Vervet Monkey

Good Morning ...

Had a unplanned meet up with a former employee. Second time I've seen
an employee this month.

This one brought me over to the car and said to her mother:
"Do you know who this is?" "Big Red". lol.

Her mother actually remembered my real name.
I said "Well actually now I really am big --- but not so red anymore".

Be Back Later .....

Good Morning, Big Red! Somehow I just cannot associate that name with you . . .

Well, guess what, Gang? It's RAINING. . . you know. . . for a change

The good thing is that yesterday I potted up the national debt's worth in annuals. I love containers and am partial to trailing plants such as sweet potato and the bronze one like it in a mix with petunias in pink mixed with white and purple mixed with neon pink. Sounds hideous as I write it, but it's GOOD . . .really. I had yellow petunias ONCE--years ago but they were too pale. I like the ones you have, Doris, so I need to check them out.

Janie, you got to 16!!!!!????>:notwrth y: I never managed anything above thirteen and that was after you told me how. . .

It's Friday. Knock yourselves out doing FUN things, Everybody, and I PROMISE to get caught up with everybody tomorrow when WORK isn't sending out its clarion call

Lin

Jezzie, have you heard from Mike et al since they got to China? I know they are far away from epicenter but still...

Computer man coming this morning to replace a part in my new computer. Lunch out this afternoon. Later a consult job.
So...busy day.

Lin. I am trying to make myself quit that game as it so unfairly froze on me after reaching 16.

I am out to spend my own small fortune on plants tomorrow.

What game? I want to know!!!!
Lin, I have red and purple petunias in the same container, for the red hat association that I do not belong to, but love the color scheme. Also pinks, reds, and another one I have purple and pink and light orchid.
I love petunias. I will look for Doris' yellow ones this weekend or next. I am so busy its not funny. And Lin, dont work so hard.
Hi Janie.
Hi Jezzie. Love your stories!!

Good Morning, we are going to de-fog our house of bugs this morning. I found a Scorpion in my Great Room downstairs while I was cleaning, so the spring bugs are coming in. I killed that stinking thing with a broom. Boy did he fight me hard.

I will check-in later and see how you all are.

Welcome back Patty. I like your new avitar. You look a lot younger in this one than the other one.

Janie and Lin I could never figure out that game. I have yet to match 3 pieces. They just keep on switching and I get no where. I prefer your word game Janie and play there a lot.

Finally a sunshiney day. I need to mow the lawn, but I think I will wait until tomorrow. We have had tons of rain. My flowers are about drowned.

Doris, you need a smaller yard. Sounds like most of your time is spent out there weeding, cutting and working instead of enjoying. Although some of that yard work can be enjoyable.

Hey Big Red. Nice nick name, I guess. Don't think I have every had one. No one has ever called me Lori, or any other dimunitive of Loretta.

How about the rest of you. Do you go by a nickname and what is your real name???

Wow! Patty, Love your new avitar Pic...you look like a youngster. WTG!

Our weather is still gorgeous and sunny w blue skies, the temps are a little cooler more seasonal. I believe we are in for rain for the weekend. It is a long weekend up here as Monday is Victoria Day.

Did a couple of hours work this morning attending a meeting then went to my Exercise class, then home, need to do some more chores slow to get going on them.

Waving to Y'all.

Thanks SuSun.... We just got home not long ago. While we were out, we went by and got our drivers license renewed. I am glad that we got that over with, and we only have a couple weeks before we go to California for Henry's Aunt's 95th Birthday Party.

Janie: No, I don't expect to hear from Laureen. I always assume no news is good news.

Has your Dad recovered completely from his fall? ..... When are you heading east?

Loretta: I'm not too fond of my name so I'm Jezzie, Jexie or harmony everywhere I post.
Everyone in the family calls me Grammy. That's because Tara taught Kokee that I was Grammy.

Big Red originallycame from one of the dentists I worked for.
Then one of the Supervisors I worked with at the PO always referred to me as The Redhead.
I made the mistake of telling Suzie-Q that the term The Redhead reminded me of the Big Red.
She ran with it.

I am down to 195 pounds - that is a 40 pound loss since January 6

That was my initial goal, but I have moved it lower, down to 180 pounds.

And the obligatory photo

Mine was the middle of September and I think Ron's was in the spring. Since mine was 11 years ago, look how some of the trees have grown.

Loretta, see those lovely garden photos, that's why we are out there in the yard alot................................. We have an acre, dh dreamed of "his" acre back when we lived in a tract house in San Jose, so when we moved up here, as soon as we saw this acre and house, that was that. Yes, we will move away one of these days too.

Ron, you have done great work with the weight loss!!!!

Lin, back when I used to work at a nursery, it was 1988 and "they" had just introduced yellow Petunia's, and they were that pale, mild yellow color than. That is why I bought these new kind, lol. What a difference a bunch of years of hybridizing makes. Do any of you folks have Liatris?? I've been looking for some of those, will check next time we go down to the valley. dh always swears when we push our latest cart of goods out to the car, that "we are done for the season, no more garden stuff and plants", and then he is the one who mentions next time we go down to a city, "oh, we NEED some more potting soil, I'll just pick up 2 bags on the way home"...........that's all though.

I've never played any kind of game on computer, not even solitaire. My son showed me once that it was on here, but I couldn't say now where that was. lol

I wondered what kind of job you had Jezzie, that someone was allowed to call you "Big Red". I've been called "dorydo" before, and then some German terms of endearment I'd guess you'd call them. But nothing serious. Why don't you like your real name Jezzie?? My mother was going to call me Renate instead of Doris, I don't know why she picked that out, since it isn't very popular in Germany. What is your middle name all of youse guys out there??? Mine is Elisabeth.

I too wonder about your Dad's health Janie??

Good Night, and good luck.

Doris
