Good evening Angels, blessings on all of us and our families.

I have had a busy weekend. Yesterday, Madison was in a progrm at the local college. I had ordered the tickets on the net and Amys mil, Barbara R, said if I wanted to sit in the wheel chair, she would push me and we could get pretty good seats with no steps. She has a problem with them too. So she picked me up at Amys and we got there and she got the wheeel chair out, but forgot the part for your feet to go on, so had to hold me legs up. Then we made our way to the will call, and they could not find my reservation. I am sure I made it, we sat in the seats I had reserved, after they gave us tickets to get in. I am sure when I go to check Chase, I will see the charge for them. They told me to call in the morning, because I was charged twice. So we will see. It was a good show and they did very good. We had already been to a sale for childrens clothes, not finding clothes, but they got other things. Then we came home, and after they left, I was going to the store to get something for dinner. Then I remembered I still had some fish, so turned around and came back and fixed fish, and slaw and french fries and corn bread. With real tea. So good. Today, I had to pick up Bev at 10:00 am. It is her birthday. And we had planed to go out and eat at sweet tomatoes. When I got there, she and Jayden came out. So he went with us. We got there early so went over to the fabric store and she got some stuff she needed to finish a blanket. Then we went and eat and on the way out, she asked if I knew where Burlington Coat factory was. I did so we went and checked that out. I got worn out fast so went back to the car. After we got home, I sent Amy a text. She had bought a new laptop when she got her tax back and now she need money and I wanted a new laptop so I bought it and she came over and helped me get started on it. Then I wanted her to move my other computer to the dining room and do something to keep my desk together. She said I needed some gorilla tape, so we went to store and got some and while there got some things to put the clock on the wall. Then we took the kids to the park for a while. They have a new type of swing type thing and Both of the kids were on it. Made them dizzy. Then came back and worked on the desk and got the clock on the wall. It has sat on the floor since last Mothers day. We got up to almost 70 degrees today and supposed to be warmer tomorrow but with rain. I got one bag of my clothes out of the car today. I need to go get one of the bags of potting soil out so I can start planting seeds. But I am tired. I do not walk long, but did walk thru walmart, and then the dollar tree. After having been thru the other 3 places this morning. I feel like it is time to go to bed already.

Lynn, good to see you. I know it is hard for all of us to get over here. Hope the wedding is beautiful. I have a date with Gary next Saturday and he said he would come for Easter with the family. Amy was talking to him on im last weekend. And Easter is only 3 weeks away. I told Bev we will have to go back to Raleigh in a couple weeks and go to the Wral gardens. They should be beautiful. I usally wait til May and it is too late. She will be on vacation this week. I told her to listen when the news is on and see if they say anything about the gardens.

Jan, enjoy the kids and dont worry about the weight. I have been doing terrible. Got to try to rein it in tomorrow. I dont even want to weigh. But my clothes are started to tightening up. So know it is time. And the pharmacist guy will be back soon, so got to do it. Will start with a fast. Tomorrow. I feel so full right now. But it was so good.

Val, hope you had a beautiful weekend too. You get to do anything fun? Sorry I did not get in to answer your post a few days ago. But hope you are doing better on your eating than I am. Hang in there.

Talk later.

Lynn, I forgot about the wedding. I know it will be beautiful and hope you all have a wonderful time.

Evon, I'm glad you were able to get into the kids show and enjoyed it. Take it easy on your leg. I am praying for it to be good as new again.
Glad you got your clock on the wall. I hate it when I have to do something and I keep forgetting to do it or just don't have the time to do it.
Once the kids leave I have a lot to do to get caught up on everything.

Love you girls!

Hey girls, I have to go back and catch up on what y'all are doing now.

I think I told u guys that I got another kitten? Rocked my house apart for a day or 2 but the rocker is now in love with Mandy. She's a sweetheart! She was already spade when I got her (just done 2 says before) and we had her declawed about 3 weeks ago. She's crazy about the birds and not in a good way! Glad they're tucked safely in their own room! We've realized she can't meow right. The dog warden saved her from boys trying to kill her, which totally makes me sad cuz now that I know Mandy, I can't imagine her not being here! John said they crushed her voice-box. :-(

Mom, my sister in law and I are going to Texas April 18 to visit AJ. I CANNOT wait! I miss her so much! I will be gone Thursday through Sunday, mom and Linda will stay a week. Mom will tell her the beginning of April cuz mom doesn't want her stewing about it too long since she's had several strokes.

Better go? It's 1:39 am and I have to be at work at 630!!!

Hi Becky, back you have been missed! My heart is breaking just thinking of what that little cat must have gone through. What is wrong with kids that can do things like this. I fear for what they will be capable of as adults.
I know you will give her all the love that every cat deserves. I am happy she has you for her mama now.
I hope you all have a nice time at your Aunt AJ's. Your mom will be so happy to see her. She will love to see all of you I am sure.
I talk to my Aunt Anna at least 5 or more times a day. She has dementia now and she calls me all the time. I always answer the phone and I am always happy to talk to her even if we had the same conversation 15 minutes earlier. Ron talks to her too. She loves both of us and we love her too. We talk about my mom and her other sisters and how wonderful it was years ago when they were all alive. She is living in the past most of the time but that's okay, it was a happy past for our family.
She is like an alarm clock waking me up every morning. She calls me every night when she gets in bed and asks me if I am warm. She is so darn cute!

Have a great and blessed day everyone. Love to all!

Good morning Angels. Blessings on all of us and our family.

Becky, good to see you again, glad you got another cat to love. Enjoy every minute with him.

Jan, cute story about your aunt. Isnt it funny, she cant remember talking to you but she can remember your phone number. I dont know anyones number any more. I just hit their name and my phones call. My knee is healing pretty good. I actually slept in my bed til 6:30 this morning. I needed that so badly. Bert is in the hospital. He had a blocked intestine, so they operated on Sunday and got the blockage out. Then went back in yesterday and reattached it. Have not heard from him today. I think I will wait til tomorrow to call mark back. He works evenings so need his rest too. Hard taking care of people when you have to make a living. Have a good day.

Hi Everyone,

Evon, My Aunt has my name and the number she has to push to get me. She is a sweetheart.
Ron and I are going over there on Friday to spend time with her while my cousin goes to NY for the day with her friend Wanita.
We bring lunch with us when we go so she will have a nice day on Friday and we will too.
I am so sorry to hear about Bert being hospitalized. I will say a prayer for him for a very speedy recovery.
How is your knee feeling today? I hope you are recovering quickly also. Is anything starting to bloom in your yard. A lot of our plants in the front yard are starting to sprout. Some of them at 6 inches tall.
That gives me so much hope that spring is just around the corner.
Well big Ron and little CJ are hungry so time for me to get in the kitchen and cook for my boys!

Hello everyone. I love all of you!! JAN

John just said my crocus is coming up!

Just did 2.25 miles on my treadmill = 40 minutes.

That's sweet that u and Ron go to visit your aunt, Jan. I'm sure she looks forward to your visits!

Evon, did u have knee surgery? I hope your knee is feeling better!

I am loving Jenny Craig! I just put what I would have eaten in a container for John to take to work for lunch, no waste there and I have my Jenny food. It's working out well for us that way.

I Need to get going, gotta warm johns dinner up and then head over to Kim's to get the girls from Brad.

I'd anyone doing anything for St. Patrick's day this weekend? Easter plans? I need to get the girls Easter dresses soon, I hope they're not all picked over!

Hi Becky, Speaking of my Aunt Anna. She called me at 10:30 tonight. She goes to bed around 7 or 7:30 so when she called I asked her what was wrong and she said, "Nothing, I just woke up so I figured I'd call you before I make my breakfast."
I said, M'tante, it's not time for breakfast it's 10:30 at night you should be sleeping. She was so confused I felt like crying. She was saying she was sorry if she woke us up. I told her that she didn't and we never go to bed before 11:30 or 12:00 but she still felt bad. She said, "I must be going crazy." Those words cut through my heart like a knife. I remember when my mom used to say that. I felt like crying.
I am so sad that she seems to be getting worse lately. I know it's because she lost her son on October 13th. He used to call her every day and she misses him so much. He died after getting a serious infection when he went into the hospital for heart surgery. He was only 65 years old.
I talked her for a while and asked her to get back in bed and she did. I asked her if her cats were in bed with her and she said yes. So she said she was going to go back to sleep. I hope she doesn't start wandering around in the middle of the night.
I'm so happy you are doing so well on Jenny Craig. How much weight have you lost so far? Do you feel you have enough to eat and do you have to order their food? I think Lynn tried that diet but said she was always hungry.
No plans for St. Patrick's Day for us yet.
Have a good night. Sweet dreams!

Hi Angels, very busy at work today so just doing a quick "drive-by"!! My diet has good days, but more bad days, not good ... I did do the hula hoop yesterday for 10 minutes, then went in and backed it up with 45 minutes on the bike, and afterwards, I was good and tired, a sign to me that I burned some good calories, yes!

Hubby and I bought got a new frig which was delivered yesterday, excited about that!! Our old one was leaking water and on its last legs - we usually just purchase the cheapest thing available, but we used our fed tax refund, and hubby let me pick out what I wanted, a two-door refrigerator part, and a big deep drawer at the bottom, which is the freezer, and I just love it!!

No plans for St. Patrick's, but I know that an area here in DC called Georgetown will be filled with young folks drinking green beer and partying - my prayer is that they call the taxicabs and courtesy cars that drive people home, and not try to drive themselves ...

I read all the posts above, prayers and good thoughts for all my Angels; know that I love you very much, have a wonderful day in the Lord today!! Val

Well... I'm at the ER with my mom, she tripped and fell at the salon just before getting her perm and she hit her head. The goose egg is like 1/2 a baseball! If she gets to come home tonight I'll take her to my house. Don't want her staying alone tonight's!

Jan, I was starving the first 3 days. Now I'm satisfied on the food I get. I usually have a salad in between meals, maybe that's why I'm not hungry, I hope I can fit in a smaller size pants/jeans before I go to Texas. My pants were so tight before u joined Jenny and they're just now feeling comfortable!b I'm very happy this far with my program. With the way I flip flop tho, maybe ask me in a month! Lol.

Everything is ok with the c-scan. She'll go home with me tonight.

Good morning everyone, My kids and my babies left to go back to Texas yesterday afternoon. I am so grateful for the time I had with them and getting to know Kaitlyn. She is such an angel and we had so much fun with her and Jilly. They are the sweetest little girls and I miss them already.
I told Jilly to Skype with me as soon as they get home to introduce me to the newest member of the family. A new white stuffed kitten that she wanted her mom to order for Kaitlyn from her. It's going to be a surprise for Kaitlyn and Jilly is so excited to see her reaction to her new kitty on their arrival home.
She is such a thoughtful little girl and such a super nice big sister.
Please keep them in your prayers for a safe trip home.

Becky, I feel so bad that your mom fell down and hurt herself. Thank God she didn't break her hip or do serious damage to her head. I'm glad she got the okay to take her home. I'm sure you will take good care of her. Give her a big hug from her friend in RI.
I'm happy you're doing well on Jenny Craig. Is it expensive to buy their food?
Brock and Janine are eating about 80% vegetarian food and they all are so nice and thin. Brock's cholesterol is great now. My Jilly is so tall and thin! She is taking after her Grandma for sure. I was always a beanpole growing up. Only started putting on weight after I had kids.
Take care of mama and have a nice day!

Val, So happy your got a beautiful new refrigerator. It sounds just like the one that Scott and Heather have. They love theirs. When I move downstairs I may have to invest in a small freezer. The refrigerator and stove down there are small apartment sized. The stove is only a 24 inch one. The refrigerator is small too. I will make it work though. I'm thinking of way to get more cupboard space down there by maybe extending the kitchen all the way to the end of the space and having a slightly smaller living room. The space is big enough to do that I think.
Now that the kids are gone we can go into packing mode again and get ready for a spring move. I had packed away so much and had to almost unpack everything because I needed it. Oh well. Who knew the kids would both get so sick.
Shannon is not doing well at all. She is seeing lots of doctor's now. Her blood work came back this month and her liver, kidney and thyroid levels were all elevated. So that is very worrisome to all of us. They are going to check her again on the 18th. Hopefully the blood work will be better.
Please raise her up to the Lord in prayer as only you do so beautifully that she will feel better soon. I know you will so thank you Val!

Evon, Claire, and Lynn, I hope you are all enjoying seeing signs of spring outside. I can't wait till I can walk our the door of my basement apartment and walk right outside into my beautiful backyard and be one with God and nature and all that makes me happy!
Love and blessings to all of you, JAN

Good morning Angels!

Jan, I am lifting Shannon's name right now to our Healing Specialist ... Lord, you know what your child stands in need of; I pray right now for a good report for Shannon, that You will perform a spiritual cleansing concerning her blood work, that the levels go down so her numbers can again be normal. I pray and ask for Your touch upon her, your precious child. I claim it today, and thank you and praise you already in advance for what You are going to do for her. I lay this prayer request before Your Throne of Grace, lifting Your Name and thanking You in advance, in Jesus' Name I pray, Amen ...

Becky, I lift this prayer for your mom: Heavenly Father, thank you, You are such a wonderful and awesome God! Thank You for the healing of Rebecca's mom; it was a moment of concern, but You turned that concern into a spiritual healing; thank You for the fact that her injury was not serious when it could have been. It is by Your stripes that we are healed, thank you Father for placing Your Hand upon her, and I pray that every day, she gets better and better! It is in Jesus' Name that I pray this prayer, Amen ...

As I lift prayers this morning, I am reminded of the journey I had with my knees; even though there may be problems that arise in our roads to recovery, even though you may feel that you can't make it another day, in the end, everything turns out all right, and it's simply because Jesus loves us and cares about us, Hallelujah!!

Good morning to everyone!! I'm glad it's Friday; I will be out of the office next Monday for my CWS day off, and this is one of those rare occasions where I have no plans made at all! I had thought about getting my hair done either Sunday afternoon or Monday, and I also thought about getting the fence people to come out and give me an estimate for getting that back part of the yard fenced up. I took pics of my new frig, I just love it sooooo much; I am going to try to upload one to my avatar, not sure if it will work though - I do need to change it because our days of snow are over for this season - if I can't get a refrig picture up, I'll put something else in there -

So I was talking to a coworker this morning, and she told me that she is a member of WeightWatchers, and that there is a location right across the street from my job, that it has been there for only 7 months or so. I did WW before, and I have pros and cons about it - one of the pros is having to be accountable to someone when they do their weekly weigh-ins. A con is having to pay someone each week just to get weighed. I will have to think and pray on whether I want to join again; I want to try to see if I can cut down on my eating on my own first before signing up with them again.

Pray that all of my Angels are doing well in the Lord today; know that I love you all, have a wonderful weekend!! Val

Stopping by for a quick moment. I have Gracie here cuz Kim had to work and she couldn't get ahold of her client. Kim said she never answers her phone and then makes comments about her calling and saying "I guess u needed me?" Well, ANSWER YOUR PHONE!

So tired, I couldn't rest well for listening to whether she got up or not. I'm paying for it today!

Jan, my food runs about 100-125 depending on what I get and sometimes I get extra in case we have snow and I can't get in that week. I'm trying to keep a week ahead in case I don't get in for a week. In the spring I can drop it down, and eat some of my reserve so I will have a few weeks.

Does anyone have any plans for the weekend? One of my coworker/friends and I are going to Mimi's tomorrow for lunch. I think mom will still be here so Kim offered to come stay with her since the girls will be with brad so Karen and I can go to lunch. We've been planning this for over 3 weeks. Kim is such a sweetheart! Love that girl to pieces.

Well, I'm making Gracie a hot dog, she's going to turn into a hot dog!!!

Val, your prayer for Shannon brought tears to my eyes. Thanking you from the bottom of my heart my dear friend. I love you! I love that nice new picture of you standing next to your beautiful new refrigerator. You model very well!.
Joining you in your prayers for all of our Angel friends today. We all have something going on all the time it seems.

Becky, I am so happy your mom is doing well and that she is still enjoying her visit with you. Your little house guest must be keeping Grandma lots of company. I love Gracie's angelic face. She is a doll.
My kids should be back in Texas tonight or tomorrow morning. If I know my son though he will push through so they can sleep in their own beds tonight. I have been burning tea lights since they left. That is the only candle I will leave lit when I leave the house. I have it sitting in my St. Jude holder that is so pretty and the holder is sitting in my biggest pot, my dutch oven so the cats can't get to it.
Ron and I are going out today for dinner but that is about all we are doing today. Tomorrow I think we will just chill at home.

Have a great day everyone. Love and many wonderful blessing going out to all of you and your families.

Wow, yall been busy lately. Let me see if I can catch up.

Becky sorry your Mom fell and got a gooseegg and glad it was not worse. I fell at work on Valentines day, my foot got caught in a computer cable and I went and my leg did not. I broke my knee on right side. It had already been broken twice. I think I hurt my back also. Will get doc to check it out when I go back on Tuesday. I get better every day, but still got a ways to go. Hope you enjoyed your day out today.

Jan, it breaks my heart that Shannon is down again. She had a pretty good run with it and was hoping it would continue. Maybe the Lord has something great for her, and the devil is just roaring like a lion but the Lion of Judah will hold his mouth and God will not be defeated. We serve a mighty God, and all who go against him are defeated, even if it does not look like it sometimes. I started out Monday, back on Atkins. It lasted til I got to work. It was Bevs birthday on Sunday and we went out to celebrate. She told me she was taking the week off to clean carpets and stuff. Then get to work on Monday and she is sitting there. I asked her wont she supposed to be off and she said she cancelled it because she could not go any where. While I have been mia, she also totaled her car. So she is driving Wills van and he drives his state car. She is supposed to get enough money from the insurance company to pay off the van also. She had said something about going to Oklahoma to visit her friend from Greenville NC. They were friends in Ok and then both ended up in NC. I went with her to visit Jean in Greenville a few times. Pam went the 1st time cause she lives in Greenville also. Or did last time I heard from her. Well Jean has a son in Oklahoma City and went to visit him, so while she was there she suffered a stroke. Now she is in a facility. And Bev wants to go visit her once more before she dies. But thought she had dismissed that idea, so I think she might be suffering a little bit of Altzheimers. But if I lived in that mess she does, I would be worse than that. When I started at Agri, they told me we would get profit sharing. Then the next year, they did not give one, and now any year since then. But we got one this year. Pam told me what she got in her last one and I expected something big. We got one, but it was nowhere near Big. I told Gary I was going to buy underwear with mine. I can get lots of underwear, but I think the way the economy is going, we need extra underwear and towells and wash rags. I am stocking up.

Val I love your new fridge. It looks just like Barbaras. She stores a lot in her bottom freezer. And she has lots of stuff hanging on hers also. I have been doing Atkins since Tuesday and lost 5 lbs so far. I had a challenge today. I met my new man friend for lunch at Golden Coral today. But I hung in there. I started with a salad, with cheese and ham and beef in it. Then I had a couple pieces of chicken and some fried okra and fish. And I drank dr coke. He ate completely opposite but he had a salad also and 3 desserts and then when He met me at the car, he had 2 chocolate chip coookies. Tried to give me one, but i stood firm. So I am proud of myself. I am thinking about cutting out a lot of the salt this week too, to get a few more pounds off. I had lost 10 lbs since my last weigh in, but then after I broke my knee I gained 14 back. And now I got to atleast get another 5 off before weigh in again, this month. Wish me luck. I used to belong to TOPS and I hated to pay to go and get weighed in and then we went out and celebrated at a restaurant. I cant do that any more. I got to hang in there

Gotta go, got another date, this time with Joey. Bye

Hi Evon, I feel so bad for Shannon too. She was doing so well. She had to go for more blood work this morning. I am praying that the results are better this time.
I know God wants only what is best for her. She is a good girl and I know our prayers will be answered. In the meantime we don't ever give up on a miracle for her.
I am way up in weight and I have to see my cardiologist this week. I need to go for blood work for my primary care doctor and keep putting that off too.
I am happy you had a nice lunch date with a new guy and ate well and wasn't tempted by that cookie.
I hope you enjoy your other date too.
Well I am very thankful that my kids made it back to Texas without any problems. They got home about 9:00 tonight and said they were going to go right to bed. It was a long day of traveling for them.
My babies must be so happy to be sleeping in their own bed with all their stuffed animals. They have so many. They each brought about 5 small ones with them.

Well I am going to bed now. I am tired and Ron and CJ are already snoring up a storm. See you all tomorrow. Good night and sweet dreams to everyone.
:a prayer:

Hey Jan, glad they made it home okay. I cant believe it was snowing up north in the last few days. We got up to 79 degrees yesterday. Gary called me last night and boy was he peeved. And no reason for it. I gave him good directions, but just like a man, he had his mind set in other directions. He thought it would be best to go back the way we came back to my house. But I gave him better directions. Because he was not to I 40 when he thought he should be, he turned around and kept turning around til finally, he stopped and asked directions and was put on the right path again. And that is all my fault. I gave him perfect directions and if he had done what I told him, he would have had no problem. And saved him a good 10 miles, if he had not started to have doubts and turned around. I had already had a run in with his stubborness, but it will be the last time. Until then, we had gotten along pretty good. He was a perfect gentleman and never tried anything. He did kiss me when he got ready to leave, but I cant do drama again, so dont plan to see him again. I see why he is alone.
So you and Ron staying home today? I probably will, so I might go shoppping a little. I do not usually go on the weekend, but seem to have a need for exercise. After 80 for a high yesterday, we only expect a high around 54 today. I can believe this weather. Have a good day.

And Happy St Patricks day. Did you know why they have a shamrock when they show something about St Patricks day? He was a real christian and used the shamrock to demonstrate how the trinity can be 3 in 1. I thought that was neat. Later

Jan, so glad that the family got back okay!! Also, please share about Shannon's new bloodwork results when you get a chance. Know that she is completely covered by the Blood of the Lamb, and also by the prayers of your Angels ...

Evon, I had Easter candy secretly hidden on my side of the bedroom, and that just can't be happening!!! I knew that the trash was going to be picked up today, so I put it all in the bag going out, and I feel great that I did that!! I've got lettuce for salads, dressing, eggs, bacon, pistachio nuts and lots of eggs, and I've got frozen shrimp and frozen hamburgers in my freezer, so I'm gonna switch to LC for a while too. I know that when I eat that way, my appetite gets in check! Think I'll pass on those WW meetings, I can weigh myself once a week, and LC makes me lose great weight -

Becky, I had to smile when you said Gracie is going to turn to a hot dog!! Isn't it funny how little ones only want certain foods, that's how it is with my grands too! And I'm the same way when they stay over, I don't sleep good because I'm constantly listening to see if they are awoke or not. Hope you were able to catch up on your sleep, and I know you had a great time with her being there!

I've got to run - know that I love you all, happy Tuesday, TTYL! Val

Good evening Angels and blessings on all of us and our families. It is so hot here right now. I am sweating. But I should not complain knowing what is coming. I had another doctor appt with my knee today and the whole office must have been out of sorts. New person checking in. they put the wrong reason I was there, and eveything else they could get wrong. The doctor apologized because she was out of sorts because her party of 6 saw 3 of them come down with the flu over the weekend at the beach house. She was busy cleaning up to keep the well ones well. Said my knee looks like it is healing and growing back together. I told her I was having problem with the other one again and might need to go to the ortho again. She ask me why and I told her might need another shot of cortizone. So she mixed up some and put it in instead. Hers hurt less than the ortho.

Val, good job on the throwing out the candy. I am a little dissappointed. I have been doing atkins and staying on plan a week and not lost a pound. When I went to the doctor, I weighed the same as 2 weeks ago when I was in there. According to my scales, I had lost 5 lb but then this morning, I was up 3 of those so dont know what is going on. I got appt with Rich on 26th and probably will not have lost anything he can tell in the last 3 months. but I did, and then I gained it back. I was down 13 lb from where I am today. One day, maybe I will learn to keep my mouth shut. I want to do Juddd but it just dont work for me. I want to do the potato hack but I only have a week and scared it wont work so stuff with atkins, that dont work. I am so frustrated.

Hi Everyone, Val that video was of an accident caused by people texting while driving. There was a lot of blood and many people were hurt. It didn't say if anyone was killed but it was pretty graphic. But if it will save the life of even one person it is worth posting.
Shannon's blood work came back the same. Not good! So we will keep praying for better results next time. Her blood work for her kidneys was not right either so they checked that again and that at least was back to normal. They also checked her for her Thyroid and that too came back normal.
Her neurology nurse told her not to worry about the raised liver enzymes. She has to take Milk Thistle and Vitamin B-12 which are support the liver. The doctor thinks she was taking too much pain medication so now she can't take Tylenol or Ibuprofen any more. So I hope the next test in a few weeks will show an improvement. So now is her legs or her back hurts she has to us a heating pad.
She might be 37 years old but she is still my baby and I can't stand her being so sick.
Thank you to all of you who are praying for her. I know that in due time God will make things right for her.
I have to tell you that you did yourself a big favor by throwing away that Easter candy. I have bought a few things and hidden them too, but Ron and I ate them. But I am determined to not buy all that sugary stuff anymore. I will get more healthy and all natural snacks for us.

Evon, I am as frustrated a everyone else about my weight. Just can seem to love weight and keep it off. I think my depression over Shannon is taking over my ability to think about sticking to any plan at this time. I have to get more raw food in my diet and less carbs. That's the bottom line. It's so sad but so true! No more cake and cookies for us.
I think when you are retired, full of aches and pains, pushing 70 the only things that seem to make us happy is our family, especially our grandchildren and food. So I think when the spring gets here in the far, far, far away future we will have to start doing things outside instead of instead of a restaurant.
Glad you knee is healing well and you go a cortisone shot in you other knee.
Feel better soon.

Well I am going to bed. Jason shoveled the slush from our drive way when he came home from work so it wouldn't be all solid ice tomorrow morning. I have a lot of errand to run tomorrow.
Have a wonderful night and sleep tight. Love and blessing to all of you. Love you all, JAN :a prayer:

Hello Angels! Well, add me to the list of just not doing good on a diet plan; I was sharing with hubby this morning that I am getting frustrated in not losing any weight. I was telling him that I'm not working out like I should, and he said that together we can get a plan together so we both can work out.

I'm thinking that if I can make plans for a nice vacation this summer, where I'll have to wear a bathing suit or something like that, it may be incentive to stop eating so much. DD saw an ad for some kind of drops made from raspberries, but I have already spent money on the capsules when it was the fad last year, so not wanting to buy anything else that won't work for me. I am proof from my surgery that if you eat less, you lose weight, it's as simple as that. My pants are still tight, and I have started to wear the next size pants up that I held onto - they were droopy before, but now, they fit good, bummer ... I must admit that I do feel good about getting rid of that candy; I know that if I hadn't done that, I would have eaten it all, crazy ... So those are pounds that I won't be getting; now I've got to work on the rest of the food I'll be eating!!

Jan, still lifting prayers for Shannon; some of the numbers were good, some not so good; praying that she will have a good report for the next blood test; I'm believing and claiming it, in the Name of Jesus! And re the video, you are so right, if it will save one life, then it is definitely something that needs to be seen, Amen ...

Evon, know that I will be praying for your knee, that you will have less and less pain as each day goes by - our joints are something, and when they aren't working right, it seems to affect our whole bodies, we hurt and ache more than usual, and the simpliest things become difficult ... Hugs to you, feel better soon; know that God has His Healing Hand on you ...

Gotta run, know that I am thinking and praying for all my Angels; love you all!! Val

Good evening angels. Blessing on us and our families.

I think it has to do with the weather. It has been cold for so long and lots of people are complaining about not losing and even gaining. I do know I eat too much sometime, but been good since I started back on Atkins and it is not working. But I did lose a lb when I weighed this morning so maybe the tide is turning. All I can do is what I can do. I get so unhappy when i think about how small I got last year and then turned around and gained it back again. My knee was doing good this morning so work my regular non sports shoes today. And I was walking pretty good. Then went to move my car, and when I started to get out, it got caught again like it did last year when it started. I had to bend in back pretty good and hold it a minute before I could even get back into the building. Atleast I brought my brace so have it on again.

Jan, I am sorry Shannon is going thru this. I dont remember if we ever talked about vitamin D. Does she take it? I read that people further away from the equator get ms more than people closer to it. Because they dont get enough sun. If she dont take it. maybe she needs to try it. I take 2,000 units most days, but every once in a while I throw in a little more. Especially if I have pain in my body. And hoping and praying she gets better soon. I also heard that tylenol will kill a body quicker than any other drug. and look at how long doctors have been pushing it on people. It is really bad news for kidneys. I have gone back to aspirin and hardly ever take that. I am thinking if Atkins can save me from this disasterous train wreck next week I am going to stay on it until atleast when I have my physical. If not, I am going to go low fat next week. It might be good for a change. Cereal and skim milk keep running thru my mind. Today I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, and brought a big hamburger for lunch. Might have a snack when I get home. Atleast some coffee and put the protein powder in it and some cinnamon in it. I am into cinnamon lately for some reason. It is great with half and half and almaretto sugar free syrup in coffee.

Val, thanks for your prayers. Maybe we need to have an online prayer meeting. Wouldnt that bee cool? I remember when I used to have hot mail and we could have a conference online. Wonder if we could do that on skype. Wonder if you have see more than 1 person at the time. I did not even see the person I used to talk to on there. they just had a picture. I have been reading about these ratters and now I am scared to even turn my cam on. We just have to set our mind I guess and just forge ahead, 1 meal at a time. And the Lord willing, we will succeed. Have a good night.

Jan, you got snow again?

Good morning Angels and blessings on all of us. And how quickly things can change. As I said before, I had another problem with my knee on Wednesday, and it has just gotten worse. I am hoping some of it is just the weather, but I dont know. I thought I was better last night, but this morning, not only does my knee hurt, but also my hip and my back. I am supposed to work tomorrow, so off today. My brother was coming but sent email asking him not to. Have not heard anything so dont know if he is coming or not. I over slept this morning so thank God that benedryl still works. Since Bev totaled her car, I have to pick her up in the morning, so she can unlock the fence for me if need be. Hope yall are doing well and have a good weekend. Talk later. Prayers needed.

Evon, I peeped in to see what is going on with my Angels, and was sad to see that you are going through with your knee ...

Heavenly Father, I come to You today thanking and praising You for Your goodness and mercy. I ask a very special prayer today for my friend and Angel Evon, who is in need of a healing touch from You. I thank You for providing her with a restful and uninterrupted sleep last night, but she continues to experience discomfort and pain in her knee. I pray now, in the Name of Jesus, that Your will be done, that she may receive healing, the kind of healing that only You can provide. Evon is Your child, You created her, and I ask for a refreshing and miraculous healing in her body right now, and that she be pain free. I pray this special prayer and Blessing for Evon, and thank You in advance for what You will do, in Jesus' Name I pray, Amen ...

Praise the Lord for his Goodness and his mercy. I just came and read this Val and it brought tears to my eyes. God is so good. He knows the beginning from the end. And He still does miracles. I sat here and typed the message before in such pain. And then it was time to go and get my bath and put on my clothes. I backed my office chair thru the kitchen and down the hall to the bed room. And when I got up, the miracle occured. The pain was so much lessened. The muscles are still sore above and below my knee, but I have not had to roll in my chair since. I am fully dressed with my shoes and socks on. I dont have on the brace but still have the elastic bandage on. Since I was naked, I did step on the scale and was down another pound so according to my record, I am down 6 since last tuesday morning. Atleast I have lost below what I was when I was last weighed. Still got 3 days to get off a couple more.

And Val, I thank you for the intercession with the father in my behalf. I appreciate your love and friendship. God bless you as you carry on in his strength today, and bless you with a time of refreshing this weekend. May your spirit be renewed at the same time as your body. And may you be blessed with a weight loss as well, for when we pray for others, we receive as well; as you give, you shall be given.

Going to go to the store and get some needed items to be set for the next few days, while I am blessed. Have a great day and blessings on all of us.

Good morning Angels. Blessings on all Angels and their families. Looks like another grey morning. We had rain all day yesterday with a hi in low 40's. My knee is better today. I am in a lot less pain than I was. Still feel like it has had the cramp in it. I am thinking all the pains last week were from the shot she gave me. Maybe I was allergic to the numbing part of it or something, or maybe she gave me something different than what the orthopaedic had given me. But I am better and was yesterday so that is good. Dylan spent the night with me Saturday night and he was just as good. No problem. He wanted bacon and eggs for breakfast so I fixed them. he did not eat his bacon but ate both eggs. When I told his mom, she said he never eats eggs at home. Guess he likes them in bacon grease better. He also wanted to go to church so we got ready and went to his house and went to church. They had let him light the candles one Sunday and he wanted to do it again, but they already had Madison and another little girl dressed for it. But it being palm Sunday, they let all the kids come out and wave the palms. So he did that. The Minister asked them what they were celebrating and one kids said the Easter Bunny. He said no, so another kid said their daddys birthday. So he has to explain it. Michaels family was there, and his mom sat one side of me and Amy on the other and his grandma on the other side of her. Amy went for some test for a job with ATT on Saturday morning. They started out with a lot of people on the 1st test and when they finished, they only had 4 for the 2nd set. She said she was 1st to finish so say a prayer for her. She needs a job. They still have to pay for 2 places. Michael owns a house and they rent where they live. His grandmother is renting the house he owns so that helps with the payment. But it only has 2 bed rooms and since Dylan has to have his own, they cant live there.

Praying Shannon has a miracle and is healed from her physical problems.

Have a good day all.
