WEDNESDAY'S Roll Call, March 13
Let's have a great "Mid Week" day, friends.
Hugs to those of our group who are in pain, or healing, or just a bit "down in the dumps" :console:
Spending the night in lovely Bakersfield, window open because it's nice and warm in the high 40's, we could walk with no jacket on this evening. :)
Hope to see you in the evening tomorrow.
Have a safe , fun and fruitful trip, Doris and thanks for the start off.
It's off to bed for me.
Have a safe, fun trip from me, too. Enjoy Bakersfield. Are you using I-40 or 10 for the trip to Texas? Unless you use highway 58 out of Bakersfield to Barstow, you'll be going right by my place...you're making my feet itchy again...I need to hit the road, fershure! Enjoy the trip
Good "Wednesday" to all, Thankyee Doris.
Yesterdays wash did not make it to the dryer so I am puttin it throuh the rinse cycle- used two deterent pods so wanted to rinse anyhow. Hate mornings but the sun is out for a change.
Lunch today for Anita as part of her birthday present. arbage to the curb. The additional meds for wetting are working- how dry I am....
Prayers for speedy recovery for Louise.
Need to move my bones.
Good morning all
Going for a haircut today...yay!
Tickled me that you can go without a jacket at upper 40's and 50's when that is when I reach for a heavy jacket around here! Just what you get used to, I guess, Doris.
So is the move to Texas back on? I must have missed something? I thought you didn't like the heat? Hope you have a good trip.
Tell Anita Happy Birthday from me, too, Lainey.
I'll be back later, I hope.
UP date to todays doings.
Need a pain pill for my hip so don't want to drive- Anita was fine with that. Her GGS ( great grand son) she baby sits 3 times per week is so much fun that I will go over at 2:30 and take them to a friend that keeps goats- we all love that and have not been in a long time. Will pick up a item that I spotted, don't need, but I wont it at the flea market. Thanks Anne she will like that.
NOW to get those darn clothes in the dryer and load the darks to wash when the dryer finishes- do not run both at once as the set up is over and under and the vibrations are nuts.
Need to et that PT set up as well and fill out the DMV handidcap decal to send off- it begins in April so no rush but I want it out of the way. Bussier that a cat covering up and when the PT starts and gardening will hit very soon time will be "like being in a shrinking cage with a tiger".
Can't get Louise off my mind- Bless her dear LORD.
Good morning from sunny SoCal, nuttin' much going on again today. The spa guy will be out to fix the heater. Will probably "chemical" it up and may even crawl into it tonight and see if it helps the arthur itis...looking forward to the bubbles.
Gotta call the cousin to arrange the delivery of the stuff to his place. Will be good to get the garage cleared up again, so I can fill it again. I'm serious about clearing out the clutter this year..it's time. My new mantra for the Spring.....I choose change!
Hope all y'all have a great day...and good things come your way.
Is Doris moving to Texas or simply visiting?
Wishing the best for Louise.
I love temps in the 40's and 50's, too. That's why we moved here.
Feeling a little better this morning....hope it lasts....
Have a good one.
Visiting....and I don't know if this trip will include the visit to the D.C. area she was talking about earlier..I know she is looking forward to seeing the grandkids.
Sure hope it lasts for you , too. Are you waiting til you're feeling better to start the induction?
Time to get the rear in gear...got the crossword puzzle done, so the morning stuff is done.
I've been sitting way too long playing with my laptop. Before I go I just wanted to check in with you all. Safe travels and enjoy those stops along your way to Texas, Doris. This is the perfect time of year to take that trip weather wise.
Oh Mary hot tubes are wonderful. We had one for a while and those bubbles sure felt good.
Best wishes Louise on a fast recovery. :aprayer:
Lainey, we're starting our garden soon here in Ca. Dh is finishing up the planter frames then it will be shopping time for tomatoes squash varieties and some other veggies I'll be trying. Not sure just what yet as I'll need to see before I decide.
Ginny, are you ok? We miss you...
Linda, when will you be taking your next trip? I love your motor home. We have a little white egg that we take to the mountains once a year. Snow has to melt before we go as we camp at 8,000 ft elevation on the back side of Yosemite. Soon it will be time. Dh and gang love the trout fishing. I just love the peace and beauty.
Julie, how are you doing. Hope your feeling better.
Gladys, is it still raining?
Begete, hows induction going? I'm kick starting once again and today is day 1. The scale was not my friend this morning.
Susan, tell us about your dance class. Sounds like so much fun!
Time to check on Dh's frames. He say's he's all done. I have to go look. :)
It's a nice sun shiny day, short wearing weather but then I wear them 97% of the year.
I didn't think you could open windows in motel rooms,40 is cool for us.
Thinking of Louise/Bob today, hope it was better than they thought.
Hoping the new Pope would clean house, but probably same old, same old.
I am waiting til DH and I have recovered. I haven't gotten dressed yet in over a week, so cannot shop for things we need for induction, let alonehave the energy to cook them.
My little lap top that I usually use most of the day has been hacked. (I'm now on the PC), so I may not be checking in as often.
I was searching for some info on it yesterday, and I must've gone to a web site that was hacked and mine is now locked with this miserable screen. I've tried everything so will wait til youngest DS comes and perhaps he'll be able to rescue it. Actually, I was starting to have other problems on it before so maybe it's the final farewell for it.
Hello to all. Also, hoping Louise is okay.
Good day here...we reached 87 degrees and it felt much warmer as it's been so long since we had those temps...got the patio cleaned off a bit as well as getting the hot tub fixed...now hoping it'll get warm enough for a dip later, but I doubt it. This is one of the 110 ones, not the 220 that you hear just before using. The Hot Springs spa is constantly heating, keeping it warm for whenever you want to relax....I've loved this one for 15 years but still rather leery of slipping and falling. Guess I'll trust to TPTB.
In addition to the outside work, got the house cleaned, the sheets changed and washed and a lot of little jobs done, too. Then for supper went to the favorite catfish place and pigged out...even thanked for the owners for keeping the place open and quality so good for so long. I love 'em. always feel so strangely tho' 'cause I'm the only caucasian in the place...I do get some strange looks, too.
Oh well, hope your day was as good as mine and great things came your way...keeping those under the weather close to the heart and sending good vibes.
Sending :aprayer::aprayer: and :hugs::hugs::heart::heart: to Our Louise as she comes out of recovery today.
Thank You Doris for our opening act. Love those Owls.
I'm with You Doris 40's are warm, after the deep freeze we have been having over the Winter months. That is tee shirt weather to Canadians. LOL!;)
Mary if you get itchy feet to travel you are very welcome to come up here.:) What will you do with the tail waggers? Glad that spa guy brought you luck for the casino last night. I too have to get on that de cluttering.
Sharon, Thank you for asking about the dance class. I was learning to Jive properly last night. I asked what is the difference between Jive and Swing and each teacher had a different interpretation. Their expertise is Ballroom. I only want to learn to Waltz and Jive. I do not want to learn any Latin dances. They are encouraging everyone to take Latin dance next, seems too complex for me.:stars:;)
Verleen, waving and shouting Hello :hiya::lol: Hope the house is progressing smoothly and that your pc is cooperating.
Julie, Oh my goodness I wonder which website. I guess one never knows with these things. How is your tummy today?:hugs:
Babette, glad to hear you are on the mend I am sure J will soon follow.
Lucky you getting the gardening season early. I visited a GF today for lunch and she has a hibiscus growing inside of course. I didn't know they would thrive up here. Thank you for all your gardening advice last year.
Lainey, I hope you enjoyed your afternoon with the goats. What was the item that you picked up? Now did you manage to get those clothes in the dryer? WE all have days like those.;)
Michele, You must be busy working we don't hear too much from you these days.
Anne, enjoy your warm weather I hear ya on the summer bugs.
Linda, hope you are warming up a tad where you are. It is just great when those snow banks shrink huh?:jumpjoy:
:hiya:Waving to All and hope I didn't foget anyone. TTYL...:D
Susan, Thanks for asking after me - Yes, I've been pretty busy lately, but try to keep up with everyone's comings and goings as best I can.
Hope we hear from Louise and that all went well for her.
Glad to hear Babette and husband are on the mend, and that Lainey made it to the doctor.
Waving to everyone else,
Robins showed up today so it won't be long before the weather improves. I hope.
Lainey, do you ever throw a cup of inexpensive white vinegar in your rinse water? That cuts the excess soap and also kills off mold and other nasties.
Happy to hear the meds are working.
Hope your haircut came out great, Anne.
Mary, good luck with the garage clean out. It will be nice to have your space back.
LOL Sharon, camping and fishing at 8 thousand feet must be great, but I can't breathe well at that altitude.
Not sure when our first trip will be. We are in the process of planning.;)
Gladys, it would be nice if the new Pope cleaned things up. Time will tell.:dunno:
Oh Boy Babette, that bug really knocked you for a loop. Hope you feel better real soon.
Bummer on the laptop issues. Did you try a cold boot? Try it.
You must have picked up some malware. Do you run a free program to remove them? Janie, an old member here, recommended the free version of this Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - CNET Download.com
Hi ya Susan, it sure is nice to see those snow banks melt. Have you seen any Robins yet?
Thinking about Louise and hope the surgery went well.
Hi Michelle, sorry you are so busy. When you finally do retire, you will wonder how the heck you found time to work.:D
