Good morning all and to all later in the day and evening as well.

Great daffs Doris. I would put a vase full in every room in my house.
Anne, does feel good to get lots done.
Another big gardening day around here with the nasty chore of weeding and this time I will put Round Up every where I pull the d#$&* things out and go ahead and load the patio blocks cracks with the stuff. Wash already done and dishwasher is read to go- the back awning is so perfect for clothes hanging I wish I had thought of it a long time ago. Used to just hang a few delicates there but why not big loads on hangers. I fold towels and sheets and then just flip them over when that side is dry and they dry so fast.
Shoot, I just swollowed one of my B12 gummies whole.
Gotta get a going.

Good morning all...for me a big day of racing...the Indy 500 on now and the Charlotte NASCAR race later. This would have been our 50th anniversary so a bit of the blues as well...

Y'all have a great day

So Sorry for the blues you are having today.

Mom, Dad & Sister birthdays are sad for me even though I some times am not even aware what the days date is so most of the month I think of them.
I still have not got outside to those hissing and booing weeds and now it is HOT. I ask for it by not getting out there when it was cool. stupid me!
I put some Hellmans in the cole slaw and some grey poupon in the beans and at least it made them edible. From now on I will just go to Golden Corrale and enjoy myself but for sure will declare a few days before or after the actual holiday date to go as crowds here and little kids every where with their fingers in all the stations is a real turn off.
A thermos of iced tea and my buttons are NOW headed for them there weeds.

Afternoon friends. Taking a long break here. My back and legs are shot. Rich and I have been working on gardening this morning early and just came in now. We got alot done but the weather is too hot now. On these hot days we have to water the big hanging baskets twice a day. I got all the veg. gardens planted and finished the rest of the flowers today. got the planter boxes on the porch planted and some new variegated sedum into the front cactus bed. We also weeded the cactus bed. Still a bit more to do. Now I can go buy some more plants.

After I rest a bit, its time for a shower. Rich is thawing out some spaghetti sauce and meatballs that I froze. Add a salad from the garden to that. These last two hot days did wonders from the green beans. They germinated in record time. I had a major scare. I opened the gate on the front porch and went down to the yard and didn't notice that Molly had bolted out the gate and was racing towards the highway. When I saw her and screamed her name, she was just a few feet from the highway. She stopped in her tracks and turned to look at me. I pointed to the porched and said, "Get back on the porch!" She raced back onto the porch. Thank goodness. After that, whenever I open the gate, she runs as far away from it as possible.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Verleen, I would have been petrified. You sure have her trained well. So glad she turned around and came back.

Doris, love the daffodils. We missed seeing them this year, came back too late. Didn't see our ***** willows either, darn.

Extremely hot here today, 90s with a strong wind. Strong storms tonight, but they are supposed to be north of here. It just seems to me that it's the right weather here for bad things.

Our neighbor brought over another crown of broccoli for us along with radishes. We don't plant radishes, they just don't grow well for us. We are very lucky as to our neighbor. Lots of homes here are falling down with no one in them...............very depressed area. Anyway, we'll have the broccoli tonight along with steak on the grill. Didn't get to do the steak last night.

Lainey, IMO Hellman's mayonnaise is the best thing ever, except for potato chips/dip. Love Hellman's. I'm making deviled eggs to take to the pot luck at the bar tomorrow, I don't use anything but Hellman's and a little pickle juice. MMMM

Ginny, how nice of your neighbor, bringing you fresh broccoli, I'd be happy, but dh wouldn't eat any, but that's ok, it keeps well We like Best Food's mayo too , I wonder why they keep the old names and don't decide on just one though? That is sad about the houses falling in disrepair, that seems to be happening all over the place, our little towns are dying up here, and not slowly.

Verleen, glad you caught your Molly's attention in the nick of time, good grief!! Hope you can catch up on your rest now. We quit doing those danged hanging baskets, too much trouble to climb up and down to water, and those special wands didn't work well, either.

Lainey, hope you got your yard stuff done and came back into the house sooner than later.

I've yakked on the phone with Texas son, grandson has an ear infection, but they got it quickly taken care of yesterday, their doctor actually is open on Saturday's, I was surprised to hear that. Need to wash dishes and then it's time to yak with my mother. Leftovers for dinner.

Mary, sorry for the sadness this day brings to you, but memories are worth something, sending hugs , not enough.

Laundry is almost done, so I'm off.

Just watched "My Week with Marilyn". It's rated R, but I don't know why. Anyways, I wasn't crazy about it.
I, too, use Hellman's mayonnaise and also their Sandwich Spread. Down here, they advertise another brand so much that I bought a jar. (My mind just blanked out and I can't think of the name). I hated it so much that I threw out the whole jar. Is it Duke's?

Oh Mary, sorry for those sad feelings today. I understand how you feel.

DD ran the marathon this morning. All our downtown streets were closed off. It took her 4hrs 11mins, so she was happy with her time. We were at the finish line waving and applauding all the runners. The Kenyans all did extremely well of course. People were from all over even from Boston.
The weather was fine, not too hot earlier for the start. DD was up at 4am and had to be there for 6am to get their bibs numbers and such. The race started at 7am. We went for around 9:30a.m. The crowds were so thick. I was glad to get home. I got home around 2:30 and just walked the dog.

Oh my Verleen, I am so glad Molly listened to your command, that would scare me too.

Love those Daffs Doris. Thank you for starting us off today.

Lainey, I have planted some seeds that a DGF has given me this year. I will be afraid to pull weeds until I know which are the flowers. WTGG! on that weeding.

Anne, hope you enjoy that Spy movie and that your DGS did a good job on your lawns.

Waving to All and hope to bbl...

Hi Everyone,

Hope all the Florida gals are okay and anyone else that may be in the storm's way. I was just watching the annual Memorial Day special on PBS and they announced mid-way that the crowds were to evacuate due to the weather. They finally turned off the live feed altogether and put on last year's show for viewers to watch. I guess they weren't taking any chances. I've heard getting those tickets take a really long time. What a disappointment for the show to get cancelled.

Be careful ladies!

Michele
