How much do you guys pay for one bunch of Kale? The price at the local store was $4.98 a bunch, there was one bunch there, and it looked as though someone had swept the floor with it.........and the one bunch wouldn't be enough anyway. Is that a good price to those of you who buy kale?
I'm asking because my dh has agreed to try it........ |

Sunday's foods UD
Lazy Day...just right for a stroll in the park..
bbbut, of course, I didn't' do it...sigh!Doris, I bought kale for 59 cents a bunch last week...my only caution is that right now we are flooded with Mexican produce and since they don't have the restrictions against pollutants we do, I'm careful about buying them...this cold snap we had probably raised the price astronomically. My favorite use of it is in Olive Garden's Zuppa Tuscana which I make any time I get some good Italian sausage...I hope your DH likes it, it is so good for you and I think very tasty just sauteed up and added to soups and other dishes...beans and greens is another good way to use it....just a touch goes a loooooong way. B. noon, zucchini blini's, Canadian bacon, 1 egg, mock Hollandaise, half grape/crystal light for the pills and coffee/milk before and after s. celery, bell pepper strips, cucumber slices and a cauliflower floweret, Earl Grey S. OMG so good ...grilled salmon, scallops, and shrimp, Deglazed pan with butter & white Zin with a couple of roasted garlic cloves...soooo tasty! served with pot stickers, a few sugar pea pods and a glass of Zin1500 kcals

I paid $2.49 for a big bag of chopped cleaned kale. I like it with sauteed onions and bably portobellos sliced up. But I can see where adding sausage would be delish!

Bingo, Mary, that is exactly what I'm looking for, and I'll ask at this Safeway for that product next time I get there!!! Thanks!
My dh was reading Health magazine, and pointed out some recipes using kale that he thought might be good, is why I ask............coming from him, this is exciting news ![]() ![]() |

No breakfast this morning. With Dr. appt I wanted to get a correct weight without food. We had a nice talk about weight loss and I learned not to stress over all the diets but just relax and cut back on the higher fats. She already knows that I don't eat anything white. She agrees with that as it turns to sugar. I have kept my type 2 diabetes in remission by doing that and she is happy about that.
Lunch was pastrami rollup and 2 lite baby bell cheese balls Dinner steak and broccoli Snack berries with g. yogurt and walnuts dk chocolate
