MONDAY'S Roll Call, May 6
A One and a Two, let's go for another day together, friends! :shake:

:console: to those of us not up to par, for any reason at all.

Shalbrihil 05-05-2013 10:49 PM

Just heading for bed. See everyone tomorrow.

Begete 05-06-2013 12:13 AM

Too hot to garden by time I got home.so just had a lazy afternoon.

Hope to get busy early today.

Loretta V 05-06-2013 07:09 AM

Rain here again. The fields are too wet for the farmers to get in and plant. I have a few tomatoes in and some cukes. Hopefully we will get some sunshine today.

tatehouse 05-06-2013 07:25 AM

Good morning all...going to warm up and have some sunshine today. More rain tonight, though...

Have a wonderful week.

Norfolk Mermaid 05-06-2013 07:25 AM

Good Monday morning Doris and thanks for fun start to the day.
"Of all the things I ever lost- I miss my mind the most". I just spent several minutes looking for tuesdays roll call! Duh!
Yet another gray day but storms tomorrow so I will make the effort to get my plantlets placed and hopefully in the ground. Spring clean up is sooo time consuming but I am making a dent! I do have stuffed leaf bags (6 or 7 with at least that many to go).
Gotta go.
I so miss Verleen and am praying she is doing OK!

LoveMontana 05-06-2013 08:48 AM

Rain front is moving in here tomorrow so those getting too much should see some relief.

Got a quick E mail from Verleen, Lainey. She is doing fine but not moved into the new home yet.

mykneesareback 05-06-2013 08:55 AM

Linda, thanks for the report about Verleen, I noticed she wasn't on f/b anymore.

We are waiting for a roofer person to check the roof on the proposed house, haven't signed much yet because of it...........deal may fall through if it's bad news, we are not going to have a new roof put on...........

Hope you friends are having as good a day as you can manage :hugs:.

Off to go to the bank in the larger town. Raining here, a good, worthwhile rain at least.

Mssarge 05-06-2013 09:11 AM

Good morning all...the air is clear this morning from the rain showers and, of course, the patio is wet...so are the fur kids paws after their morning visit to the backyard. Today is back to physical therapy for me. Looking forward to the water treatment, not sure about the back manipulation, tho' I know I need it.

The moderators struck again, I guess they didn't like my menu post from yesterday...don't know why, no note to me just the notice "your message is being reviewed by the moderators." I did mention a freebie book about low carb I picked up for the Kindle, so that's probably why. I'll go back and re-post my menu...I guess I learned my leasson, if there was one in there.

added...I went back to the menus thread and it's there. I guess the mods let it go thru after all...hmmmmmm.

Gotta run, but I'll type ya later. Hope you all have a great day.

Shalbrihil 05-06-2013 10:24 AM

I'm so glad Verleen is doing well. There is so much to do when changing location and buying homes.

We're getting some showers here today. It's nice and smells so fresh outside now.

A side of Dh ordering a new canopy cover for our Casita not much is happening today. Well be checking back. Enjoy your day.

ocali 05-06-2013 10:32 AM

Just heard from my DD. She and her DH are on a 17 day cruise from Ft. Lauderdale thru the Panama Canal ultimately to San Diego. Several stops on the way, etc. The message she sent is that there is a virus on board and some of the actifvities have been suspended. They are scrubbing down the ship. Right now they are in the canal. It's disturbing news to me.

Norfolk Mermaid 05-06-2013 10:42 AM

Sharon, ermm- what is a Casita? Boat?, RV?, Pool?, Patio?
Need a spanish lesson.
I am so tired after only 2 hours of moderate work- will eat something I guess... I count the coffee mate in my coffee as practically a meal.
bbl after food and a few more hours of gardening. The six Toms. are placed and about that many peppers (I think 3 red and 2 reen) the 2 egplants are sitting with everything else where they will live till fall BUT not yet in the round. The cukes will be a big job as I want them where ivy has completely covered the entire inside front yard fence- whew, that cuttin back job will just about kill me- yet another big job that I had the entire mild winter to do- what in the $%^&& did I do all winter? I ot straight and crooked neck yellow squash but have no idea where to put those. Will talk to my neighbor Curtis as he did them one year and they were fantastic but did seem to just about take over a 1/4 of his back yard.
OH, Linda glad to hear you heard from Verleen.

Lainey the Casita is our 17' trailer made of fiberglass. They make them in Rice, TX and we love to take it on our wilderness campouts once a year. :)

mykneesareback 05-06-2013 11:16 AM

Emmaline78 05-06-2013 03:35 PM

Good day or evening to you all.
Been lovely and sunny and warm here in the east of England.
Managed to get into the garden for a couple of hours yesterday and tidied up my greenhouse and garden... not anything in the greenhouse as am not able these days.

Had a really lovely surprise to find that I have lost 5.2lbs this week!! :jumpjoy: As is often the way..when I was out today treated myself to a Costa Coffee and a raspberry & almond slice.. very yummy.

Hope you all had a good day
P.S. Doris ..love your avatar.. beautuful trees.

Mssarge 05-06-2013 06:35 PM

Finally back home and the tail is dragging....they really worked me out at physical therapy and I really really feel it. My friends were talking about a run to the casino tonight but changed their minds of which I'm very happy. 'Twas funny in that it was cloudy but the streets were dry until I got about two blocks from where I was going and the sky just opened up and rained like it wouldn't stop...so I waited in the car until it did. Now they're saying the low pressure area won't be moving through until tomorrow so more chances of showers.

Tomorrow puppy goes to the vet to be neutered and chipped, so I'm guessing he's going to be part of the pack even tho' chihuahua girl just growls at him and his antics. And back to the groomers later...poor little guy, I feel sorry for him sometime as he really needs a kid to take the p & v out of him. oh well...

Lainey, I'm hoping my squash doesn't take over the patio and also hoping a tomato frame will help me contain it...probably should have planted it under the lemon tree as I was first thinking but when I thought of stooping over under the tree to harvest, I changed my mind.

Sharon, I've always laughed to myself whenever I see a Casita traveling down the highway...they're cute. I laugh because Casita means "little house" but colloquially it's the little house behind the house...you know, the one with a path. I found that out one time when we managed the Las Casitas apartments....

All my monday shows are finished for the season, so will now have to find something else to watch. Got a movie I recorded last night, so tonight's taken care of.

Hope your day was good

mykneesareback 05-06-2013 07:18 PM

Whine whine whine, the roof needs to be replaced, so seller's insurance co. is sending their inspector to see what he thinks..............hopefully they will replace it. We are still signing papers and submitting tomorrow, :dunno: Whatever will be will be..............if this doesn't go through, we are done thinking about moving. I will die standing at the kitchen sink washing dishes or standing at the counter cutting more tons of veggies.
Thank you for letting me vent. :annoyed:

Good Night, and Sweet Dreams!

LoveMontana 05-06-2013 07:26 PM

Oh Doris, so sorry about that roof. Can't say as I blame you for not wanting to look at more to buy.
Why not consider renting a place near there and take your time looking. You may decide you two may like renting better. No maintenance.;)

SuSUN 05-06-2013 08:03 PM

Just getting here. Having busy days lately.

Julie, so sorry to hear about that virus. I am sure they will get that under control swiftly, probably Norwalk or similar.
Hard not to worry though. :hugs::hugs:

Doris, Oh my goodness YOU sure are going through the wringer. Sending hugs :hugs::hugs: and hoping for a break in all this for you.

Waving to Everyone and hope to be back tomorrow...
