Good Sunny Sunday Morning Linda and All,
Great to see those Falls and the Finger lakes region. Good choice to live there Linda. What are the taxes like in that area? We have the start of a pretty and sunny day again up here. Seems the wind has dropped so that always makes it a few degrees warmer. Talk later...hope to bbl... |

Good morning. Thanks for opening the door Linda.
Hi SuSun and those to come in.
I have peeping sun in and out so far today. More gardening on tap as it sure feels good to have the desk time well under control. Simplify, simplify! A laundry and dishwasher run sometime today as well. 38 years ago about now I was giving birth to my little girl. She is the biggest and brightest jewel in my crown... I must tell her that. I ordered a Editable Arrangement to be delivered today and will take take her my pearls and rubies ring that she "borrowed" once as she has a outfit it goes with. I will also call her when I am sure they are not still sleeping in. Gladys, I'll take an order of that southern fried sun but will keep my 60 degrees to go with it. Have a great day all. bbl

We are going to enjoy 90 degrees today. Someone turned on the air during the night, and I woke up chilly. I live with two hot chicks I guess. DD and DS My daughter and sister.....When I'm comfortable they are sweating. Hope everyone is ready for a peaceful Sunday. Keeping my fingers crossed for one here. Glenda

Good morning,
DD has fixed my computer. It will limp along until the new one we ordered yesterday comes in. One fan is not working so it gets really hot. Keys are falling off. This computer has been puppy chewed, dropped, baby peed. Dropped again. It has split open and DD fixed it. But this time it is beyond fixing. Took all day to finally come back home and order the one I said lets get online. HA...two Virgos trying to get something bought without looking at every option. Even the sales guy told DD to buy the one online. They were using all those computer words and he looked duly impressed and said that is a great deal...might just buy that one myself! So that is the one I got. Shipping here next week. Happy birthday to Ila. What a sweetie she is. Plan to put my feet up till time to meet an old friend who happens to live in the area. We go back to about kindergarten but haven't seen each other since we were 14. Facebook is a great tool for keeping and finding old friends. Much love to all of you, Anne |

Good morning everyone. Our BarBQ went well. Very warn Saturday - so the pool was well used. Still have some cleaning up to do here as I was too tired to finish it last night.
Looks like it will be another gorgeous day here. The plan is to watch as others get the veggie garden hoed, mulched and tomato plants in the ground. Have a lovely day!!! |

Good morning all, finally a good night's sleep. I got to thinking that my problem could be I was overheating so I hauled out the fan and, sure enuf, I slept like a babe. BUT, the bad news is I've found all the weight I lost so I'm back to where I started four weeks ago...AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! So, I've got to go to the ****** and figure out where I've gone wrong. I've even stepped up the movement I've been doing. Gotta lose it this time, doc is talking about Medifast and I don't want to do that.
Loved New York, I spent two years at West Point at the USMA, great job but we never made it into the Finger Lakes District, one of my big regrets of my life. Later I had a Gunny friend who was from Buffalo, so I regretted not going up there, too. That was the good think about moving in the military, you got to stay in one place long enough to get to know it, but we were never able to see all we wanted...Guess, I'll add that to the bucket list. No racing today, NASCAR was night races this week, so no plans for the day. Y'all have a great day. Mary Last edited by Mssarge; 04-29-2012 at 08:48 AM.. |

Good morning All,
Have a nice, quiet day planned - wash the car, get a watch battery, go to the gym, experiment with a new LC zucchini muffin recipe, and try out a Qi Qong exercise class later this afternoon. Waving to everyone and sending best wishes, Michele |

Good Morning, I'm just in between doing the bike and eating breakfast and back on the bike, lol, you guys are out running already.....
![]() It got down to 39 this morning, and the sun is out and looks to be a good weather day. Happy Birthday to Ila, Lainey, isn't it funny how we remember the birth of the kids every year, no matter how many years it has been? Do what you gotta do today, folks, it's all up to you to keep yourself going, no one can do it for you. ![]() Take care.

G'day everyone. Welcome Joan. Nice to have you here.
Linda (Loves Montana), if I do go to Rochester, I will let you know, so we can meet. We're not sure of what healing path we are taking yet. Maria, the therapist, was very helpful. We may be going to Syracuse first. I will know more about that on Monday. Rich is at the grocery store, buying cleaning supplies. This Tuesday is the first Tuesday that Rich is cleaning, instead of our housekeeper. He says we need the money we pay her, plus he feels he can do a better job. I will help to the extent I can. I've already started cleaning one of the toilets. Do a little and rest awhile. No ideas about dinner. What are you doing for dinner? Golly it has been really cold here. Ginny and Gladys, stop hogging the sun please.

Happy Birthday to Ila who shares my darling sistser's birthday today. Hope they both have a stupendous day celebrating.
Thanks for getting us started off today Linda. Gladys I would be glad to share but we only have sun some of the times today. Cloudy with rain in the forecast and we sure do need some. I am watering my little trees today. Glenda it sure is difficult to get everyone satisfied in the temperature department. I find church to be very chilly and others are sweating. Father gets lots of complaints both ways. Anne will you get a lap top or a desk computer? Maybe you should get a notebook, wonder if that is the next step. I would get another desk top if this one bites the dust. So nice to hear from everyone and see how you all are enjoying your Sundays. I plan on reading here in a min.

Welcome, Joan.OK, girls, the sun is on it's way to you. Cloudy here today but humid, 90 degrees, but we have a breeze so no a/c on yet. I just took pictures of our alligator, he's about 15' away from the house, right here at the bank of our pond. He's a big boy. Guess he came to say goodbye. I've spent the day packing and cleaning refrigerator and bathrooms. Tomorrow is pack up the car and Tuesday.......on our way. We will will seriously be watching the Weather Channel, last we heard it didn't sound too good in the middle of the country early in the week. Doug, the motorcycle thing sounds like fun, bet you could see alot of "anything and everything" right? Anne, enjoy the time with your friend. How nice to meet up after all these years. Ginny |

Went shopping for nothing and spent a lot getting it!
Did need the "flea stuff" for between the shoulder blades for my fur people SuSun and Jane. Got SuSun a little bed for the trunk she curls up on when I am in the computer room. It is just her size. She was so young when she had the kittens that she stayed very small. Got lots more really cheap flip flops as I live in them and they wear out fairly quickly. I need the very thick soles and these were on sale so I grabbed 4 pair. I like being taller too and am supprised every time I step down out of them. Got some Calcium/Vit. D gummies that taste so good I have to forbid myself extra ones. A bowl for Anita that seems just the right size as the one she uses is chipped and cracked so I am afraid it will burst apart and she or Freddie will get burned. Some artificial flowers that are so bright and cheery and cheap I went for them. A soda and a piece of cake... that is it I think.
Now for dinner I am steaming some brocolie and whole string beans in some chic. stock and will use a divider dish I love to use and add some salt and butter and that will be my supper in a hour or so. I cut the heat off now and they will be just right when I am ready to eat. Oh, I bought 3 darling sparklie shower caps that are soooo ME. I also found a "resin" wicker lounger that is tiny and perfect for my TV room but it cost 169.00 ouch- I will hope to catch it on sale and see when the 3rd Soc. Sec. monies is deposited. I really, really want it so much. Looking forward to tonights TV love, love "Once Upon A Time" and I think "The Apprentice" is a jolly hoot and a howl. Going to call Ila now or in a few to catch her before they head out for a D.C. restaurant that revolves like the one in New York. I drank a lot of Bloody Marys in that place. bbl |

Got a call at 4 p.m. to get ready to be picked up to go out to eat @ Lee's Southern Fried Chicken. So, hurriedly changed my clothes and they picked me up. A man and a woman who go out to eat together very often. They are both widowed. Anyways, it was very good and it was good to get out.
Back now to watch episode 2 of Downton Abbey that I got from Netflix. |

Evening everybody.
Hi Susan, yes it is a beautiful area. NY Real Estate are some of the highest in the US. This place is a land lease community so our taxes are quite a bit less than the old house. That was around $5 or 6 thousand a year. Here they are under $2,000. Lainey, a very Happy Birthday to your lovely Daughter. She will really enjoy the Edible Arrangement and then will jump for joy with the lovely give of the pearls and rubies ring. LOL Glenda, it's funny how our body thermostats are set at different comfort levels. Hope you had a very nice Sunday. Julie, happy to hear you enjoyed that fried chicken dinner. ![]() Anne, yes Facebook is wonderful for keeping in touch with old friends and relatives. Mary, why not post your menus on the daily thread and ask for some of us to look at it. Hope you are staying away from processed products and are staying with natural proteins and dark green vegetables. La Joan, how nice that you can sit back and watch everyone plant your garden. That's a luxury that many don't have. Babette, Hope you have a productive and fun volunteer day at the Garden? Michelle, hope your quiet day went as planned. Wow Doug, that is a lot of Motorcyclists. Good for the local economy, I'm sure. Hope they were well behaved. Doris, we beat you in low temps. Got below freezing here last night but will be 80 by Friday. Crazy weather.Verleen, hopefully we can meet up if you come this way. There has to be a place along the way. Good for Rich for doing the cleaning. Nice to have help and someone who probably does a better job. Loretta, you are right. A desk top is the way to go. They last a heck of a lot longer than laptops. Laptops are inexpensive enough these days so people most people can get one of those too. Oh Ginny, please do share the photo of that big alligator with us. Wow, it must be pretty frightening to see him in your own pond.

Hello again,
Ginny, how long does it take you guys to get back to Iowa? Do you stop at the same motels along the way back? I'm just wondering, when we go to Texas, we tend to stay at the same places and take the same route. Wishing you good weather, and also would like to see the alligator in all his glory. Waving at everyone else and hoping you had a good day. Me, I'm too lazy tonight to write more, not meaning to be rude. ![]() Verleen, bet Rich will do a great job of cleaning for you guys!! |
