I'm a newbie too!!

Hi...I am Kathy. I have decided to take the low carb approach to losing weight. I would like to look at this as a new adventure in my life, and not a diet! My husband has lost 100lbs since last March '12, and I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon. I would like to lose 40-50 lbs over time. I'm not in any hurry, I just want to keep on keeping on! The only carbs we eat are the ones in veggies. No fruit yet. Hubby still doesn't eat fruit. (he is diabetic, but since losing 100+ lbs, he is off insulin)!! I'm so proud of him.
I started 1 week ago and am down 3 lbs. Wish me luck & encouragement! Thanks!!

Welcome Kathy. The changes you will make in your eating habits with low carb will stick with you and you can lose the weight slowly and make a new life style of eating for yourself. Be sure to join in the menu and exercise threads also.
