Good morning. Jezzie, another great shot of Darren and Kim's wedding. In the photo, Kim is looking so lovingly at Darren.
Its nasty out this morning. I hope it clears up as predicted. I want to go outside. If it doesn't, I guess I'll go shopping for a raincoat slicker for Seattle. I was told by someone that lives there that a slicker with a hood is better than an umbrella. I really want to get outside and work in the garden. for sun. |

Mornning all.
Just a quick check in. Everyone else is lounging in bed late this morning. I made cinnamon rolls and have them raising for breakfast and they're raising. We went to My. Ranier yesterday. It was beautiful! Had sushi last evening for the first time ever. Not bad. Saw Pike's Place Thursday before we left Seattle for my niece's house in Graham. I think I've walked 10 miles since getting here. Having a great time! HAPPY FOURTH TO EVERYONE!!! |

Good morning and Happy Fourth to all-
I am dithering this morning. I have several patterns I want to cut out today - summer shirts and a pair of linen pants - but can't figure out which to start with. Need to get DH to fix the washer. One of the springs that supports the tub has slipped its mooring. It's not a difficult repair - just tedious to take the thing apart and put it back together. DH has done it before. I hate to ask him to work on a holiday, but we don't have any plans for today, so... Tomorrow DH is playing at a private lake community up in CT. It's an annual event and so much fun. People of all ages and a community BBQ with the band playing all afternoon. Lots of people get up and dance in the sand. I just have to be sure to bring my sunscreen. Last year I got a sunburn sitting in the shade - reflection off the water I think. For once, it is not raining. Yippee! Gotta go tie up the tomato plants and then on to the sewing projects. Have a great day everyone! -Louise |

Good morning, afternoon, evening and 4th of July to all,
The wind must have been aimed right at my house last night from Norfolk because I am positive I could clearly hear the fireworks from the "Harbour Fest of Tall Ships" at the newly renovated Town Point Park in Norfolk on the Elizabeth River.
Verleen, the double dose of thyroid meds still only came to a low dose of 60 mgs 2 times per day. Before thyroid test came into being Dr.s treated the symptoms and patients did much, much better than treating the lab numbers and of course did much better on natural meds that the chemicals now used as hypothyroid disease does not do well with ANY chemicals being taken of any kind so an organic diet is recommended and NO generic medications as they are all made up of chemicals. Thyroid meds are supposed to not be taken for 3 days prior to testing by labs and on any given day of taking thyroid meds there will be periods of lows and spikes (spikes actually into hyperthyroid) so the numbers at best on lab testing are WRONG. So you can see I am not being unreasonable or doing anything dangerous. Armour (which I take) comes in up to (and even higher maybe) 300 mgs so my dose is considered low. Then there is the T3 which most Dr.s treat only when the T4 needs to be treated along with the T3. I took Synthroid PLUS taking Cytomel as I have a goiter. I had to insist on the Cytomel by pointing out the goiter on my MRI or CAT (? had both). Then I have had to go through the same BS with my Type 2 diabetes- when I learned my liver enzymes were elevated and climbing I took myself off a STATIN that is extremely bad for the liver....GREAT GOD IN HEAVEN I said to the Dr. and he said well your cholesterol was so high it needed the statin- well hell, I would rather have a heart attack and go quick than to die slow turning yellow. Finally it was a reasearch lab that told my Dr. to take her off the statin NOW. My new diabetes med. does not work through the liver and I am doing excellent on Januvia. (there was a mass recall of 100 mgs dosages of Armour but that did not include my dosage of 60 mgs). I am sorry for all this medical posting and I know full well that everyone is different but I do know what MY needs are and am willing to try to do what is the best treatment in MY case. It is a very pretty day outside and I best get out there and water as I did not do that yesterday and I am betting I have pretty red tomatoes, peppers and eggplants to pick. I had to take Imodium Advanced yesterday as I over did the ripe figs on thursday (they were like honey and I just kept eating them right off the tree warm). 5 is my official limit per 24 hours to not pay an awful price for eating too many. Then more garage piddling and maybe some house piddling as well. No push as it is a holiday after all. I may do a Sam's run as I still need more cat food, check on my eye glasses (where the hell are they) and I am out of Benefiber which I do not ever want to be out of that stuff. bbl. Gosh, some beer and hot dogs would sure hit the spot. Oh, don't forget the pot. salad, cole slaw and baked beans.... I got the melons at least so I can skip the rest I suppose. Elaine![]()

Doris,so sorry to hear that, hope they find and fix the problem right up.
It looks a little cloudy out, sure wish it would rain or even just stay cloudy. I brought the little bird to it's new family, now waiting to hear if it settled down and ate. We went to have seafood last night,DH enjoyed it,too salty for me.He is getting along with his choppers ok but not like your own. I wonder if Doris' DH had a stroke.Loretta any educated guess. My heart is pounding thinking of the stress they are under. BBLater

OMG DORIS, I am praying with all my heart for your DH and you. I do hope that he will be all right.
God Bless and keep you both during this crisis. I am not Catholic but am lighting a white candle for him and will keep it near me throughout the day as I go from place to place throughout the day around the house and yard. All my love and prayers. Elaine |

I'm so glad that Doris' DS and DIL are taking her to the hospital. It's not good to drive long distances when you're frantic, as I'm sure Doris is right now. Does anyone know how far the hospital is from Doris' house?
We're having a pretty good day in BB CT. We were supposed to have a nice, clear sunny day but, of course, we've had heavy clouds most of the morning and the humidity is much higher than it should have been according to the forecasts. I've had to delay my plans to hang out a load of towels until tomorrow. I don't want to take the chance everything will get rained on and it's so humid that I think they'll take forever to dry. I can't wait until I get my dryer fixed! My DC called this morning to see if we were going to her 4th of July party. I simply do not feel like going. I want to sit and vedge. DC lives abut 45 minuts away and I don't relish the thought of driving home late at night on back roads on a holiday. She has about 250 coming so I don't think she'll miss me. I would like to see the fireworks, though. I just love fireworks. Can't get Doris off my mind. I sure hope everything turns out OK. k

Kris, someone posted on another forum that Doris is 3 1/2 hrs from the hospital. I'm staying home and vegging too.
