not for others, myself.

My daughter died from a drug allergy when she was 43 years old, but she was a strong and wonderful woman.
Told her to never give in to passion of any kind, but stay true to herself. She did just that and made me proud.
