Finished PREDATOR by Patricia Cornwall yesterday. It was okay but not as well constructed as THE BODY FARM.

Will start MY SISTER'S KEEPER by Jodi Picoult today.

Happy Reading!

Finished VA last night. It is twice as long as it has to be. Seriously.

Started the new George afterwards, and I am so. . .happy. Janie, if you lived next door, I could save you a trip.

Finished CARELESS IN RED yesterday by Elizabeth George--a favorite author. Verdict--not up to her standards. A little disappointing.

Just started SOUTHERN CROSS by Cornwall. It's fine so far.

I just finished this one. It's by the author who wrote Kite Runner and I think it's even better than that one.

Threadjack..I'm fine, Janie..This Thursday I'm heading to Wichita (on a bustrip from the bank) to see
Neil Sedaka's play at the playhouse. It's a lunch matinee thing. My friend Dianne invited me to go. I don't know the details on what else we will be doing..She didn't seem to know, but maybe I'll call the bank...

I've started reading (again) Good Calories, Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. It is quite technical for this little mind so I have to read slooowwwllly..

I'm listening to Evil, Inc. and reading Designated Daughter: The Bonus Years with Mom.
Both are pretty good. This is my 3rd audio book in a week! I'm on a roll.

I love those audio books..The library has those little cassettes that play the whole book for ya instead of replacing tapes all the time.

Of course, downloading books from the State Library on my own player is what I love best.

I'm glad to have come across so many readers. It is one of my passions. I am currently reading "Jane and the Stillroom Maid"~Being the Fifth Jane Austen Mystery~by Stephanie Barron. These mysteries are sometimes a bit tedious but the author has quite a wonderful command of the language of the Regency time period. (If you like that sort of thing!)

I'll have to check those out here Carolyn. I've never seem them. Are they E-Readers? I always download from online too.

Speaking of Jane Austen, I just watched The Jane Austen Book Club last night. Good movie!!

I've not heard of the series, but I will check it out. Who are your favorite authors? Do share.

New here but I'm thrilled to find real readers. I know so few. I just finished "The Virgin's Lover" which I think is the best of that group so far and am starting "Hot Flashes", a novel by Nancy Thayer.
My name is Linda Sue and I will return tomorrow. Happy reading. I can't relate to listening to books on tape though. I tried it once when I was driving alone on a long trip. I read waaaayyy faster than those book readers and couldn't take the pace! Besides I like "seeing" the words.

Hello everyone! Well I just finished Pillars of the Earth and just loved it. In fact so much that I found another one of Ken Follett's books and have started that. The book is Eye of the Needle. This one has suspense, intrigue, and the dangerous machinations of the human heart. YUM! Have a great day and keep reading.
