Good Morning All

It's going to be in the high forties and sunny.
I've read that this area is running 9* higher this year.
It has seemed warmer than that would indicate.
But, I'll accept the science over the anecdotal.

Linda: I that room.
It makes me feel happy ... just looking at the picture.
I can only imagine how happy it feels being in it.

Good Morning,

Jezzie, I love that room also- FUN!
Gladys, took me the full year Jan.13,2011 and I'll always have some issues but honorable ones that I can live with.
Anne, for sure "THE CAT WROTE IT"! Gladys nailed it for sure AND certain.
Finishing my oatmeal and coffee (half decaff) and no more lingering on this time waster of a machine that is now equal to another appendage.
Send brocures- we'll all move to where you are. Hee, hee

rushing off to the high school breakfast.
They might make a decision tomorrow on whether our high school in town closes, lots of worried people.

Take care, gang.
Supposed to rain later today, but who knows?

Good Morning All,

Another bright day again up here. It is cooler today though. We had a taste of Spring yesterday it rose to plus +5 degrees. A GF is leaving tomorrow for a month in Trinidad to visit with her family, lucky gal to visit an island like that. By the time she returns the Winter will be coming close to the end. I can feel Spring fever rousing.
Hope to get out for a walk in the woods this aft with DD and her dog. I desparetely need the exercise, fresh air and light. All good for the spirts.
Another GF is down in Florida until April with her DH. They will be there until April. She wrote to say a little rain this week so no golfing for them.
Better drag the vacuum out and get my floors cleaned again.
Waving to All and hope to bb later...

Thanks Jezzie and Lainey, I needed color and that one makes me happy. I also painted my bedroom, right across the hall, that color too.

This weather is incredible, but watch out. We may pay dearly for this. I remember those St. Patrick Day blizzards that hit us every few years.

Oh Susan, can you stow away and go to Trinidad with your friend?

Doris, enjoy that breakfast and tell us all about it when you get back. Got my fingers crossed that the school will NOT close.

I like the color in your room, also, Linda. Everything in this house is some kind of off white, whatever they had after the flood, the painters didn't have alot of choice, and the price went up if you changed for each room.

The school closing thing is having more meetings going on, now they extended into March, and people from the state are coming up. The rules for the urban areas don't work for these rural areas of small schools far apart.

Susan, you do sound as though you have spring fever already, good for you! I'm thinking we haven't had a winter, and just the other day, wondered if we even had a Christmas? Have a good day, yanking that vacuum around!

Hi Jezzie, Lainey, bet Julie and Anne and Ginny are enjoying all kinds of fresh fruit in abundance now. I'd love some strawberries You don't even have to cover them with chocolate, lol.

Waving at you all posting later on.

My boy's 23rd birthday today! He took the day off and is home and wants me to cook dinner for he and his girlfriend. Ugh - I am already having trouble ignoring the cake sitting on the table. So I got to quick get vacuum moving too; and come up with a meal plan. I am spoiled from, only having to cook for the guys on the weekend. Have a great day all - I have got to get moving today; I am in slow motion for some reason!

Your friend was right Susan, showers predicted for a good part of the week. We had showers all morning, so DH couldn't golf. He was going out with some friends, hopefully he can get out tomorrow, his regular golfing day.

I'm washing clothes and that's about it. Had to think of something to take to the pot luck tomorrow evening that's easy since I'll be meeting Julie. Decided on stuffing, I can drop all that in a pot after I get home tomorrow. It's a pot luck for the people from Pennsylvania and New York.

I was at Walmart picking up some butter for the stuffing this morning and Doris, they had huge green peppers for 78 cents. Surprised me, their vegetables usually don't excite me, but I came home with one.

Linda, wanted to tell you that DH is reading Greedy Bastards. I think you said you were reading that also.

That's a great price, Ginny. I thought the bag of 4 orange ones for $2.39 was good, but it was in the "older and special produce" shopping cart, where they put stuff that needs to be sold quickly, at our local market. They had russett potatoes in bags, for baking, about 6 potatoes in a bag, for $1.

Susun, if you feel the urge to go south just do it. Your DH would have wanted it that way.

Good morning America.

Nothing like a trip south to rejuvenate the body. Trinadad sounds great. We are heading for Cabo for a few weeks on Sunday. We are looking forward to some 80 degree days.

The meteorologists and scientists are saying La Nina and global warming trends are messing up the weather patterns on earth. I am beginning to believe it whole heartedly these days.

Yep, my almost 99 year old mother still regrets she didn't go to Hawaii one more time, or Mt. Rushmore, or the Amish area in Pennyslvania, signed up for those trips, but they were cancelled, back when she lived in senior apartments. She tells me almost every Sunday, "go where you can, when you can, while you can", and some German phrases, too, meaning the same thing. Only health and money is keeping us down to a slow trickle now.

Something to think about, anyway.

Off to finish fixing up dinner. Still no rain, just lots of grey clouds. Dang that Nina anyway, gonna go knock her on her butt soon!

Colleen, Happy birthday to your son. Where does the time go?
My oldest will be 50 tomorrow.

Doris, Your mom's a wise woman. Too bad your mother didn't get to go to the places she really wanted to see.

Ginny, Yes, I am reading that book. Quite an eyeopener. Hope your DH is enjoying it.
Did you get to check out the Home Depot web site for that flooring? They also install at some very reasonable prices.

Larry, enjoy that trip to Cabo and take lots of pictures to share.
