On the road and almost into eastern Colorado to visit my friend when we encountered a tornado warning.

Now There's a view that will turn your stomach, Linda. We encountered such a thing when we left our son's in Plano, Texas, and were heading through Wichita Falls, scared the "bejabbers" out of us the whole time, and it rained like going through a car wash. All the way past Amarillo.

Rain is in the forecast for us today and tomorrow. We sure could use some. Ho severe storms in the picture.

Julie hope you got more sleep. It is a rare occasion when I simply cannot sleep. the last time that happened I read for a while.

The BBQ was really great and this time I used Ila's camera to take everyones picture. Think I got everyone but felt like a stalker as vowed no one would leave with out their picture taken. Today I will get pics of Ila and Anthony and the rooms of the house and of course my "GrandPurrs" and the fresh and salt water fish and creatures.
Anne that is a super pic of our sweet Maggie. Is the avatar "Duckie"?
Still wakeing up here so will be back later. It is the Aquaraum visit today.
Oh, got pics of the Town Home's swimming pool party as well- even the life guards. Another party today but won't invade their party with a camera.
Sigh, starting to think of the trip home.... too soon!

Saying a quick "hello", prayers, strong thoughts going out to Laurie, and Begete's family and of course, Laurie's family, too.

It was 36 degrees and woodstove, heater on, but is supposed to hit 83 or 86 today, the heat is moving in.

, tomorrow is the new specialist appt., so dh is very anxious about it.

A restful afternoon and evening yesterday. Today I hope to have the same. I watched a DVD of the Rat Pack's performing. I can't help it I laugh at them like it was the first time I have seen the shtick...such great entertainers. And they could wear a tuxedo!!

Good morning. Julie, it must have been the astral formation. I didn't sleep well and I usually do. The sun is out this morning but I'm too tired and weak to go out to enjoy it. Darn. The neighbor has a bunch of kids visiting today and Molly wants to play with them. Its driving her nuts and she's barking at them ("come over here to play"). So we had to bring her in.

I started dozing in my chair but not for long. I had a puppy jump on me whenever I closed my eyes.

Linda, that must have been scarey for you, driving while a tornado is out and about.

there may be some better news from Gabe and Laurie.

Lainey, it sounds like you are having a really good time.

Doris, I hope the visit with the new specialist goes well and calms your dh's fears. At last - some heat for you. Its still chilly here, but may warm up this afternoon.

Good morning all...nothing planned again for today, watching the start of the NASCAR race which is on now and a young AF sergeant is singing the national anthem...always makes my heart fly to see the young folk in uniform. I miss them most of all as they were the most fulfilling part of the job, training my replacements.

An ad on TNT for the reprise of DALLAS on Wednesday was just on and I guess I'll watch it. I was a Dallas fan back then, so will be interesting to see if they catch the magic of the show.

I got the bills paid yesterday but no cleaning so that will be on tap for today, maybe. I started in on the ancestry and found a couple of new people who are following a few of my lines. I left messages for them, so I hope they connect and have a few more hints for me to follow. One of them had my paternal line further than any other has been able to go, so I hope she has that elusive link that has escaped us all.

Hope you all have a great day and it warms up if it's been cold, rains if it's been dry, and dries up if it's been falling on you....

and the news just keeps getting worse. The biopsy was positive. I just cannot understand how it could show up again in the same area - it was diagnosed as a stage one cancer and the surgery was less than two months ago - and we assumed whatever the surgeon missed, the flesh eating bacteria ate! So Monday she begins 6 weeks of both chemo therapy AND radiation.

Thanx for all the prayers and positive energy - much needed.

Thanks for the kick off today Linda, what a great shot from your window, scary though.

Verleen and Julie, Me too I woke up at 4:30a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. I got up and watched TV and fell back asleep on the couch around 7a.m for about 2hrs. So I was glad to catch up with the sleep a bit. It must have been those stars and planets messing with us as you said Verleen.

Had a Fun day watching DGD ride again in another little show. One of the ladies from the widows group came with me and she enjoyed it too. It was a perfect day for it. A little on the hot side but we were under a large tree on our fold up chairs and I had a portable ice water spray fan.

Loretta, we kept going to get out of that area. It wasn't as bad as the full blown HUGE tornado that was bearing down on Des Moines, Iowa.

We hightailed it out of there on I 80 at at least 90 to 100 MPH and headed north on I 29 and on into Sioux Falls, SD.
