TUESDAY Roll Call, April 2
Getting us going, for Tuesday.
Me, I'm going to bed now, pooped :high5:

Take care of yourselves, and Linda, hope your doctor lets you move a bit more after tomorrow's visit.

The day from hell:
Monday afternoon, John and I went shopping for a few groceries and things for the kitties (so far they refuse to use the covered litter box). We came home, played with the boys, did some work in the garden and then got ready for aerobics. I could not find my purse. We searched the house, the car...no purse. When I go to the supermarket, I usually leave my purse in the kid's seat (yes I do keep an eye on it). We assumed I had left the purse in the cart and brought only the groceries home. We called the store. No purse had been turned in. Needless to say, we spent several hours cancelling credit cards, getting me a duplicate drivers' license, having the locksmith change all the locks on the house (with my keys and drivers license in the purse......the "thief" had our address). Then we set off to purchase a new cell phone. I had nearly 1000 accumulated minutes in my old cell phone and in order to prevent the "thief" from using them all, I had to buy a new phone to which to transfer my account.+ I also took the time to e-mail anyone whose phone number might have been in my cell phone to warn themabout any potential scams. As we were pulling into the garage, I noticed the storeroom which is off the garage and houses our extra refrigerator and freezer in addition to all our extra "stuff." I said to John, "When you searched the cars and the lower level, you DID look into the storeroom for my purse (I put the groceries away), didn't you? He sheepishly said, "no." Low and behold: the Purse, all money, keys, phone and now useless credit cards intact......and two very tired, feeling very stupid people.

I remember the feeling well...last year I did leave my purse in the cart after a run to the market and went back to the store immediately. Of course, the purse wasn't there...reported it to the store, called the police, and the bank to cancel the cards. Then got a call a couple of hours later, the purse had been found on the street several block away with only the money gone...fortunately, only a few bucks. The guy that found it thought it possible the thieves saw my military I.D. and took pity on me. At least you now know it had not been stolen even tho' you went through the motions of correcting the possibility....my heart goes out to you...

Lost post just now.
anyhew- Thank G*D Begete. Car breakin down in traffic and lost purse even just thinking of it happenin chills my very soul.
P.T. is wonderful- riht leg went up and then down into my pant leg without my even noticing...first time without wencing and face contortions in 3-4 months.
Beete I love a little kitty- I want one just like Mac Creamy!
Need to serve up the steamed shrimp for the girls- I add a little water because Aaunt Jane loves to drink that. Ms. Flamingo goes for the shrimp but wants it cut into bite size peices.
Gettin the day a rollin

Oh, it has happened to me/us, too. My late DH had gone to the gym. When he got home he couldn't find his wallet. We did the search. He went back to the gym and retraced all his steps. We did the calling. Later ( a lot later) I took all his shoes out of the closet to vacuum and there it was in the back of the closet. We think he must have left it in his jeans pocket and when he was rehanging the jeans it fell out of the pocket. Must have been some workout!!

My cold is almost gone. I slept for a solid 9.5 hours last night. A deep restorative sleep. Breathing helps! Maybe I will have some energy now.

Maggie is back at school today. I will do some research on wall ovens.

Have a great week all.

Good morning everyone,

Just killing time before the doctor appointment. Might even get in a brief nap.

It's awful to misplace or lose a purse/wallet with all the important and very necessary things in it.

Hope you all have a very good day.

Good morning all...today's casino day for me...Tuesday they double-load the freebie bucks for slot play and in the poker room they add $50 to the pot every hour, so that's why I go on Tuesday. I'm going to restrict myself to the one day a week, tho', as I can't trust myself to give 'em just a few bucks. I've had some really good wins, but most of the time I'm paying reparations.

Last evening I though puppy had found a hole in the fence as I couldn't find him for about half an hour. I was wondering why my escape-artist girls hadn't gone with him...until I found him locked in my garage. I had gone in earlier and apparently hadn't brought him out...such is puppyhood.

Hope you all have a good day today, the sun is shining and the weather is balmy in your neck of the woods..

Oh how awful. What a stressful situation Babette.

Mary, I too had that happen to me with my last Doxie Oliver. He would follow me everywhere. Then, I would miss him and search frantically only to find he was locked in a bedroom, the mud room or garage.

Feeling emotional this last few days. DH's 2 yr anniversary is coming up mid April. I guess that could be the culprit. I am trying to be strong and not to dwell too much.

Waving to all and hope to bbl...

I know people are all different. I've been wondering what's wrong with me. I can imagining mourning more than a couple weeks for someone. I did mourn for years for my little parrot, Nigel. :dunno: Rich is even worse than I am. After a couple days, he moves on. I've always felt that people who mourn for longer periods, sometimes years, are seriously mentally ill. I'm the one who is probably mentally ill.

Rich is up at the house waiting for his 9 tons of cement. Our contractor has decided that he doesn't want to do the electrical. So I have a call into our electrical contractor. I'm been working on taxes today. :p Almost done. After taxes, I need to be treated to a swell gormet meal. Does anyone hate doing taxes like I do?

How are you doing Louise? I've been thinking about calling you but figured your number must have changed. I wanted to tell you what a mixed bag the new frozen meals are. Some are good and some are terrible.

The weather is a mixed bag here too. A blizzard one minute and the sun is shining the next. Have the best day you can.

I'm so glad all turned out ok with your purse Begete. By the looks of things we've all had that same experience one time or the other. It's a very scary thing to have happen to you.

Verleen enjoy your gormet meal as you deserve it. We try to get our taxes done and out of the way early. That is one thing I hate to have to do. Thank goodness for AARP free prep. We keep it simple and don't have a lot to claim.

We just got back from visiting with BIL and wife. We are getting a sky light in our hall and wanted to see how there's turned out before calling the guy for ours. I know I'm going to love it.

Good to see the colds are disappearing and we all are keeping busy. :hugs: to the ones who need them.
