'Good Morning' People,

Tonight is New Years Eve again. Will be celebrating this one too. I'm covering the bases.
Maternal Ukrainian Grandmom was born on the 'century turning' Russian New Year (01/14/1900)

Judy: What an attractive and happy looking couple. ..... Where in Africa is he stationed?

Doris: Laureen, Tara, Darren and I are dancing fools. Ok ... so only one of us is actually a fool. lol.

The kids are really good. I danced in a club with Darren for one of my birthdays.
People formed a circle and clapped to the music. He dances like John Travolta.
(Back then he was the DeeJay in that club.)

Loretta: A Happy Birthday to Leah. An older woman --- Kiran was five on January 8th.

Yes, good morning, time for a "quickee".

Happy Birthday to Leah, already "6", my goodness!!

I enjoyed the photo of the Hoar frost that Janie posted too.

Jezzie, your family sounds something like some members of mine, I love that your son was a "DJ" at one time!!!

The sun is coming out today, wowee!!! And I have indoor chores to do, lol.

They announced that Safeway is having Roma tomatoes for 47 cents a lb, I need to get to that store at some point in the next two days folks!! I love those tomatoes. Maybe I should check where they are coming from???

Pleasant moments today folks.

Hello everyone. I wondered if any of you guys have any suggestions for Induction breakfast as it is getting hard to look cheese omlets in the face every single morning!!
I did find a meatball breakfast recipe that I'm going to try this afternoon. But any help is greatly appreciated.

Loretta, how did it go with Bob yesterday?

I wonder what time Verleen got home yesterday also??

Eileen, how was that 2nd interview, did they ask you sort of "weird" questions, sometimes they do that, so I have heard. It's been eons since I've done that kind of interviewing. I bow down to you and anyone else doing that kind of thing right now, Louise I think is looking too.

Finished most of the bike time, dh is reading a huge book about the Navy in the living room, so I can take some moments online to check stuff out.

Need to cut some geraniums back in the kitchen window, they are getting those thick stems now and need a trim.

Lamb chops for dh for supper, and salmon of some sort for myself. Veggies are ready this time to reheat.

Neighbor is home from the hospital tomorrow, so someone sent a hospital bed, but they just dropped it off and drove off, so we need to go over and see if we can help put that sucker together..........isn't it always something??

Mornin!

a snowy scene from Canada.
In the upper 20's here today and it feels like open the windows and turn off he heat weather. After so long of sub zero temps 28 can feel pretty darn good.

Lots of housecleaning to do today so won't stay long.
Do any of you watch American Idol? We saw one or two auditions last night that seem very promising,

Have a good day.

good morning -

Down another two pounds this morning and wondering if something wrong with my scale. Can hardly wait to try scale at gym this afternoon. I had a candy bar yesterday!!

Am all packed for trip - but keep waking up remembering "something" I forgot. Got an e-mail from a cyberfriend already on the ship and am quite upset as the airconditioning does NOT seem to be working and I am a cold weather person. Hate heat.

Oh well, nothing I can do but wait.....

Begete, I wondered about your allergies too when you go on this trip, and all the people wearing after shave and perfumes and other bad smells? Do you take prescriptions with you, or just alot of meds, just in case? That is not good about the AC, but not unusual I guess. Some friends that went to Sweden and back said the airlines seem to be "cutting back" on tissue in the restrooms too............in case you don't remember to take stuff in your purse, oh the purses we have to take on these things, lol.

tate, I never did any induction on any plan I was on, but I've been eating veggie loaded egg subs breakfasts for 5 years, find I need the protein and the veggies to fill me up so the rest of the day goes smoothly as far as not over indulging later in the day. What does your book say, does it have any ideas, or do you get some magazines about health, they usually have breakfast ideas that are healthy and quick to fix too, plus they give calorie counts, which are very important. I wish you continued success!!!!

I gotta go boil eggs, come to think of it.

Hello Anne!

I am a one week newbie and I have been mixing my beaten eggs eggs with sausage links cut up in it - then I microwave bowl. Quick and easy to eat before I dash off to work. Then I have an Atkins snack bar for mid morning break.

Hang in there!

Nice and warm today with rain on the way.
Breakfast doesn't have to be breakfast food, try leftovers.
Doris, hope you get your tomatoes,I only buy 4/5 so would not pay me to drive very far.
Jezzie those are not Walmart decorations,so nice, don't think I've ever been in a store that sold such nice ones.
Judy, that looks very cold but pretty(as long as I'm not there).

Hi all,

We went to Walmart today and came home with an unplanned purchase.........a DVD blueray thing. It just seemed like the time to get one. Hope we can figure out how to hook it up, etc.

It's up to 38 degrees right here, right now! Unbelievable..........you can just begin to see the road, more of the same tomorrow.

Anne, have you been to lc website called Linda's low carb recipes? It's a great place to get ideas. I have alot of quiches that I make for breakfast.........eggs, cheese, veggies,meat...........whatever. They are really good.

Begete, I envy you going on a trip this time of year. I hope you have a wonderful time.

Oh, more purchases at this house, we have bought an '09 SUV. DH's been driving a 99 Windstar, it was time. I think we get it Saturday. We're excited.

Anne, you might try the pumpkin bake, it's in Linda Sue's recipes. I'm not a breakfast fan myself.
I thought the interview went ok. If it's meant to be it will be.
Ran another ad in for a caretaker and received many responses....so I need to get on those.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Those pictures are amazing. So beautiful!

I just realized that I posted to yesterday's thread this morning. I was tired and still am. We just got back from dinner, JoAnns and the grocery store.

Doris, I got in at 10:30 pm last night. I spent 3 hrs sitting in the Orlando airport waiting for my connection. Long day, esp since I'm not able to get to restrooms and restaurants. I did bring a sandwich but ate it for breakfast.

Jezzie, I love Darren's new acquisitions. Will he ever run out of room? Happy birthday to Kiran!

Judy, that is a pretty picture. Not frost though as I see summer plants and flowers, lilies in the water, etc. The black and white effect is stunning.

Hoping Eileen's interview went well.

Gosh, I have to sign off and I'm not done. I keep falling asleep while typing. I'm tired of correcting all the gobbly-gook I'm typing. Later....maybe.....

Happy Birthday to Leah!

Gladys, don't any of your vets just take a little blood and send it away for sexing?

Doris, I forgot to tell you about the airport security. I saw no difference from what they have been doing for the last few years. In fact, the security at Orlando was very lax.

Gotta go - Cathy's on the phone.

My scale is correct - or else the scale at the gym is wrong, too.

Doris - we eat most meals outside and avoid other people :-)

Verleen, these are older breeder birds,if vet sexed then he can see other thing and correct if needed.I can do the blood myself but mostly on younger birds that may not be used for breeding.Sometimes people just want to know the sex.
This vet didn't call back either, try again tomorrow.DH doesn't want to drive the New Orleans so the vet school in Baton Rouge is it.If that fails I will do the blood but will not be as satisfied.
Had a nice quite day,DH and DD went to see the Indians but I didn't feel like it.DD lost,DH won a couple of hundred. They had fun.
