EXERCISE April 28 - May 4

It's outrageous, May is coming in quickly!

Debby, I remember running up and down stairs, back in 1989, Deal A Meal phase......... I'd like to be able to do the rebounder again, my heel is still not good.

We have several appts. next week so it will take some work to get all the bike time in, will be thankful when the appts. are done for awhile.

Let's keep on "doing it"............

Managed to sqeeze in 2 hrs. on the bike, have the weights in here, 8 lb. ones this time, so did those, but was on the phone with the kids while they were in some houses, with the real estate lady, they were giving me the pros and cons, so we will offer on both, and see how that rolls out.

Tomorrow is another day in the car for 6 hrs. plus they may want to do an ultra sound on dh too, but they may have to do it another day, who knows?

Off to see if there are any papers for electronic signing for me, to hold the places until we see what's what with them.

Have a good evening, friends!!!

Used the stairs at the doctor's office, and that's about it for today........lousy, I know. I need to dance again, once I get out of this funk. Seeing the doctor on Thursday, I think I need an exray on this ankle, heel area.

Doris, Yuk on that poor heel of yours. They take a long time to heal, all you can do is protect it while its healing. Do you have a heel cushion in your slippers or shoes? Stand on a rubber bath mat in the kitchen and absolutely no clogging okay! Are you taking any anti inflammatory to help with the inflammation? Advil, Motrin or Ibuprofen will work.

Nothing to exciting on the Exercise front for me today.
Short walk with my dog, 10 wall push ups, 10 jumping jacks, 10 crunches
2 sets of each

lol, yes, I have all those so called safety mats, have the heel "thingees" that sort of hurt more, and bought 2 different kind of ankle supporters, plus my husband wraps up the ankle and foot for me, and I wrap it myself, because he can't bend well to wrap it, don't want him to hurt himself because of my issue. I'm supposed to stay off of it, but that can't happen here. It hurts more on that vertical back bone of the ankle, and I wonder if I perhaps injured it when I was rushing around barefoot and stepped "wrong" on the metal part that holds the carpet down between bedroom and bathroom, that is when I first felt a sharp pain, but no time to deal with it, was on the way to head out the door for another long day appt., just lived with it.
Thanks for listening to my WHINE!! And I do take aspirin.

I'm asking for an xray tomorrow, I postponed my eye appt. so there would be time for it, Loretta.

Managed 3 hrs. 15 min. bike time today, worked hard at it.
That's it, was on the phone and computer, have several more houses lined up for the kids to see tonight, so have to be handy with the phone nearby.

Doris, seems you have forgotten to include yourself in all the appointments. It must be difficult to squeeze another one in for an x-ray. It might be a good idea to rule out a fracture.

Walked with DD and her dog Billy for an hour in the woods this morning.
1 hour exercise class this afternoon.
Walked my dog for a short stroll on the bike path by my house.

Walked in a large parking lot after shopping at Trader Joe's. Dh parked where there was shade for the fur kids so I had a bit of a distance to get back there. Good for me as that was about all my heel could handle. Doris I think you and I have the same heel pain. It's in the back of the foot and stretching that area makes it really hurt. I'm doing some back leg stretching, heel to the floor.

Yes, Sharon. Can you do your foot into a tippy toe position, and it works fine, but that bone just above the heel hurts and won't bend right when you go to walk. I keep wondering if I have a slight fracture there, the heel braces I bought don't really fix it, so I've been wrapping it with that stretchy wrap stuff, that helps more than the heel brace. But I need to check it out, it bugs the heck out of me, I'm sure yours does also, can't move quickly anymore..................dang, getting older is the pits!!!
Take care!!!

Any news on the heel Doris? When do you go for the x-ray?

Sorry to hear you have the same problem Sharon.

Yikes, makes me want to wrap my heels in cotton wool.

The doctor felt it again, and says he still thinks I should wait and try to stay off of it more, that it will heal over time. This morning, wouldn't you know, it didn't feel so bad, lol, and I walked in nicely, lol...........does that happen to you, too, that you finally go to the doctor, and your symptons subside while there?? Just needed thyroid med a bit higher, other tests came out good.............I thank the exercise bike for that.

Doris it never fails that the pain disappears once you make up your mind to see the doc.

Walked yesterday and today. I think I will have to curtail my exercise workout for a week or so due to my cataract surgery, no bending. The right eye was done yesterday and it seems to be seeing quite well, amazing in fact. I will get the left eye done on May 16th. Looking forward to getting it all over and together.

Will try to take another walk instead of exercising.

Wow Loretta, that IS amazing, glad you got it done and are doing the other one soon, relief to have it over with.

Did 3 hrs. 10 min. on the bike, despite having to rush to town to get more stuff faxed, lol, my dh hates that!

Doing the weights in the next half hour, while in the kitchen, my usual "spot" to be in.

That is just great going Loretta. I didn't know you were scheduled to have that done. I would love to have it done so I wouldn't need to wear glasses any more. Seems you are breezing through it. WTGG! Keep us posted on your progress.

Yes, Doris doesn't that always seem to be the case. It is just magical, call the dr and the pain subsides. Glad to hear your other tests came out okay. Yes, exercise will do those wonderful tricks.

Today's Ex:-

1 hour Exercise Class this morning with 5lb hand weights
1/2 hour Walk
1/2 hour cleaning my patio door windows inside and out (LOL)

Walked at the park this morning to the lighthouse with GF. Walked the dog upon my return home along the bike path. Going Dancing this evening so should be some kind of movement there.

Susan I will still need glasses for close work and I think I will just continue to wear glasses as in the past. I DO NOT want to keep searching for glasses to read with.

No walk yesterday due to rain.
