Hello all

Yes we had a terrific storm yesterday. It was not as bad as predicted in my town. The winds were awful and the rain came about 2 hours later than expected and moved out fast. There was some terrible tornadoes north of Atlanta. I heard 100 cars overturned on the interstate. I'm glad it is over and it is much cooler today. Thanks for worrying.

FINALLY got the house completely cleaned all at one time. The vacuuming done, everything. Of course, one afternoon with the Whirling Dirvish and it doesn't look like I bothered. That is the one constant in life, housework, eh?

Have a great day and enjoy what ever comes your way.

Anne

Goin on a bit of a walk just to see if any trees are down in my little neihborhood.

Good morning everyone.

Woke to high winds and heavy rain about three AM, and it continued throughout the early morning hours. Rain has stopped, but the winds are still fierce.

I'm glad to see you guys "way back yonder" made it through the night of storms, hot dang!!

It's 22 degrees here, still too cold to go out and fool around for long, we are tired of it, cabin fever and all that nonsense that goes with it.

Hopeful any of our sick people are mending, our daughter in law has a flu again, don't know if it's the same one she had last month or not.

Take care, off to caress the new pillow dh put on the bike seat..

Good morning all...glad everyone has made it through yesterday's sturm und drang...horrible weather "back yonder." I won't say anything about it's 63 degrees and sun shining on the patio...ooops, I did say it.

Just heard on the telly a report on Super Bowl Sunday food, that in America we go through 6500 lbs of avocados on this day....I guess everyone likes guac. It'll be a down day for me, so I guess it's a good thing I'm not going to a party that day.

A bit frustrated today as per the metal monster that lurks in the bathroom, another month without losing a pound...sigh! That's three months the body is still adjusting to my new weight. I even had a few days four pounds less of me, but it didn't hold up...oh well, we'll see what the new month brings....sigh! I guess I'm doing well if that is the source of my winter of discontent.

Hope you all are staying warm, active, and good things are coming your way.

Good morning....slept in til 10.

Pandora has stopped eating so I guess it won't be long now. She still doesn't seem to be in any pain. I guess she is just fading away.

Begete. hugs for Pandora, hope she stays easy....so hard to lose one's fur friends...

Had lunch with the crew today at a new, for me, place in Sunnymead Ranch. Don't know why I haven't discovered this place before, but I don't get up there too often...the name of the place is Oishee...which means delicious in Japanese and it was. So now I know where to go when I get homesick for Tokyo...maybe my first trip will be a hop back to the Kanto Plain.

So, sitting here having a cup of coffee with a few gingersnaps and thinking of my Japanese friends...

Oh Begete, very, very sorry about Pandora.

I am sendin her my heart full of love for her. Ms. Wonderful she is and always has been and the sweetest of memories of her for the rest of my life.
It is so cold here that my walk with Anita was even shorter than usual even though we looked like two Michelin Men trudin down the street.
A good niht of TV for me and I got what looks to be a excellent book to read from the library..."Mortality" by Hitchens- a lon time columist for Vanity Fair. I admired that maazine for many, many years but have not bouht it for several years now.
Today is my estranged son's Birthday... the blizzard of 1967 in Nassau County, N.Y. where his Dad was a internal medicine resident (The divorce train left down the tracks without him). Life can be so very sad.
I thouht of Vodka, a box of Krispy Kreams or a pack of menthol lights 100s and opted for the ciarettes... 30 days of quit out the window.
A good niht is wished for everyone here.

Hope everyone has as good a day as possible. I too am sitting here watching DD's cat in her last days...She will still drink a little milk, but not eating...so ((((Hugs))) for you Begete....

Lainey, I'm sending you cyber hugs, too, so sorry you can't find your son after all these years, I can't imagine the pain of that.

Begete, we lost our beloved Bulldog in January 5 yrs. ago, and I still have tears, I'm so sorry and can only send cyber hugs to you, also

Glenda, how old is your daughter's cat, I forget, and also wish the cat a smooth trip over the Rainbow bridge, so to speak.......it's tough to lose an animal of any kind.

Take care, everyone.............

Ditto that, Lainey, how very sad for you and for him.
Glenda, I would have opted for the vodka and the Krispy Kreams too.

Babette, my heart goes out to you. Hopefully Pandora is comfortable.

Lainey - so sorry for your estrangement.

The vet was here about 5 hours ago. Gave her two injections, antibiotics and some anti nausea med. hasn't done any good. She still will not eat and is just lying here.

We gave her intravenous fluids yesterday and she hasn't even urinated. I don't want to lose my girl. She's been my baby for 17 years.
