Just saying hello early, lol.

I wish I could find those Kippered snacks, we used to eat them for dinner with potatoes cooked, an old German type meal actually. I haven't seen them in stores in ages. I do have some sardines here, but it's not the same. There is another similar German meal, you warm up Linseed oil and pour that over, you guessed it, cooked potatoes................ When my brothers were just growing up, my folks used to travel 10 miles to a "cheap" market on the outskirts of Fresno, just to buy 100 lb. sacks of potatoes!! Because that is what they could afford to feed my growing brothers, lol. Those days the sacks were made of cloth, and my Mom would sew tops for herself and me out of them. Funny how "Kippered snacks" brought back those memories.

See yah later folks.

I've discovered frozen bags of berries that I had bought for dh beginning of last year, back when he could only eat those protein powder smoothies. Well, I'm not gonna toss them, lol so I'm determined to finish them off. dh says to throw them out, but two are those huge bags from Costco. So I have to defrost them in a large bowl, and then drain them before eating. I made the mistake of putting blueberries in the bag into the fridge to defrost, not figuring that the bag would leak. Had blue/bloody looking mess all over the eggs and fridge. Finally figured out to use a bowl. Duh Doris!!!

See you all tomorrow.
