Thoughts on aging:
~You miss the days when everything worked with just an "ON" and "OFF" Switch.. That is for sure. Here it seems like we have several different remotes to operate one TV. That is because of satellite dishes or cable networks, one for them and one for the tv itself. |

Sunday's foods UD
Great day! Walked over two miles. Our brunch was outdoors so t'was a bit chill but jacket made it great and I got a lot of compliments on my hat. Happy Birthday Bobby!
Coffee with milk before we left for the winery Brunch: I started with eggs Benedict. instead of hollandaise tho' they had creamed spinach on 'em...delish! Then, a calamri salad, a fennel/mandarin orange salad, a bit of melon, a an ounce or so of roast turkey breast. Yes, dessert with coffee, a cannoli, a brownie square, a fruit tart, and a teeny chocolate something...each one of these, except the cannoli was bite-size so it wasn't as bad as it sounds. And mimosas with everything....orange juice and champagne...well, sparkling wine as it certainly wasn't French. And one glass of their sangria sparkling wine. I didn't think I'd be able to eat anything else, but here I am eight hours later have a quesadella, at least it's a low carb tortilla, havarti cheese with lof ham and a glass of tea. Hit my calorie goal of 1800 kcals, but way too many carbs...but it was worth it.

Wednesday's Food DD
Sigh! I think I should be marking weight at the mid-month point as that seems to be my lightest weight. This month I was down five pounds. Reviewed my menus and can't see where the difference lies...no major differences but weight is up and down...mostly up. Sigh! If the scales are down one pound tomorrow I'll be surprised...four months with no weight loss. There is some change in the way the pants fit, tho' and as they say on the JUDDD forum, "the pants don't lie."
coffee/black and one with hood's, hb egg about nine a.m. before I took puppy to the groomers...my goodness, what a difference as he's no longer a fur ball. Groomer said he was a pain, but this was first time. some raw veggies, celery with a bit of cottage cheese, radish, turnip, and cauliflower Italian meatball HC soup with a bit of added chicken sausage...cleaning out the fridge. 385 kcals |
