Hi Everyone, I'm back! What a long couple of days! The wedding went well and was fast but they were the 14th couple to get married so we had to wait a while and watch the 13 weddings ahead of them! Didn't have much time to spend after but they loved the dessert I brought!

I'll post a few pics shortly...I had originally posted a link but DS emailed and asked that I close the online album....he says he wants everyone to look forward to the Sept. wedding instead.

I enjoyed the photo Linda, and I'm glad you guys got through it all too!!!

Well, does sitting in the car 6 hrs, and sitting for 3 hours drinking coffee and eating breakfast count as anything for exercise for today?? I lifted that coffee cup many many times friends. And I yapped and yapped too. Also sat in the car 6 hrs. yesterday..................

Monday things will be more "normal".

Had to send that strip to several folks with the same mindset, thanks Jezzie!!

Linda are those beds of tulips behind the wedded couple? Beautiful.

Doris glad to hear that you will get off your butt and back to your normal workouts today. That riding can be boring. Do you get to drive at all?

Exercise workout upper and lower body 30 min using 2 lb hand weights.
Biking 60 min or more.

Loretta, the tulips were gorgeous! I insisted on a pic in front of them even though they thought I was being silly! The weather was so much warmer there than by our house!

I'm on my way downstairs to do weights now....

Did the bike 1 hr. 40 min. Nope, didn't have any "pillow" for myself in the car. I don't drive Loretta, we thought of maybe getting a small car for me, and with all this gas price nonsense, it wouldn't be worth it at this point.

I'm doing my weights in here now, and have the news on, there have been 17 small earthquakes around Reno lately, so I want to hear what the news says about them. I've been feeling them here.

If your neck's in knots from stress and tension -- or too many hours in front of the computer -- it might be time to flap your wings.

Strength-training exercises aimed at toning arm, shoulder, and neck muscles can help soothe a chronic crick in the neck, research shows.

If you've got neck pain, talk to your doctor before you begin any exercise program. He or she may want to guide you to safe choices.

In a study, simple dumbbell-in-hand exercises -- like lifting your arms straight out from your sides (kind of looks like you're flapping your wings) or doing one-arm rows -- soothed people's stiff necks after 10 weeks of supervised strength training.

I had 2 bike rides today! One outdoors and one indoors! I tested/timed a route that DS and I may use in the mornings before he goes to work. It's a short route through the nearby park. Just long enough to get a workout but not so bad he has to get up way too early to do it. Now he just needs to decide if he really wants to do it.

Then I did a half hour on the bike downstairs. I needed to burn off a little energy.

I had my consultation this morning and I'll be having the gallbladder surgery on May 12th. DS will be taking me since DH has to be out of town that week. It will be good to just get it done!

Linda, will you have to stay in the hospital overnight for that surgery, or have the "experts" made it into another "touch and go" thingy so the bean counter's can save money?? I will be sure to wish you well then, heck, it's the day after Mother's Day too.

I walked my 2 miles today, and did the bike 1 hr. 20 min. That's it, had so much to do in the kitchen this afternoon, we had bought strawberries last week, so had to fix up the last of them for our snack tonight. Then all the dishes, seems like they have "babies" overnight in our kitchen.

Hi Everyone! Got a short bike ride today - it's really windy so I'm happy I did as much as I did. I'll be doing weights in a little while.

Doris, the surgery is now outpatient surgery so I should be home around noon (surgery is at 7:30 a.m.) DS took the day off to cart me back and forth and spend the first day home with me while DH is gone. I'm actually pleased that DH will be gone because he has a tendency to hover and pester me to see if I need anything. While I appreciate his efforts, he tends to go overboard!

Sheila, good to see you! The picture is in St. Louis, where they live. It was a 6 hour drive to get there and another one to get back - all in one day!

Yeah Linda, there are many folks who exercise outside in all parts of the country who have noticed alot more annoying wind than in the past. dh and I notice it, in fact, you get to know when it's gonna begin each day too.

I walked my 2 very quickly this AM, did 1 hr. 20 min on the bike, lucky for me a long overtime soccer game. Tomorrow the games begin at 9:30AM, so dh and I will be actively watching and pedalling along.

Doing my weights in here tonight.

Our wind usually picks up late afternoon for a few hours.
It has something to do with the river. I don't remember the explanation.
It's quite welcome in the summer though.

Walking walking walking. But not getting anywhere quick.

10 min walk up same hill this afternoon till I met up with a six ft rat snake. I turned around and came back down the hill. Fast.....
Will do wall pushups or weights later.

Whoa Nelly, I'd high tail it back home if I saw a six footed rat snake Sheila!!! Heck, when I walk in the summer and the garter snakes are warming themselves on the road, it makes me suddenly "schriek" and neighbors run out to see what happened, lol.

Did 2 hrs on the bike today, only walked one mile, had to hurry back, too much to do and not enough time to do it all.........

Danced a bit last night, just some two stepping with the music.

It was 25 degrees this morning, and the breeze came in around 10:30 though. Not as bad as the days before though, that's a start.

My hubby said it was probably an oak snake. I thought they were the same?

Today walked up the big hill. Will incorporate many moves in my daily things today. Weights? Maybe, stretches for sure. Maybe I will put on Richard and dance a little later. 80 degrees here today with dry air and very windy.... LOVE it.!!!!

Hi Everyone! I was able to get out for a ride before the storms hit although I did get sprinkled on for the last half of the ride. I was able to get 12.59 miles today which was less than I hoped for but I'm glad I got it!

I'll be doing weights, etc. later but need to go to the store first.

I'm glad we don't see many snakes around here! Although we do see some wildlife (raccoons, possums, deer, turtles, frogs and things like that).

Ron ,I sure wished I could walk like that. I use to love hiking when I was younger but now I have arthritis bad in my knees and it does all I can do now to walk,
I swim in the pool everyday so I do get plenty of exercise and keep a good tan to.
Been swimming since I was a child and always loved it.

Doris, wtg girl. I have a bike in my living room and I HATE IT.

15 min walk up the hill. Getting cloudy. Bad storms suppose to come this way. Will walk again later if the rain quits.
Also weights for upper body, maybe some core exercises.

Those storms are hitting you guys hot and heavy, boy oh boy!! My son has never seen such lightning he told me, and all those sirens going off. I still think I'll take my earthquakes................ if I have to take anything.

2 hrs on the bike and lots of yardwork, lifting stuff for dh and so forth. Have to water, not much rain is coming even though they say a LOW is on the move towards us by tomorrow night.

I'll be in here dancing and prancing to some of the Opry, but then Boxing is on HBO so I'm watching with hubby.
