OT: The Colors of Africa

Seven of Wen's pictures from their recent trip to Botswana, South Africa, Zambia.

The first three are obviously sunsets. lol.
In the first picture Jamie and Wen were sitting outside their tent along the shore.

This is where they swam with the Botswana hippos. Hippos are gentle animals and
payed them no mind. However, if there had been a baby nearby the humans would be
warned first by the hippo coming towards them and then stopping.

If the silly human kept advancing he would be killed. - Hippos kill more humans than
any other African animal.

The elephant is second. If you had a bad encounter once --- the elephant actually
does remember you. He will kill you the next time ..... without hesitation.

A group of teenage male giraffes. - There were about two dozen in the group.

In some pictures you could see the adult male chaperon who was larger and a darker color.
Very curious ..... and unafraid of humans.

One Angry Elephant
Wen took this picture through the back window of the bus.
Jamie said the elephant periodically 'trumpeted' as he chased them.

I think Wen did amazing photography work. No photoshopping.
I saw over two hundred Africa pictures and not a bad one in the bunch.

Doris I don't have a baby elephant on hand to give you so I gave you a small monkey
for now. ..... But I sure hope the little divil doesn't eat hummingbirds.

Wen also had a lot of Impala pictures. They are plentiful. Known as the "Fast food of the Jungle".

I love that monkey too Jezzie, lol. I did steal the elephant photo as my wallpaper for now though. I intend to go back and pick up a few more too!!! It's a pleasure to see those.
