Going to be beautiful here. High in the 70's. I am thankful for this, don't think I could manage the snow and ice anymore. Not much on the agenda today. I SHOULD get out and pull weeds. Maybe I'll just sit outside and enjoy. I did get a voice message from our SuSun yesterday. I hope we can meet sometime next week. My phones and internet were out for hours yesterday. I am glad I have that voicemail option, or I would have missed her and another very important call. Hope everyone is enjoying more moderate weather. Glenda

Glenda, I'm glad you heard from Susan. Here, too, we'll be having temps in the 70's for a week anyways. I've put a pic to the left of when Susan, Ginny, and I last met. Make sure that you take pics, too.
Everyone, take care. I'll be back later.

I too heard from Susan yesterday evening. I didn't realize she had called till this morning, we were at the movie and I never checked my phone after getting home. The movie (Lincoln) was good, however a teeny bit slow I thought, but would recommend it for sure.

I haven't called Susan back yet but will today. I had bills to write this morning and then I heard from a friend from years back when I lived in FL (before marrying the Iowa guy) and she is here at our Clubhouse as part of a health fair, so will be going up there and hopefully having some time to chat.

Nice day already, as Julie said into the mid 70s.

Tonight over to some friends and then I think we're going to a restaurant called Mojo's. It's a burger/fries kind of place, good food but a little loud. Anyway, these people like it and we like the people and..............it also means I don't cook!

Cold, cloudy & snowy here today, barely in the 20's. Brrr.
Meeting some friends for drinks tonight, sort of a late birthday celebration for my cousin. It will be nice to get out, I've been cooped up way too much this month.
Seriously need to find a weight-loss plan I can stick with, LC and JUDDD just aren't for me. I might just go back to old-fashioned calorie counting.
Everyone have a great weekend!

Cold and damp here, too.

We caught a break yesterday and got in some serious birdwatching in British Columbia. Today will be cooking and cleaning and dinner out with a friend tonight.

Have a good one.

Julie what a lovely picture. Good to see the gals.

Ice early this am but the temp has warmed up and the roads are clear now.

John is cooking dinner this evening for our friends.

Good morning all...finally up and moving, but don't know why...cloudy, rainy, but temps in the 60's. Our cold front is delayed and will be coming in over the weekend with more rain coming. I, too, can't take the snow and ice anymore, a true desert person...still thinking of moving back to Vegas where the temps range even further, colder and hotter.

Nuttin' planned for the day except staying warm hmmm, just received a call from the bank saying one of my cards may have been compromised and they're sending a new card. Guess I'd better call and make sure that's true. I recently downloaded a book for the Kindle about Identity theft and how to protect yourself. So! I now have something to do today, oh yes, there's laundry that needs doing, too. sigh!

Hope you all have a great day and stay warm.

It's a beautiful day in my neighborhood. Dh is putting ground cover around the plants in the backyard. Our neighbor had some dumped in there driveway and she came over the other day and said it's way too much for them and she wanted to share. So Dh was there with his handy wheelbarrow. Will miss them when they leave which will be soon. They are moving to a larger house with more bathrooms. I'm happy for them. They will make sure we don't get the wrong neighbors to replace them when they rent this one out. Family instead of college students.

I've been loving my orange in the morning with my breakfast. We have our tree right by our slider and I just walk out that door and pick one. They are navel and just amazing in taste. What a way to start my day!

I'm adding slowly whole grains as a test along with more fruit variety now. The scale seems to like it as I'm losing a little bit and no cravings. Every body's different and you just have to feel it out and see what's best for you. The key is seeing some results without starving yourself.

So glad you both,Ginny and Glenda, heard from Susan. I've been thinking about her and the fun she is having. It must be bittersweet going without her husband. So glad she is finding herself again.

Louise, how's Bob today? You know you can't keep a good man down. Walking the dog and just plain getting outside makes you feel better.

Lainey keep those fuzzy slippers handy for the snow coming your way. Have a cinnamon stick handy at all times .

Linda glad you had fun at the gun show. We get them around our area too but have never been. Dh loves to hunt and has his rifles and a pistol. His brother belongs to a gun club where they meet and shoot at targets. It's called a Cowboy Shoot. He dresses up like a cowboy and has a knick name. He also is an archer. Dh hasn't gone that far but we have fun get together and they are the ones we camp with.

Mary I'm hoping that identity thing gets straightened out. We have never had that type of phone call. Where's some wood to knock on?

Your body likes you to be boring and predictable. Let's all try to make it change it's mind today.

Had a busy morning for having the day off! But it was fun to get out a bit. We ate at the Cracker Barrel, DD and I. A very nice visit.

Went shopping to exchange some jeans I bought the wrong size for DGS. While I was there I quickly looked through the ladies and of course found "Just the thing I needed". A $60 light quilted jacket marked to $7. I had to get that! LoL...

So now I'm home and will read a little and watch some BBC shows.

Hope you all enjoy whatever weather you are getting today!

Sharon, that orange right outside the door sounds wonderful. I had one when I lived in FL and got very spoiled. I should have stayed there. Shoulda, woulda, coulda...

Oh, Anne, two finds in one day, lucky you! Love Cracker Barrel but am deprived as none are in California...have to drive to Flagstaff, Arizona for my fix. And such a buy on the jacket...good for you.

Wish my mystery tree had been an orange, Sharon, but the goddess gave me lemons, so I make a bunch of lemonade.

Yahoo! found out my account had not been hacked, but apparently some place I had used the card had been hacked, so the bank is changing the account number and issuing a new card. Which is a good thing because when I checked the card, it had expired in December and I had not received the replacement. so it's all good.

Hope the day is going well for you all. Apparently the sirts have kicked in as I'm puttering around the house and staying very busy...hmmm, that's also a good thing. Freezer being cleaned out and laundry being done...next I'm straightening out some of the cabinets.

Stay warm and dry folks.

Mary, you don't have to drive all the way to Flagstaff for Cracker Barrel, just drive to Kingman or Yuma, we have been to those often times, on the way to and from Texas

Shucks...I meant Kingman...there's one in Yuma? May have to check that one out...Yuma's only 200 miles or so, Kingman's 300. Of course, either one is a long way to go for lunch. sigh!

Here's my two babies...I keep trying to get a good pic.

Aww what babies indeed. I keep trying to get a good picture of my two but one gets spooked by the flash. When he see me coming with camera in hand he runs.

Very cute, Mary...........yes, Yuma is the one we hit if we take the southern route. We plan our trips by where the Cracker Barrels are located........seriously, and the one in Kingman has a Hampton Inn just across the street, lol.

Hi Sharon!

It is cold and rainy, foggy, snow still around here, brrr.

Running in for a quick hi to all. Been busy today and not on line much.

Doris, thanks for the start off.

We have Cracker Barrel places here and back in the home town. Never did like them, except for a breakfast, but enjoy the gift shop a lot. Its fun to browse around in.

Mary, Aww, love your fur babies.

Sharon, good your DH is interested in firearms and hunting. Never know when we will really need them.
Sure hope your neighbor keeps the college students out so you don't have to put up with them.

Wow Anne, you got a great deal on that jacket. Good for you.

Loretta, so what did John cook for dinner?

So Gladys, you finally find a med to help you sleep more than a couple of hours? Good for you.

Crazy Cat, good luck with what ever plan you decide you can live with.
Darn this blasted cold, eh? Hopefully we will warm up next week.

Glenda, so good that you heard from our Susan. Hope all of you...Julie, Ginny..can get together.

Hi to Babette, Hope that you took some photos to share of the birds.

Darn that snow, Lainey. We got some too.

Off to watch one of the new "Infested" programs on the Animal Planet.

Had a real pleasant evening - Visited with friends who had a fire pit - We sat outside and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs, and just had a real nice time.
