The thing I found interesting about this picture was that the goggles are not
a photo op prop.
They are to protect the little people's eyes while on the water. Who knew?
Then again how many boat owners do I know these days. ..... Uhh ... None.

It's going to be a mighty fine day in my valley. An almost perfect 70*.
And since we had two days of off again on again rain it's as green as can be.

I'll be off to see the Wizard of Hannaford. ..... Down to my last 8 bs. of little
people with fur food.
Happy Cinco de Mayo muchacho and muchachas bueno.

Good morning, everyone!

Sorry I've been among the missing for a couple of days but DH was down for the weekend and kind of hogs my computer when he's here. He did fix a slowness problem I'd been having so I'm thankful.

Had a rather quiet weekend. Did attack the asparagus bed. What a mess! I'd checked it the week before and it needed so much work clearing out the old dead fronds, weeding, etc. Then we got all that rain. Then it got so cold here. Well, I bet I cut down and tossed away 10 lbs of the stuff! It was all too big and frozen to boot! So, out it went, I threw some fertilizer on it and I'm hoping for the best. It's a large, well established patch so I'm sure it will come back but all that asparagus.... AAAAARRRRRRGHHHH! I "butt crawled" right down the middle of the patch and was I sore the next day!

Mom is having surgery on that cyst on her wrist on Wednesday, so I might be a little scarce the next couple of days. Lots of prep stuff to do and then dealing with the aftermath of the surgery.

It's funny. Someone from the hospital called the other day and talked to her about the surgery and the procedures pre-surgery, etc. She can't remember a single thing she said so I have to track down the gal at the hospital and try to get the info. This should be so interesting!

Have to run. Mass is over and it's time for breakfast.

Talk to everyone later. Have a great day.

Loretta: Thought about you all weekend.

Jezzie: You're doing it again! Wish we had a Hannaford here. I'm jealous!

How in the world do they get dogs/cats to wear stuff??? I tried to get a Santa hat on the canine furbaby last Christmas and you'd have thought I was killing her. I got one for each of the furbabies to surprise DH on Christmas morning but the look the felines gave me as I approached with those adorable little hats made me abandon my plan immediately!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Yesterday was beautiful, so DH and I and our daughter planted a 10X20 ft. garden. We planted a lot of tomatoes and all kinds of peppers as well as some spinach, cabbage and cucumbers. We will be planting green beans and melons next week. We also bought a couple of fruit trees (dwarf aooke and peach) and my husband planted them. So we shall be eating lots of veggies this summer and maybe by next year have some fruit off our trees.

Cute photo Jezzie, . I think those kinds of dogs are used to wearing the same stuff as their owners. It's genetic............sorta like Paris Hilton's pets.

It's almost 75 here today, I'm sneezing cause dh decided to weed eat some stuff out front and the front door is open and it all wafts inside.

Sheila, hope you enjoy your garden time. What kinds of flowers do you have, I forgot. We have early Columbines beginning to open, but it's too soon, could still snow on them and break their little necks.

Later.

I just re-read my post about planting fruit trees and see I mis-typed "apple" ha ha. I meant "drawf apple tree."

HI

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. Some of the dds of Dh are still here. They will leave for sure by Thursday. I feel as if I would like some time alone, yet at the same time I am happy for their company.

Seem to be in a fog here and I don't see any clearing real soon.

Hospice picked up the hospital bed and oxygen supplies today. I knew that would upset me.

Finally have a few minutes for myself this evening. I peek in here when I get a chance.
We have beautiful weather.

Kris hope all goes well for your mom's surgery on Wednesday.

BBwhen I can.

Lol Fluffy, I wondered what kind of tree an "aooke" tree was, but figured I'm from California, what do I know???

Carolyn, how is Betty doing nowadays?? My mother also would not remember exactly all the stuff someone says on the phone about med facts. Even dh would not answer the phone because he says he can't handle all those questions and so forth. One would think the people making those calls could tell by the way the person they speak with talks to them, that they need to find another way to parley the info. They have the patient's info in front of them, for Pete's sakes!!! Sigh.

It turned out to be a nice weather day today, mostly because of the lack of wind. Our mountain still has snow, so it looks nice at least.

Have a good night!!
