Still raining,we are going to float away.I just fixed chow and warm milk for the two cats on the cat porch. The porch is getting wet but guess they don't want to run to the barn. They have shelter on the porch but have not used it.
I slept and woke up in the same day,so now I'm wide awake. Will sleep later. BBL |

Lovely here today, temps in the high 30's. Off to get a blood test today, in preparation for a doctor's appointment at the beginning of Feb. Lot's of fun playing with the grandbabies yesterday, but I was pooped at the end of the day!!

Here I am for better or for worse. Never went below 70 last night...nice!
Ginnie, I love going in for a pedi. First time I had one (at a VERY fancy place), my gift from DS and DDIL was for the super duper service and a mani, too. I thought I was in heaven. Now, I just go in for the basic pedi which includes the 30 minute foot/leg massage. Love it! Louise, sure hope the good news continues with DH. Will you be looking for another job or be a stay at home wife? Let us know how his tests come out!

Good Morning All,
I was up at 5 am and couldn't get back to sleep. I feel tired but not sleepy. The adrenalin kicks in as soon as I wake. Hopefully I can grab a nap this aft. DD wants us to walk for an hour around lunch time so I may just need a nap before we go. Waving to All... |

Just saying good morning, we had several inches of snow, but that should be it. Highway is open.
How warm that sounds, Julie, lol. Am I the only one who would hate to have someone rubbing my feet and legs for a long time? lol ![]() Hoping Louise's Bob is doing even better today! Off to finish some bike time, and pack some stuff together, got dh's meds done last night. Wishing you all a good day, or as good as you can handle. |

After a gorgeous day yesterday it's cold, wet & dreary here again today. Supposed to get to 48° but we've only made it to 31° so far.
I stayed up far too late last night (2:30am), finishing a novel. The parakeets woke me up about 8:30. Yawn. I sooooo need a pedicure. In the summer I get one about every month, then give myself mini-pedis in between. Since I've been wearing socks non-stop for a couple of months I haven't paid much attention to my feet. I need a haircut & a manicure too!

Doris, you are a natural born "keeper of family information". In generations past, there were always a few family members who did that. Families would talk about their ancestors and the youngers generations would know who they are and where they came from. Today's younger generations have no idea. Many barely know their grandparents. How can we have a strong nation of good values if the family is gone?
Oops gotta run quick - I hear bird wings. Back, Bandit the African Grey flew to somewhere he's not supposed to be. So I had to rescue him. Then Cathy came in and I got her started with making the dinner. I'm sorry if I offended anyone over my ranting and venting on the housing situation the other day. It was not directed at anyone personally. Rich just walked in with the cat tower/scratching post. Turkey is in the oven. I've got to make the stuffing next. I was having a low moment and decided to come back to delete it. I'd rather you all read something nice.

We had another record high yesterday, 87 degrees, that's two days in a row. We'll take it. I know the strawberry and tomato people are happy.
I loved the pedicure, so relaxing, will definitely do it again. Don't know what you all pay but it was $22, supposedly that's cheap. Gladys, thanks for taking care of those cats and fixing their breakfast on the porch, I know they appreciated it. I've seen where you all are getting an awful lot of rain. Another quiet night at home, we've been busy lately so being home in the evening is nice. Ginny |

Verleen, I'm sure no one is offended. I just hope the whole situation turns out well for you all.
Just heard from one of my sons that he and his wife are having major problems. I was hoping to visit them this spring, so I guess that's off. I went as far as checking out air fare, etc., etc. Always something! |

Julie, I'm sorry to hear about your ds and his wife. No one ever told us raising kids was easy, nor does it end when they grow up. I just wish things were a bit better with my youngest before I leave this earth. Some of you may have similar feelings. Its hard to just let them go and make their own mistakes.
In a week and a half I will be hugging those perfect grandchildren of mine. So far I have a a doll tea party to take my granddaughter to. She will love that. And they have a store, so I can buy her something for her doll. Its amazing what they have now. |

Mary I just love seeing your motor home. It makes me want to get out and travel in our little Casita.
Pedicure is something I have never had. It's on my list of fun things now thanks to you all. I have had manicures but now I just keep my nails short so they don't get in the way. I always looked at them and afraid of messing them up. Now I just have working hands. No stress of chipping. We're off to a nice walking park for a little walk with the boys. It's stopped raining and has a perfect paved walking path. Welcome Diane. Glad you found us and are joining in. ![]() See you all later.

Thanks, Babette, that's fun. Makes you think differently about the folks you know...so far, all of my friends are cats...aloof, stand-off, and not needy at all. Hmmm, maybe that's just me. lol
Speaking of friends, Doris, you are not alone in not wanting folks to touch your legs and feet. Of six of us yesterday, only one plus me have had or will do pedicures; everyone else hated the idea. Me! I like the pampering. It's 48 degrees here, rained this morning and snowing on the Grapevine and Cajon passes and nighttime temps will be in the 30's for the next few days here in the valley...0 in the mountains, and low teens in the high desert...so winter is still here. This would be an "Alberta Clipper" if we were in the Midwest. Hope the low slips south into Mexico but if it doesn't, all you guys in the East prepare for a doozey. Housecleaning today, so have to go get N...maybe I'll stop along the way to get a haircut and eyebrows waxed. (I won't say anything about the mustache...I hate those little hairs) Hope you all have a great day and good things come your way...

Evening gang, and welcome to Diane. Happy to have you join our group of Golden Oldies.
![]() LOL Babette, That video was hysterical!!! Tod is part "cat". ![]() Oh Doris, sorry you don't enjoy a pedicure. They are so relaxing, especially at shops that have those body massage chairs. ![]() Verleen, you could never offend me with talk about the problems with your house. Been there , done that and it helps to vent to friends. ![]() Mary, is that your coach in your avatar? Sweet!! Julie, so sorry about your son and wife. There isn't much we can do about our kids problems except lend an ear with our mouths shut.Sharon, just do it. A Pedicure is so relaxing and very inexpensive. Ginny, that's a great price for a pedicure. Around here the lowest I've found is $25. It pays to shop around. Happy 18th birthday to your grandson, Anne. They grow up so fast. Two of my granddaughters will be 18 this year. LOL Crazy cat, the nice thing about winter is wearing socks to hide our ugly toes and wearing slacks to hide our unshaven legs. ![]() Susan, hope you were able to catch a nap this afternoon. Hi to Michelle, Jaded58 and Lainey.

Yep, that's my baby...35 foot Coachman with three slides, living, kitchen and bedroom. We put less that two thousand miles on it before DH went into dialysis which restricted us...so I've a six year-old coach that's been parked for four years and only been as far as Vegas one time....sigh!
I'm really thinking of moving it to Vegas (where we lived for seven years before I went into the army almost 40 years ago) and settle there for good. I know of a few established parks that wouldn't be too bad. I'd have to get rid of a lot of stuff still in order to do that. Hope your day was good...we'll be seeing cold weather for another week before it clears... ![]() |
