Doesn't it bug you to spill food, man oh man!!! dh and I have had some funny spills lately too, and in public, one was just getting coffee at a Cinna-Bon place, just coffee, and it spilled all over dh's favorite Hawaiian Shirt and the worst was the front of his pants, before a doctor appt. I'll say no more...

Sunday

B: one zucchini, cauliflower, mushrooms, garlic minced in PAM. 1/2 cup egg subs added. f/f FETA crumbles w/tomato and Basil added on top.
coffee

L: 2 slices 45 calorie Sara Lee wheat bread, hummus, Jarlsberg reduced fat 50 calorie slice Swiss Cheese and shaved turkey mesquite flavor sandwich. 2 H/B eggs and half a large tomato sliced and diced in a bowl.
coffee

Snack: 70 calorie Skinny Cow "dipper" on a stick and coffee

D: leftover roast chicken from Costco, 5 ounces and lots of cauliflower. Need to steam the brussel sprouts tomorrow though. Not enough time lately.
coffee

Evening snack: No sugar added "Blue Bunny" ice cream, dh and I need some ice cream tonight!!! It hit 100.

Yes, food spillage has been a mainstay of our marriage....

My dh has taken a shine to hotdogs without buns lately also. Just mustard on them. I found some turkey ones at Costco made by Foster Farms that have low calorie counts and less fat, but taste pretty good to him.

B: one zucchine, 2 large mushrooms, in PAM, 1/2 cup egg subs. and crumbles of f/f FETA with tomato and basil. coffee

L: 45 calorie Sara Lee bread slices, shaved chicken, hummus sandwich. 2 H/B eggs. cut up tomato half left from yesterday.
coffee

Snack: Soy slender chocolate drink 70 calories

D: 2 slices pizza on thin crust and coffee and salad later on

Evening snack: strawberries in a bowl
coffee as needed

Had a nice talk with the dietitian today.

Doris, How are those hot dogs for sodium-nitrates for your DH? Glad he enjoys eating again. Your breakie sounds tasty. I love the chance to eat feta.
What did you discuss with the dietician? Just curious!

Love the funny Loretta,
you find some really good ones to start our thread.

Enjoy that jello and cream Sheila!

Yum, egg-swiss on whole wheat Jezzie!
Is it me or is your menu shrinking? LOL!

There are still wheat muffins in the cabinet, I should use them up Just haven't had the "urge" for muffins lately.

The turkey hotdogs do have sodium nitrates in them, that is probably why they taste good to dh

We wanted a refresher course with the dietitian, portion control is the thing that is so tough for my dh, and myself too. He needs to eat more veggies, but is not excited about them at all. I need to drink more milk, have a problem with that, and I find yogurt just not appealing anymore. So that needs to be still worked on in this household. I showed her the Fullbars, she said not for my dh at all, and for me to cut one in half, so it's 80 calories, and have it for my snack at snack time. But she has clients that eat those regular candy bar snack size ones, and they work the same way, but it seems to be more helpful to people who usually eat them. Anyway, whatever works, that is what a person should do sums it up. We will see her again around Christmas time.

I'm conducting a Truvia experiment with dh, to see if it helps him differently than Splenda. I will report in a few weeks. I don't know if anyone cares, lol, but I'll report anyway.

Good night!

Loretta, the Truvia I bought is the little packets that most put in coffee, but I have seen those large bags at Wal Mart, that I surmise is like the bags of Splenda for baking and cooking. The little packets are grainy looking. I made up a pitcher of lemonade for dh today, had to use 13 packets for 2 quarts of liquid. The Stevia itself regular does have bitter flavor/aftertaste, but this Truvia is supposed to be a bit different, some say it has a licorice aftertaste. It says on the packets it is twice the sweetness of 1 tsp. sugar, and it is, at first. But dh says after you drink for awhile, the product does not taste so sweet really either to him. If we think it brings his b/s readings down, I will buy those large bags, but if not, I will stick to Splenda. We are going to try it for a few weeks first though. This morning his numbers were lower though too, after having the Truvia yesterday afternoon and evening.

Tuesday

B: one zucchini, 3 mushrooms, minced garlic in PAM, 1/2 cup egg subs. added. grated parmasan cheese on top.
several coffees, black

L: 2 slices Sara Lee 45 calorie bread, shaved chicken, 50 calorie swiss cheese sandwich. 2 H/B eggs Sliced up Plum Tomato in a bowl
coffee

Snack: 20 calorie Creamsicle and 15 calorie Popsicle later on too, plus coffee

D: scrambled egg, lots of brussel sprouts
coffee

Evening snack: some strawberries and I should have a glass of f/f milk too, per the dietitian

Hi Amber! WE are not doing anything for the 4th., staying away from all the tourist spots in our county. Will be on the exercise bike as usual..........

Your dinner sounds good to me Susan!!

Loretta, those fireworks should be safe, I don't think they allow any others to be sold anymore, or is that just California? The way this state needs money though, they may sell that kind of stuff if they can squeeze tax money from the fees.

Wednesday

B: one zucchini, mushrooms, minced garlic, green onion in PAM. 1/2 cup egg subs added. crumbles of f/f FETA on top
coffee

L: 2 slices 45 calorie bread, shaved chicken, 50 calorie swiss cheese sandwich. 2 H/B eggs Roma tomato cut up in bowl.

coffee

Evening snack: strawberries, the last of them
