SUNDAY Roll Call, March 10
Wow, another month buzzing by...............hope we remembered to set our clocks ahead, but most of us don't hold jobs that require our presence early in the AM

Wishing Louise, Verleen, Bob and anyone else not feeling good to improve, how are you, Lainey?

Shalbrihil 03-09-2013 10:22 PM

See everyone in the morning. Time for bed.

SuSUN 03-10-2013 06:17 AM

Good Morning All,

Let's hope Spring is on its way. :jumpjoy:
I woke up early around 6:30 but I am glad it was 7:30 with the time change. I hope to check back later to catch up on what you are all up to today?

LoveMontana 03-10-2013 07:09 AM

Good morning everybody. UGH it's awful when you wake up and can only think about when you can take a nap.:annoyed:

Off to visit the gang in the Hometown.

Norfolk Mermaid 03-10-2013 07:32 AM

Good morning. Thanks for start out Doris.
Doris, I am grateful for your concern. The pain is now at what I call the squirmy stage where the leg is in constant motion hopin for a spot that might not hurt as much- no luck of course. I will see my internist tomorrow morning. The 1/2 percosets at least ive me some rest from the worst of the pain. I sure did not like seeing that Bextra was again off the market as Dad was on that and it did help him it also cured my horrid plantar faciatis in both feet. Gads I feel like cryin with this pain.
Hating the time change but only because it is a change. Does not affect me one whit!

Good morning all,

We had a good downpour last night and today is supposed to be a beautiful day. If it dries up enough, I may take the dog to the park.

In the meantime, I'm heading to the gym, then drop off some books at half-price books, return a pair of jeans, make some LC muffins, and do some more house cleaning stuff.

Waving to everyone and sending hugs to those who need them,

Crazy Cat 03-10-2013 10:56 AM

Thanks for the start-off Doris!
The time change wouldn't have bothered me if I hadn't have stayed up until 2am (which was actually 3am).:stars:
Lainey-Maybe ask your doctor about Cymbalta? It's an antidepressant that's also supposed to work on different kinds of pain. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it when I go in for my physical in April Of course, it has side effects & interactions like all meds so I'll have to see what he says.
Begete-Hope you all feel better soon. Those stomach bugs are nasty.

My soon-to-be new home. The accepted my final counter offer, so as long as it passes inspection we should close within 30 days. Very excited!

Good morning all...sunny and temps going into the 80's today....Yay!

Jan, congrats...the house looks like a dream. Best wishes with the new abode, may it bring you much happiness.

Lainey, sending more good vibes your way and a few :hugs: too...we can never get enough :hugs:

NASCAR and more boxing up today for me, and a true down day on the woe...I was slack yesterday so had two UD's in a row...grrrr!

Hugs :hugs: to all and hoping everyone is feeling just a bit better today...and a wee bit o' happiness somewhere along the way.

My dad has that now. He's on an antibiotic, which isn't helping, so it's probably a virus. He's 85 and prone to pneumonia, so I'm a little worried. I might have to take him back to the doctor tomorrow.

mykneesareback 03-10-2013 01:11 PM

Jan, what a lovely home, and green grass, a yard to spread out in, if you've a mind to!! Hope it all goes through smoothly so you can move in soon!

Begete, hoping you and John can rest up and get rid of the cold and cough, and get outside to work on your garden again.

Michele, glad you had a good rainfall for a change. Hope your chores get done quickly today.

Mary, enjoy your day, don't worry so much about the eating, Lordy gal! How are your doggies doing now?

Lainey, I hope your doctor can help you tomorrow, so you can move around more again.

Linda, have a safe trip and some family laughs today.

Sharon, your weather must be great today, so you can take the dogs out for a good walk.

Susan, when does your son have to move to New York? Can you go along to "help"? ;)

It was 24 degrees, sun is out but it's not "really" out, so now warming things up, woodstove is still working. I'm gathering up all of dh's meds and stuff so they are in one place and we both know where they are, taking these road trips seem to take alot more planning than when we were young and just needed a few toiletries and clothes and off you go!

Take care.

Sitting out on my screened porch with my laptop and android pad and a book. The temp is just perfect..no jacket, no sweater, short sleeves. Right now it feels heavenly. Pretty soon, I'll be complaining about it being too hot..lol.
Tomorrow, the usual week-day activities start again. Going out to Italian restaurant tomorrow night. And on Friday night, going to a fish fry here.
Did a bit of clothes shopping yesterday and got some nice tops but, of course, have to return one. I'm also making up a bag of clothes for donation. Have to clear out the old to make room for the new.
So long for now.....

Norfolk Mermaid 03-10-2013 05:35 PM

Good early evenin
Feel just awful. Tried for a hot bath but couldn't et my leg over the tub top. Drained it. Use my hands to lift my leg into the Cherokee but did not trust doing that in the bath room- way too many very hard surfaces- I lean way into the drivers seat with my head and shoulders and that works pretty well cause if I fall it would be into the Jeep seat. Swore off antidepressents years ago but am going to ask for PT treatments for sure.
Goin to watch last weeks "You're Fired" plus the new one that follows in hopes it will take my mind off hip and leg for a couple of hours. Used to never, ever miss 60 Minutes but the commercials and that woman that sits with her A$$ hanging out makes me crazier that I already am.
JAN, a beautimous "Manor House"- HEY, that will make you Mistress of the Manor! hmmm six months with you and six months with Verleen... don't I wish.
bbt sweet dreams to all.

Checking in before you all send the MIA squad after me. I had a busy weekend since all of my children and DGKs were here to celebrate the March Birthdays. we had a grand time with no real cooking involved. They all got to meet John.

Hope all are on the mend and prayers going out your way.

Lovely home Jan. I know you are anxious to get settled.

Hugs Lainey, hope you get to feeling tons better real soon.

Warm and windy here in Ky today. Rain now this evening.

LoveMontana 03-10-2013 06:41 PM

Well, there you are Loretta. We were getting worried. It sounds like a delightful time and :jumpjoy: the family got to meet John. Bet they liked him too.

OUCH Lainey. so sorry you are hurting so much.

Great looking house Jan. Hope the inspection goes well and quickly so you can close and move.

Shalbrihil 03-10-2013 08:33 PM

Evening everyone. Today was spent shopping and enjoying the nice 70 degree weather. I think I've talked Dh into making me up a couple of raised bed frames for our backyard. Our grass looks terrible mostly weeds so want to brighten up that area with flowers and more veggies. ;) Our timing is just right soon will be planting time.

Jan your house is lovely. I love the yard and brick.

Lainey I feel your pain as I have a problem with arthur itis in my knee and a problem in my heel. Every time I want to walk I have to deal with pain. It's no fun. :hugs:

I have some reading waiting for me. I started a great book by Dan Brown called The Lost Symbol and Robert Langdon has got his hands full once again, ha. Take care and rest well. Till tomorrow.

All times are GMT -7. The time now is 12:27 AM.
