..... Youngest offspring - my DD-41 Tara - and her SO Dave .....

Good Morning .....

Gladys: Safe trip.
Sorry for your loss. I admit that it always amazes me when people live til ninety.
My oldest living relative (maternal grandmother) made it to age seventy-five.

No plans for today so far. Well ..... Except for reading a bit of each of three books.

Good morning-

Great photo Jezzie. Love the dolphins. Where was it taken?

Please hold the good thought for our friend Joe's mother Bess. She is 71 and called him this morning after going to the ER last night with "heart problems." That's all the info I have at this point. She is very active and in great shape, so this is a shocker.

Gladys, my condolences. Even when it is expected it's hard to lose someone.

This led me to think of my great aunt Mamie. She religiously walked 32 blocks per day in her eighties. I feel like a slug in comparison! As I recall, she was 94 when she passed on.

Oh my, gotta go walk the dogs.

Have a lovely day all - will probably check in later.

-Louise

Weezie: That picture was taken at Discovery Cove in Orlando, Florida.
I have a bunch - even one of Tara kissing a dolphin on the *lips*.

Positive thoughts going out to Bess.

My 2nd ex had an Aunt who was still drinking a water glass of straight bourbon every day.
In her late eighties. I met her. Still lived alone, shopped and took care of her apartment.

Good morning all, Gladys, sorry about your aunt...I have an aunt in FL who is 94 and still driving. She is just now "feeling her age"...I lived close to her for about 4 years but moved back to GA to help my daughter with her new baby. She is forever thinking that I did it to dessert her in her time of need. I know it is the age that is talking she really couldn't mean that. The baby was a blister yesterday (and I mean that in the most loving way!!) so I wasn't around too much but I did lurk when I had time. She will be here at noon today and I have to run to the store.
Eating is still on track. I think I am over doing the cheese a bit so I am cutting back on that some. I have to say I am pleased with the overall progress, however. I do not weigh so have to go by the clothes.
BBL...hugs all around.

Oh to be at Discovery Cove today..........!

We are expecting heavy rain on top of this 9" of snow we have on the ground. We have made sure our "cellar" has nothing on the floor, we get water down there easily. I call it a "cellar" because it is in NO way a basement............dirt floor, etc.

We are going out today to either Des Moines to the Botanical Gardens (at least it will be humid/warm like Discovery Cove, ahhhh) or to a place called Red Rock where Bald Eagles have taken up residence.

Gladys, my good thoughts are with you.

Louise, good thoughts to you as well.

Oh, everything is still covered with the 1/4" of ice and we had fog last night so now everything is covered with that too..........geesh.

Loved the dolphin picture Jezzie, my ex husband won a free trip to Atlantis while we were married and we got to "swim" with the dolphins there, a wonderful experience.
Your daughter exudes such happiness in all your pictures, "you did good."

just checking in also...

wellness wishes for all needing them and caring being sent to those with losses as well.
I just had one cold this fall but it was a doozy. I ment cold as in Brrrrr. I usually do not even get one cold per year.
Lots of rain here and light gray skies so at least the gloom is not that dark kind. In NY this white gray sky would mean big time snow.
I want to go to the store today but do not feel like it so I maybe won't. One store by the General Hospital as a bodacious health food isle with ALL vegan items you can imagine so I want to complete my stock on hand. I got the 7 Day Adventist cookbook "The Ten Talents" and it is awesome so I am really getting into this WOE and already feel really clean and healthy. Clinging to coffee though but the rest of the eating is spot on.

Lainey, join that church group, there would be lots of people to be friends with, and all those potlucks would be food that is "safe" for you to eat too.

Finally got power back on at 10 pm last night, thankfully. Still snowing and sun is trying to shine.

I'm glad to hear Eileen's mother is coming along ok.

Sorry to hear of elderly people having hard times with their health, I guess it comes with the aging process, and we can only try to "beat it back" as best we can. Glady's, how is your husband's mother doing?

Fixing game hen for supper, and yes, gotta work on the cantaloupe and brussel sprouts later on. Boiled eggs are done though. Time to climb Mt. Washmore and Mt. Dishmore today.

What fun to play with the Dolphins. I'd still be afraid to get into the water, lol.

Later folks.

OMG what a great idea Doris- I will try to find some local church. I have an Uncle that lives with a life long member of that Church and she is from the part of the country where they are all from. They live in Fla. now but used to live in Eliz. City, NC where she wants to move back to.
Love the Mt. Washmore/Mt. Dishmore ref.

Our dentist and his wife offer classes in veggetarian cooking once a month, a person can go and learn and doesn't have to belong to their church either, the food is very good, and the people are great. They do have their own stores that sell the food frozen in fact, but not up here.

What a quiet night on here, one would think the whole west coast is being flooded out or something............ The rest of you are tucked safely in your beds, I hope.

See you tomorrow.
