Good morning, Gladys...and those to magically appear here!
Sunny, cool, but 'they' say it's the end of the cool weather here. And, spring is springing.
Nothing much new here. Feeling better, hope to go to fish fry later on in the day.
I'm making a honey-do list for South Carolinian son for when he and his DW will be here at end of the month. No matter who visits, there is always a list.

Good Morning. Thanks for start out Gladys.

Slept in and woke the second time with a horried headache. Sniffing the steam from my coffee and that as helped some so it is sinuses.
Didn't someone report on Ginny? If not where can she be? Also worring for Louise but do not expect to here from her right away.
Today will be "goat day" with Anita and her GG son Shane Ryan. Sure hopin I feel better by 2:30 because kids need to see adults coming through for them.
The lady that washes my hair weekly for just 5.00 (I give her a 20.00 each mo.) has pre cancer lesions in her scalp so I am praying for her. I do not know why they do not call cancer a Plage.
Need to get the rest of my meds down.

Thanks Gladys for our Opening for today.
I am happy to report that I was sound asleep at that time.

Julie, You are so lucky to have a handy son visiting. The house maintenance is one thing why I am considering moving in with DD. They are ready to move into the City and are seriously looking for a home large enough for all of us. I would have to sell mine too.
Glad to hear You are feeling better and ready for the Fish fry tonight.

Oh Anne, I bet that feels good that you have a full day all to yourself. I love those days too. Enjoy!

Lainey, I thought you were going to see the goats a few days ago. I must have misunderstood. Enjoy your time with nature. So sorry to hear about your lady hair washer. Yes a Plague indeed.

Hope to check back later. I do have a little show to attend with two GFs tonight starts at 5:30 Irish girl dancers and then Cape Breton fiddlers and such. Snow is falling again right now, so the show will be a distraction...Roll on Spring.

Good morning all...nice and sunny today with a clear slate of "to-do's" In other word, nuttin' to do and nuttin' planned. That just means I'll find some trouble to get into.

Some may remember that I had a manicure back in January....now don't get me wrong, I love a good mani or pedi. It's so relaxing to have someone "do" your nails, just like having someone "do" your hair and a great lift if you're emotionally handicapped. BUT, this one was the pits....I really didn't pay attention (just goes to show you must pay attention whenever you're paying for a service) and he used a large grit emory board on the nails and the polish was like cement...I don't know what it contained but I couldn't remove it with my remover so had to let it "grow out." My nails have become so brittle and thin and are breaking and splitting....they're practically non-existent....darn! And I don't know if I can blame them or not as I've reduced my milk intake with the woe so that, too, could be the problem. So i've a mission to restore my nails to their pre-mani condition....thanks for letting me let off some steam.

Guess it's time to feed the tail-waggers so will stop the whine and have some cheese with it, too. Have a great day folks and Susan I'm sorry Spring is not springing in your area, but t'wall be there soon...find a little time to do something special for yourself today. Hugs for all.

Well, I didn't get my day off.

I haven't heard from Ginny or seen her around a while.

Continue to hope Verleen is ok and Louise came through with flying colors.

Just getting here as we had to get some shopping done this morning. When we got home it was lunch time so I tried making chicken fried rice using cauliflower as the rice. It was a big hit and so easy. After lunch I as able to catch up on some programs that I recorded and now here I am catching up with you all.

DH planted some seeds when we got back but thinks it's still too early for the tomato plants. He wants to make sure the weather holds before we get them.

I've had 2 good eating days and still feel good so will keep going on low carb. I'm giving myself a full week as a test drive. If the scale is still nice to me I'll keep going. LOL

Take care everyone.

Hey, Sharon, glad the induction is going well....just a quick question. Do you par-cook the cauli-rice before making it into fried rice. I've been meaning to try it and it sounds like a good idea for my supper tonight. (no problem if you don't catch this before I try it...just wondering) DUH!!! after writing this, checked the Recipe Room and got the recipe...slap on head!!!

My day was a quick shopping trip with N to pick up some pedals for the bike I found for her yesterday at Goodwill's...great buy a nice single speed, wider tired, bike for under $20...had a time getting it into my car, tho'. When I bought it, I thought my seats came down to access my trunk...not so, so I had to squeeze a full sized bike into my back seat. Did it!!!

Picked up another new bathing suit, tho', price had come down quite a lot so I was happy...lunch at the sub place and back to the house....stayed out of most trouble for the day which was more than I expected...without a plan, I get in trouble.

Hope your day was really good...mine is comfortable, love these temps in the 80's...now they're saying rain in the seven day forecast...

Hi, just saying a quick "hello".
Wondered how Louise was doing, or if Verleen said something.

You guys are so darned busy, goodness me!

The internet is not doing well in this place, Route 66 Casino hotel, mostly people our age here, except for some young ones that need to drink or it ain't Friday. Will head off to Amarillo early Saturday, and then on to the kid's and so forth. The internet should work better there.

Mary, we do the highway 58 from Bakersfield and so on.

Begete, I sure hope you feel better soon, this illness has really laid you low.

Waving at the rest of you nice people, my brain is tired and can't remember everything you said earlier.
Thanks to Gladys for starting out.

The Grand Canyon pooped us out, but many around us were also tuckered, lol.

Thought I posted earlier, but don't see it
Been on the fly again so I may have hit something wrong.

Thanks for the start off Gladys. Hope you did eventually get a nap in. Nothing like one to give you a second wind.

Julie, hope your honey do list will get done when your son visits. Nice to have help with things around the house.
Good grief, time for an eye glasses change. When I read your post it looked like you said you were going "fly fishing" later.

Sorry you didn't get that day off , Anne.

Oh Lainey, so sorry about the sinus headaches. My allergist recommended OTC Loratadine which works great . You can get it at Sam's club. Pick up some at the Dollar store for a buck and give them a try so you don't waste money on the regular size at Sams.

Susan, hope you enjoyed the Irish Dancers and the fiddlers.

Gee Mary, hope you can get your nails back in shape. That can't be fun.
Don't you just LOVE those Good Will stores?

Babette, hope your doctor's appointment went well.

Sharon, keep on keeping on with your low carb plan. We are into our 16th year.

Sure hope Doris is enjoying her trip and that the other MIA's will check in soon.
Healing thoughts to Louise and her DH.

I just now saw this. No you process it in your food processor and add it raw. The steam cooks it. I started with a little coconut oil and then added the shallot or onion, cauli-rice, soy sauce and some parsley. Let it cook on low-med. and then take a raw egg and lightly beat it. Add it to the mix. Stir until egg is solid. Today I used some leftover chicken breast instead of egg. It was good that way too. Hope you tried it or do soon.

Hello friends. We just got back from our celebration dinner out at Olive Garden. As of Friday, Cathy now owns the house and we all have keys. We met the stair lift rep this morning at the house. They are installing 2/3rds of the lift system on Monday the 25th. The remaining third gets installed after the movers move our stuff into the new house. The chimney and fireplace guys come this Monday to check the gas fireplace and chimney out and clean the whole system. Cathy and I have to go shopping for a stainless steel microwave, a baseboard mounted electric heater and a threshold bench. Our contractor started his work today too. That's the update.

I've been feeling better these past few days. Thank you so much for all your concerns.

Louise, I hope you and Bob are doing okay. Thoughts are still going your way.

Babette, goodness, it sounds like you really caught a nasty one. I'm hoping to hear better news soon.
