It's those darn allergies huh?
Hope the air clears soon for you.

DH takes Aerius 5mg. He gets good relief from that.
Loratadine 10mg is another good one, much cheaper too. I know they carry it at Walmart very good price, no need to suffer.

I've been pretty much among the missing this week. Mostly eating fruit and raw vegetables.

Next week will be more 'normal'.

Speaking of Bourbon Chicken...I had it for my meal yesterday
DH and I went on line to find a receipe at Epicurious.

Goodmorning all..didn't lose a whole pound last night but close enough to change the number I am still doing IF

Wednesdays menu:

coffee
Bourbon chicken
1C of potato salad
1 SF popsicle

Susan Doris had a Bourbon chicken sand at the Sizzler on Tuesday..got my mouth watering for it. We usually have it at those oriental resturants,at a Mall food court.
Jezzie why all the fruits and veggies this week? did I miss something?

Off to work for me. Good day all
8-25-08/ 173.2 start IF

Doris, How do you make your cream of wheat? When I did eat it , I had to make it with milk, butter, salt and one banana in it. Thanks for the craving.

I love cream of wheat. But then again I think I love about anything edible. LOL

My menu for today
b egg/sausage
l chicken salad
d chicken/or fish/ greens/salad
s if needed walnuts or pecans

I drink water, tea, coffee. No artifical sweeteners added. Really trying to stop the diet soda. I did have one yesterday with dinner. (12 oz only)

I have to find something I like to drink without any sweetener. I do drink lemon water .

Sheila, why are you trying to eliminate the artificial sweetners? Just wondering. Did you like the liquid stevia? I use several different brands of artificial sweetners. I have some powdered stevia that I am trying on different foods.

Lizzie how are you working out the IF? Just curious.

Lora what threw off your evening meal yesterday?

I take Loratadine 10mg daily for its prophylactic effect on keeping my allergies in check, even if I have no symptoms. If you have access to COSTCO, they have the best price I have seen for it. A bottle of 300 is about $12.00.

Hi Loretta, I have tried all the artificial sweeteners. They make me stall and hungry. Since I havent been using them, my weight is dropping like WOWOWOWOw. lol.

I do love my diet soda tho and at times its very hard. Also chemicals arent that great in the body either, I do notice (beside my run on sentences) that my headaches are gone, and my mind is clearer. (six days , no sweetener except one diet cola) My aches in my body are gone too, well almost, I still have a little pain once in a great while in my hip. But thats it!!! I have not tried the liquid stevia, but I have the packets of stevia plus. I do not like them in my drink, I do not like them in the sink, I do not like them in my tea, I do not like them at all you see. (copying dr.seuss, lol, from green eggs and ham) Haha.
I need to get help I think. LOL.

Isn't that great that you have someone to worry about you. I say as long as you feel healthy that is the key. Your DB (brother) sure served a lot of carbs with that steak.

Shelia, Mybe those artificial sweetners are the culprit for your headachs and other problems. Best to elimlinate them if you can and it seems to be helping you.

Henry,

I give Loratadine 10mg a day prophylactically to my dog. He has skin allergies. I get it from Walmart, yes it is the cheapest.

Loretta, It is good so far..

I get up usually about 5am but latley I have been sleeping longer cause I have been taking a 1/2 dose of Nyquil for the creeping crud..

I have 2 Cups of black coffee and then don't eat until 2:30 or 3:00pm Then I can eat until 6pm. Then the window closes..I can't believe it but I haven't cheated yet. That is my eating window. 2:30 or 3pm to 6pm.

I wanted to stay lower carb but I haven't been...maybe after this first week?? I feel I will lose more in my stomach area if I do a low carb menu..that is where I lose first on the Atkins.

Sheila, I make my Cream of Wheat with water and some salt. That's it. And I eat it when my tummy doesn't feel good, that doesn't happen often though. I don't know why I felt bad yesterday, had that sinus headache from those weeds in the valley, and they are up here too. dh also isn't doing great, but mostly due to those shots he gets, it takes him over a week to recoup. He has to have them until this December the doctor says.

Thursday's Thinkings
B: one zucchini, 3 crimini mushrooms, onion flakes, all sauteed in PAM only. 1/2 cup egg subs added. Hot salt, reg salt added. No parmasan today.
some coffee, didn't have enough time during exercise bike time

L: 2 slices whole wheat bread 40 cal. per slice,. light laughing cow cheese spread, shaved turkey, spinach leaves sandwich. 2 H/B eggs last of the Roma tomatoes cut up black coffee
SnacK: 1 sugar free ice cream bar on a stick and coffee hot
D: one Boca burger, and an egg, 2 cups steamed cauliflower
black coffee

Evening snack: several plums fresh and sugar free popsicle and coffee as needed

Sheila, I hope you can "get off" those soda drinks. It could be the sodium in there that gets you too, not the fake sugar. My daughter in law found that out, she switched to ice tea, and not sweet tea, but ice tea w/lemon.
