Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion 30 Day Smoothing Kit

I wish I'd read the reviews and warnings before buying this.
I'm returning it ASAP.
Melting hair? Chemical burns? Hair falling out in clumps? No thanks!

I actually looked at it today in the store but quickly put it back after reading on the side not to use on highlighted hair. I'm so glad I did.

So what is it for and why do people use this? Sounds very scary.

Dawn my hair is frizzy in the spring lol. I was looking for something to help with that, but I read a lot of scary stuff about this product!
I did buy the suave keratin shampoo and conditioner and I've used it once and like the results. It tamed the frizz. And it's low-sulfite, which I like.

I checked out the shampoo and conditioner today while I was at CVS and it seemed pretty harmless. Then I saw the blurb about the 30 day infusion and that it was indeed a separate product. I was all "Ah, this is what is harmful". I didn't even bother looking for the 30 day set because of what you posted above. Thanks for explaining, Dottie! I am glad you like the simple shampoo and conditioner.

Dawn I am amazed at how 2 washings and conditionings with it have made my frizz really calmed down, and not that heavy, greasy conditioner feeling.

Dawn have you tried the shampoo and conditioner?
I LOVE them! It's taken care of the winter frizzies and it doesn't look or feel heavy or oily at all.

Dottie, I also opted not to get the 30 day treatment! I saw some awful reviews as well. I do love the conditioner/shampoo and dry shampoo however! I hope they keep this line around, I feel as though I should stock up.

Kat me too! I have been using the Nexxus pro mend line and I love it but it's about 4x the cost of Suave lol. I hope suave comes out with a leave-in or heat protection spray in this keratin line (they may already, just haven't seen it locally).

Not yet, but will. Thanks for the great review. I am enjoying Dove hair care with the weightless oils right now. But will try that next!

I got dd this Suave shampoo and she really likes it. I'll get her the conditioner, too (but not the 30 day smoothing kit!--thanks for the warning).

As a rule, I love Suave! I usually buy the stuff in the orange bottle called 'Sleek' that is a knock off of Matrix. It really is as good as the expensive salon stuff.

I'm so glad you posted this. I wasn't even sure what a Keratin treatment was, but it sounded cool so I was going to buy it. I never imagined it could ruin your hair!
