Counting my blessings that it's not a record breaking month for high heat temperatures.

Good Morning from a very cool Pennsylvania mountainside. I'm hoping to knock off the rest of the weeding this morning before the can't see 'ems move in. You should see all the "night crawlers" I'm unearthing.

Thanks, Everyone, for the nice comments on the pics. For $1550 for both of us - - everything included, even airport/surcharges - - it was a bargain. We'd both talked about it for some time, and I was afraid if we waited any longer we might not be healthy enough to enjoy it. We are already talking about another visit.

Jezzie, what did Darren have to say about his cruise? Inquiring minds want to know. We also had thunderstorms off and on all day.

Doris, if your husband loves pools, he would be in heaven at Sunscape. And you wouldn't lose him very far. It's all close together

Loretta, everyone surely must know that there's an advantage to having someone live in a house. You must be getting so excited for the move.

Kris, for Friday. Rest assured, you are doing exactly the right thing by being there. Can you imagine her going through this phase alone?

Sheila, you are looking like the bee's knees for skating! I love skating and have taken students a couple times in the past few years. All I can say is it's a good thing I have a well-padded posterior

Dorothy, I am back on the LC wagon as of last Saturday.I agree it is amazing how much better I feel. How much do you hope to lose? I have a goal of 20 pounds by the time school starts August 28. I've even started a challenge on the challenge board called "Siren of Summer" if you'd care to join us.

Janie, I sympathize with you on the credit card thing. It once took me 6 months to get a charge taken off--countless letters, too

Gladys, sorry the inspectors are dragging their feet MT BFF just got back from Delaware Park where she cleaned up - - coming home with over a grand. All I brought home from AC was sand in my suitcase

Patty, Looking forward to getting to know you. How long have you been MIA?

Roller skating: when I was young, we spent the summers on Canadarago Lake. My grandmother owned her own summer lake house. I sure miss it..anyway, there use to be a roller skating rink a quarter mile down the road. We would skate every weekend. What a blast it use to be.
The skating rink in the pic is in Opp Al. Quite a ways away from me. I wish we lived closer I would go all the time. I LOVE IT!! Nothing in my area. We live in the woods. LOL. It took me about 20 min or so to get my skating legs to work and I was off and running. Or skating..lol. It was so freeing. Like wow, cant explain it. (oh I have a padded bottom too. lol. ) Also going to seek out your challenge.

Jezzie love that pic too. I think I have been there on one of our road trips. Grandma loved to travel and we did. Beautiful memories.

Waving to Sheila, I'd love to skate again, we used to never take them off when I lived in a small country town down near Fresno, went into the stores with them on. I still have my key on a string in fact. But no skates.

Golly Kris I sure hate to hear that for your mom. I think it will be very tough for her and for you as her care giver. to the both of you. My thoughts are with you.

Shiela I used to love to roller skate. Once a month our high school had a roller party at a local rink. It was great fun even though I never got very good at it, except for enjoying it.

Lin that price for a vacation like that sounds like a very sweet deal. Glad you and your Dh took the time for it with each other. Lots of warm memories to share.

Patty what sort of cleaning agent did you use on your carpet? I am always on the look out for "something that works".

Doris that smoke would bother me. Can you keep the smell from getting into your home? How does your DH handle it? Safe travels today.

Jezzie, is that a foot bridge at the bottom of the picture? Have you been across it? Neat to be surrounded by that beauty.

Gladys glad that your DD can live in the trailer at least. Got any birds left yet?

Going on a boat ride today with some of our church people. Fr. Babu is going along for the ride. Should be fun.

I mixed Oxy Dish Soap with Resolve Carpet Cleaner and hot water... Hot Shot from Wal-Mart works good too for spot cleaning.

It's doing the every afternoon rain thing here.Usually doesn't last long,but it cools down for a while.I went out late to put Q in his day yard,it was very hot.
We use to skate in the olden days but would not get on any now.Afraid to break something that would not heal.
I missed some stuff so will go read up.

I made me a pot of coffee with cinnamon in it, and boy did that curb my appetite. I may just have to do that more often...

The trailer repairman came and after talking with the insurance,they will total her home.It can still be fixed.She is not sure if she will buy or repair.She has an outdoor kitchen that she can live in while the repairs are going on.They say 8/10 days which we all know is a month or more.
Lin sorry about all the news with your mom,glad she has you.

I know that totaling with a car is a good thing but not sure about trailers.
Does that mean they pay the full cost of the repairs Gladys? I sure hope so.

Loretta: I've been on the Bear Mountain Bridge a number of times but never noticed that.
Sure looks like a foot bridge. I'll have to ask Darren.
That object in yesterdays picture was just a log. Many people think it's a turtle or alligator.

I am not use to posting every day. I just forgot, so here I am today.Went to the gym and then swimming with the grandkids. Still lots of smoke here, and it's all the way down past Sacramento, they have all kinds of warnings out for people to be careful and stay indoors. Out our window right now it looks like fog on the Moors of Scotland. We have the house closed off, but it still smells like smoke in the house anyway.
