EXERCISE week, April 14 - April 20

lol, I thought when I misspelled the title last week, it would make some new people want to look and see what kind of fool starts this thread and can't spell and then they might decide to post their exercise, but it didn't work, lol.
Oh well, it's just we "tried and true" gals here

Off we go, I'm going to work hard to keep up my bike time, but I need to clean up and toss some stuff, so that will eat into my usual time, the real estate man wants to show our house already, even though it isn't officially up for sale yet.

Thank you for starting us up for this week Doris. I'm doing as well as can be expected with my ailments. How's your heel and ankle today. Are you still keeping it wrapped?

We'll be getting out for a shopping trip today so will be careful not to forget to take a couple of Advil. Hopefully we'll get a little walk in for the fur guys.

It's so hard parting with memories. I think I would pack them and take them with me. With you entering into new surroundings those things will be a comfort to you. You may have more room to be able to display them more too.

Keep the backside warmed on that bike and I'll be doing the same.

Doris, I didn't even notice the misspelled words. Yes how is your heal? Did the real estate man show the house today?

Nothing today, but will be back on it tomorrow.

My heel is better, I can step my toes again, tippy toe, but the back of the heel, where that bone is, still hurts, dh has been kindly wrapping my foot gently each morning for me with ace bandage, and it seems to help. I am going to get an ankle brace when we head down for dh's blood tests, and see if wearing that helps. Thanks for asking, friends!!!

No, no house showing yet, I have some bigger clean up plans for Tuesday, when dh has to go and be gone for several hours, so it will go faster without him underfoot, and than we will go at it, the house won't be empty, but the guy says one couple in particular are interested, location is the reason. The VA appraisal is supposed to come in on Monday, and than we should know more as to if we get the loan or not.

Did 3 hrs. 15 min. on the bike, but no weights today, phone yakking with son and Mother, my mother was laughing and giggling with me today, like the "old" days, it was nice.

So it must be 5 yrs. for me doing Exercise thread, too, Loretta, we began about the same time, someone named Chris was doing it for awhile, and I think you even did it for a time, and I did the Menu's , lol. We had a ton more people way back then, when low carb was the latest diet craze.

See you all tomorrow!!!

Bummer on that poor foot still hurting, Doris. Our bodies just don't heal as fast now that we are "Older".

Did a slow walk and wander at Wegmans while waiting for a prescription.

I didn't know you were waiting for a prescription because you were newly ill, Linda, oh my, hope it helps you out right away!!! Dag Nab it!

Remember a gal named Vicki, from Virginia, she ran the exercise thread for a very long time, even before I joined here, and I wonder what happened to her? So many have been on here

Let's try to have a good night. I need to settle down myself.

As we age we do not absorb VItamin D at the same rate that we did when we were younger. Lots of folks I know are on Vit D supplements.

Doris have they said what is wrong with you foot, maybe I missed that.

Usual walk this morning. Will workout tomorrow.

Loretta, the doctor says it's tendonitis, and to stay off of it, like that's going to happen. My husband is wrapping it now, every morning, and it feels a bit better, hurts mostly when I'm on it all afternoon, washing dishes, cooking, cutting vegetables up, and all the nonsense that goes with kitchen chores.
Next time we go to a city for his blood tests next week, we will check a sporting goods store and buy some braces for it.

Did 3 hrs. 30 min. on the bike, cold, nasty and sort of snowy day today, we watched several soccer games together because of it. Plenty of bike time.

Nice walk today. Trying out a new pedometer but it was way off my usual read outs. Probably need to readjust something.

1/2 workout.

I love your Pansies, Loretta, one of my favorite flowers! When I get a new pedometer, I need my son to set it for me, will need a new one before Christmas.

Got in 2 hrs. on the bike, but wasn't feeling or enjoying it much. A touch of something has gotten to me..............

Don't like the new Pedometer (10.00) and took it back. I know even though I set it right it is not reading right. Maybe I will just give up using one.

Walk and workout today.

Yep Loretta, you will do your walk, irregardless of pedometer or not!! Just as I do the bike, just habit. Maybe Santa will bring you another, lol.

Speaking of doing the bike, I barely got 1 hr. 25 min. in, spent alot of time at the realtor's office and he had to fax more stuff to the loan company for us, the VA is something else with what they want to know about everyone!!!

Tomorrow will be better. Saturday people are coming to look at the house.

We got our walk in today and went a little further this time. They are putting exercise bars around the section we walk. They look real sturdy and I know the college kids will like them.

Right now I'm just resting as my heel is acting up. It didn't like that I made it work. I don't listen to it's complaining.

Wow, that's a GREAT walk, Loretta!! Nice weather makes you feel more chipper.

Got in 2 hrs. on the bike, and doing Jack LaLanne's chair stuff in the kitchen, since I washed dishes before we left for the house lookers to come in. That's it..........

What a cute house! Bet it sells rather quickly.

Hi, I'm Debby, I have been exercising since September 2011. Got going with one of those step-tracker gismo's... won't name it, but it did great to get me moving! It took me 13 months to lose the 42 lbs. of excess wt. During which time I discovered I had hypothyroidism & adrenal fatigue.

I've been maintaining the weight loss now since Oct/2012. Regulating my meds & getting stronger.

Shockingly, I started jogging a bit on my daily walks, and can feel that I am getting more & more endurance, beating my time every day.

I also have a flex force for strength-training, which I'm still trying to figure out how much I should be using... its a great work-out too.

I saw your thread & thought it would be fun to join you.

Blessings,
Debby
