Good morning all,

Have a nice day planned - brunch with friends and then we're all headed to the kite festival.

Enjoy your day,

Good morning all...a kite festival sounds like so much fun, Michele. Enjoy your time with friends.

DD and I went to lunch yesterday and then had scones at the British Pantry. Maggie loves the tea. Well, I think she loves putting the sugar cubes in the tea but she had a really good time.

We bought another new lawn mower. It has all sorts of bells and whistles and cost the earth so DGS better take good care of it!!

Hope to have a nice relaxing day today. Finishing my book and watching a movie or two. We will see how that works out.

Good morning! Another nice day here. It's a Costco run for a new phone. That will be fun. I know we'll come home with much more than just that. We have a redeeming ticket to use and I plan on using as much of that as I can.

Anne so glad you got a nice lawn mower. DGS will have fun using it on your lawn. I'm reading a ghost story right now that is a fun read. I'm really enjoying the cover I bought with a night light on it. I've been reading a few chapters now when I go to bed. It really helps me sleep better.

Cold and snowy here. So tired of winter!
Went house-hunting yesterday. The neighborhood we're in has gone downhill in the last few years, and I'm tired of worrying about it. Saw one house that may be a good fit. Another one was in a really nice area but would need way too much work to make it livable. And I'm amazed at all the pink bathrooms in older houses. Even pink tubs & toilets!:hyst:
Nothing planned today except going over to my dad's to put out his pills for the week.

Anne-that must be scary knowing someone was in your garage while you were asleep!
Louise-Sorry you have to have the traditional surgery. But even that's improved quite a bit. I remember when my mom had hers in '68, they didn't even let her wake up for almost 3 days!

Good Morning, Everyone.

Jan, we are going house hunting in Texas in a few weeks, too. But, they sell pink bathroom stuff right now, the magazines show them, a "new trend"... Good luck!

I like that, Sharon, reading a Ghost book in the dark with just a light on, lol. :)

Michele, enjoy the Kites, I've been to one of those years and years ago, when there weren't many choices. Eat something good while you are gone.

Anne, does your new mower start with a key?

Waving at Lainey.

Linda, did you replace the 3 yr. old tv yet?

Let's have a good day, we have some rain, and it's sort of warm here, in the high 40's now.

Mssarge 03-03-2013 09:15 AM

Good morning all, sunny but starting to cool off anticipating the possibility of rain later this week...sure would be nice to get some. NASCAR season is back. I missed the kickoff at Daytona last week as I went to the B'day party at the winery, but am curling up with the race at Phoenix this week in a few hours. So glad to have something to do on the weekends. Love the idea of the kite fest as I had a friend years ago who retired from the Air Force to sell kites.

Linda, love the plate-size comparison...how true. I went to my salad plates as the dinner plate a loooooong time ago. Didn't help us lose weight, but it made me feel better.

Sinuses aren't kicking up as bad today, but still staying close to the Kleenex box. Have a great day, folks, and may something good come your way.

Oh Michelle, what fun those kite festivals are. We were at one in the outer banks several years ago.

Mary, hope you are enjoying the race. They are exciting. Too bad you had to miss Daytona, but the BD party had to have been great fun.
The size of the food portions is what is surprising. No wonder people are so large.:stars:

Jan, have you looked into age 55 plus retirement communities? We sold our home and moved into a nice community about an hour from the old place. Everything is NEW.

Doris, Your little Silas is just the cutest little guy. I bet he is a handful now that he is two.

No TV shopping yet. We do have 5 of them, so there is no real hurry.

Anne, hope the new lawn mower works well and stays safe from harm at your DD's home.

Sharon, good luck phone hunting. That is worse than trying to pick out paint colors., and about as much fun as a root canal.

:hiya: Lainey. Hope you had a great day.

Just spoke with the travelers. They are almost home. Another 15 miles on the interstate should do it.

Linda Costco came through for us. Now I have to figure it out. Joy!

Thank You Linda for our kick off for today. Good pic to start our week.
That Fish in your Avi must be the size for an American Restaurant huh?;)

Doris, that Grandson of yours is growing up so fast. What a wonderful head of hair.

Just getting here as I worked today and feeling a tad tired now. Off to watch some TV before bed.

Waving to All and hope to be back tomorrow...:hugs::heart: to all needing them.

Well, I'm only 53, not sure how stringent they are with the age requirements. And honestly, I don't like new. I much prefer older homes with character, but updated (which includes getting rid of the pink bathrooms, lol). All the homes I rehabbed were 75-85 years old. I like solid houses with natural woodwork, with a decent sized yard with mature trees. I'm hoping to find something that backs up to a park, preserve or wooded area, I love to watch the critters and birds.
